Korean soup is usually my comfort food, and I ordered a Kimchi Jjigae from this restaurant for the first time and this soup is VERY VERY SWEET and I could barely eat. It’s supposed to be spicy and I have never tasted a Kimchi soup that is sweet. I was so disappointed since the food was packed so well.

This is a Japanese - Korean combo restaurant. Do not order Korean food here. There’s no bbq grill on the table so all the grilling happens in the kitchen. The grill is dirty, so the meat comes out extremely burnt. 70%+ not edible. There’s no banchan and you can taste the msg in the food in general. The worst is the pricing — it’s one of the most over priced menu I’ve ever seen anywhere.

Delicious kalbi, spicy kimchi tofu stew, and best stone bibimbab I have ever had. Very friendly service. Casual and comfy ambiance. Best Korean restaurant in Sonoma county!

We found HanBul while looking for dinner in the santa rosa area. Finding the restaurant was a bit confusing, but you enter through the sushi restaurant next door. It's unclear to see on maps or even by the main signage, but it's 2 restaurants together. Took us a few minutes to figure this out.You can order from both menus, but we opted to get the korean food. We got spicy bulgogi and kalbi. We were given banchan as part of the meal (as expected!). The good was pretty good in my opinion, but i found the portions to be a bit smaller for how much you pay for.Location-wise, we also went later in the evening. There was a fair amount of parking, but there was a handful of houseless folks in the area, which was a bit rough given how long we walked back and forth to actually find the place. Overall, would consider coming back if we find ourselves in the area again!

We went to eat this Korean restaurant after a Christmas concert. It was our first time. My husband ordered Dol Sot Bibimbap and I ordered Pahjeon (Korean pancake). His Bibimbap’s sauce (Gochijang) was watery and too sweet. His bibimbap had almost no taste. This is very simple food but the chef does not understand the taste? My Kimchi Pahjeon’s sauce was not good. I was wondering maybe the chef does not understand Korean foods. Our waitress was friendly but when I asked for a small bowl for Bibimbap, It took nearly 15 minutes to get, we were almost finished eating. ?. I am Japanese and perhaps we shouldn’t have ordered Korean food. The lantern lights were dusty. Maybe the Health Department should check this restaurant. We were very disappointed with this restaurant. We will not be back again and can not recommend it.

This is one of our go-to restaurants, especially in winter when their hot and hearty food den even more satisfying. We typically get the combo specials, with bulgogi and one of their four delicious stews. We prefer the Kimchi Stew - as it is piping hot, a little spicy, and has great hunks of tofu and pork. The banchan is a great addition too - it's always a culinary treat to get to try all of the small plates too. The dining room is really cool too - and usually pretty lively - it seems like they are always busy! Be sure to leave room for desert- the in-house made ice cream is a real treat!

Best bibimbap around!!! Hands down this is probably the best Korean bbq in the area. Always delicious with a great atmosphere.
I visited HanBul Korean BBQ for lunch on the weekend, and it left me with mixed feelings. On the positive side, we were seated fairly quickly, and there was decent room at the tables, although the overall layout felt a bit cramped for walking. Unfortunately, the decor didn't leave much of an impression, and the restaurant seemed crowded. We opted for the Bossam, which includes pork belly, cabbage wraps, and oysters, along with Korean side dishes and tofu soup. Regrettably, the food was only okay, and the cabbage wraps were disappointingly soggy and ice-cold. I must also mention that the oysters had a rather fishy taste, which was quite off-putting.

Big portions with all the sides. Tasted as authentic as I could make it.
When coming here, you will see a sign to go dine in the sushi restaurant. I guess the owner is responsible for both restaurants. They did have sushi menu too.The food was pretty good. I have a couple things that prevent this from being a 5 star rating:1. Super cold in restaurant2. Limit on banchan3. The ambiance was just okay
