During a business trip to Rohnert Park, we were fortunate enough to happen upon this gem! A menu with the right amount of variety. The food was absolutely delicious. The Walter Hansel Cuvee Alyce Chardonnay was breathtaking. I have never had better. The service was incredible. They had a small staff working to serve, but as soon as we finished a course, they were removing the dishes and delivering the next course, which was perfectly prepared. The restaurant is intimate, warm and inviting. It was very clear the entire staff enjoyed what they were doing and were proud of their work, as they should be! We look forward to the next opportunity to return, for sure. The only disappointing thing is that we live too far away to come here often.

this restarant never disappoints. excellent service and very well prepared food. Menu is always interesting as it changes with the season. A bonus is the well priced wines from Owners winery. We'll be back!

Food was overpriced and they forgot part of our order. Most likely won't returnVegetarian options: Nothing worth eating.

We went for the prix fixe dinner during restaurant week. Absolutely outstanding food. Fantastic service. My only criticism would be the bread. Seems like they could find a higher quality bread to serve, but that is a relatively minor critique in what was otherwise an overall excellent dinner experience.

We had the privilege to get reservations during restaurant week and couldn't have asked for a better meal. Everything was top notch from the service, to the food. We also were introduced to the Walter Hansel wine label. His Pinots are like no other. Fantastic. ?

Amazing food, perfect service.I f anything, I felt like they were a little speedier then usual in the serving dept. Maybe they were extra busy with restaurant week. I like the casual, take your time service we usually get. Lovely place. Highly recommend

I love how this wonderful place treats everyone like a very special guest. The food was perfect. Our service was especially lovely. Every server was glowing and gracious. It was a very special evening.

The noise level inside was pretty loud, so we chose to sit in their cozy outdoor area which was nice and quiet, and warm with the heaters. It's one of our favorite places, the food is always top notch and service is friendly and casual.

Denis our server was fantastic..salmon dinners were excellent very tasty. The flat iron steak was exceptionally tender but the sauce needed a little more zing. Otherwise, a fabulous dinner!

We returned after staying away for 5 years after a very bad experience on New Year's eve in 2017 or 2018. I'm glad we did since our dinners were pretty good an good service. My halibut was over cooked but other's enjoyed their steak and frites. the profiterole dessert was good. We will try it again.

This was our first time dining at Walter Hansel. We had heard very good things about it from friends and Restaurant Week gave us the opportunity to try. All I can say it will now be one of our “go to restaurants “ - and our “go to” list is short. Think that says it all ?????

I pass this place a few times a week, and I've been wanting to go for some time. So took my girlfriend for an early Valentines dinner. The wait staff was on top of everything . We had the crab fondue appetizer which was very tasty . I had the surf and turf special , my steak was one of the best I've ever had. We will be going back

I haven't had such bad food in a long time. I love this restaurant and their food had has been very good. last night the salad was drowning in Ceaser dressing and when it was returned it came back with the same thing, not eatable. The crab meat risotto was a huge disappointment at 44.00. Not a single lump of crab meat it was shredded and I had to put on glasses to look for it. The risotto was poorly cooked and the sauce so salty it was inedible. Same with the glop under the fish dish....salty and so creamy it was not got. I was so sad to have a ruined Valentines day meal. they did get our special table right and the service was amazing. They comped a glass of wine bc the salad was so bad. Next year VD at home.

Walter Hansel Bistro is our favorite place to have a romantic evening, or celebration. We enjoy the warm hospitality as well as the fantastic food. We always start with champagne and their yummy pomme frites. They often offer a three course meal for those on a budget. The full menu has many delightful choices. I'm vegan and always have lots to choose from. They really care that their customers are having a wonderful dining experience.

Roasted beet salad was lovely. Crab risotto was good but needed more creaminess, and the saffron foam did nothing for the dish overall. We are not fans of foams. The halibut was excellent, the richness of the beurre blanc balanced by the broth used in the potatoes gratin Savoyard. The pineapple/tomato garnish was unusual but tasty. Apple tartine was very fine, although we didn't taste any brandy in the caramel sauce. The sorbets were disappointing - on our previous trip they had been very intense in flavor, but something has changed with this brand (Fiorello's). The formerly amazing pistachio was now almost tasteless; maple butter pecan became much too sweet with the maple syrup added so generously. But the apricot chardonnay sorbet redeemed it all: although the texture suffered (common with alcoholic frozen desserts) the flavor was bright and like eating the best Turkish apricots.
