This is the nicest boutique hotel I’ve visited since the cotton house in Barcelona. Love it.

This is a charming boutique hotel which was originally a bank and law offices. The E stands for Empire - the original name of the building. Our third floor room was small but well-appointed, with modern industrial styling. I'm not a fan of them, but they are functional; the bathroom had a barn door. The room was surprisingly quiet considering our location in the heart of the restaurant and shopping district. You can stop outside long enough to check in, but then you have to find street or parking structure parking. Street parking is free and plentiful after 6pm. The hotel also offers valet parking. The surrounding area is very walk-able, and we found plenty of interesting stores and restaurants nearby as well as a lovely little park across the road from the hotel. The hotel has a wine bar on the first floor, but it didn't seem to be very busy. Continental breakfast is served in the wine bar, and was included in our room rate. however, the food selection was rather sparse - apples, oranges, orange juice from concentrate, muffins and yogurt. There was plenty of good coffee! The staff were lovely and very helpful. I would certainly stay here again.

Simple, if you want a worry free all inclusive stay, pick Hotel E and plan to be AMAZED. We visited Russian River Brewery & Restaurant, La Rosa Tequileria/Belly Left Coast Kitchen & Tap Room and the Mediterranean Kitchen.

This is an excellent hotel. Comfortable beds, quiet rooms, good location, good WiFi, super nice staff, and the water filter system in the lobby is awesome. Valet parking is $18 per day which is very reasonable though do expect that picking up and dropping off takes a little bit of time. The only negative thing I can think of (and even then I can't be that negative, here) is that breakfast is fine. It'll be just fine if you're short on time but I think there are better places in the area for breakfast. It's still nice to have this option! Would gladly stay here again.

Modern, clean, comfortable rooms! Other reviews said the room are small, and they are, but I was solo, so it wasn't an issue for me! Lisa at the front desk was awesome, but I think my favorite thing was how QUIET my room on the second floor was! Parking could be an issue, as there is not alot of it, but I was fortunate that it wasn't an issue for me!

We have just had a two night stay at this hotel and thoroughly recommend it. From the moment we checked in the service was superb - would you like a glass of zinfandel? (Yes was the answer…) The rooms and property are immaculate. The continental breakfast was great and all one needed to start the day. It is right in the centre of town, so super convenient to walk everywhere. The front desk staff were incredibly helpful - with a special shout out for Shirin who went well above and beyond what is expected. If we ever return to Santa Rosa/Sonoma, Hotel E would definitely be our choice.

Fantastic hotel with very friendly staff. The rooms and lobby area are beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The only downside is that it takes time to retrieve your car from valet parking, so be sure to ask for it well in advance. There are other breakfast options just across the square and there are some very nice restaurants within walking distance. Ask at reception for recommendations. We hope to be back for a longer stay.

This hotel is in the heart of Santa Rosa, in Courthouse Square. Lots of nearby restaurants. It has a modern look. They have a happy hour in the hotel for wine products and such, and the staff are very friendly. Beds were comfy enough. Breakfast was light but good. On the negative side, rooms are on the small side. No true desk in the room. Valet service was not very good, long wait for your car. Nonetheless, I'd go back, it's a pretty good place to stay.

Although I rated this hotel a 4 I would like to have given it a 4.5. The rooms are very nice, although a bit small, and the staff is very welcoming and helpful. The continental breakfast is adequate but not exciting. If I was in the area again I would not hesitate to stay here.

Very friendly staff, great environment, lovely building and rooms very comfortable. In all a relaxing place to stay at a very reasonable price. It was very central for the Sonoma valley wine region and close to the centre of town with bars, restaurants and shops on the doorstep. The weather was good which helps but worth a visit if you are intending to go wine tasting

After a long day out finally enjoying a glass of wine at our hotels lobby Enology Lounge. Small but beautiful seating area. The wine list is good, they also have beer. Happy Hour from 5-7 gives you $2 off drinksService was ok. Same person working at the reception and bar, this place really has staff shortage.

Fantastic hotel and property! The service was excellent as was the staff. The rooms were very well appointed including bathroom toiletries, clothes iron and robes. It is very well situated to close dinning options. They had a nice continental breakfast. I highly recommend this hotel!

Hotel E was a nice little boutique hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room although small was comfortable with all the upscale amenities you would expect. This was worth the stay. I would give it 4.5 stars if possible. The biggest draw back was the room size for 2 people and the lack of outlets by the desk
