“Love love love Cajun/Creole food! I was more than pleasantly surprised to find this gem in my neck of the woods, and am happy to report that Mardi Gras Tuesday will be my go-to Cajun/Creole joint for the foreseeable future. Mind you, I'm no expert on the cuisine, but I've been a fan for a long time and can happily endorse the Étouffée (crawfish), the Jambalaya, the Mac and Cheese, hushpuppies, and the friendly service at Mardi Gras Tuesday. *Though the cornbread didn't necessarily wow me, all and all, it was a great meal for the portions, price and quality. And considering they got slammed as soon as we walked in (around the start of the Super Bowl), the service was quick and we were in and out of there with bellies full of comfort food within an hour. Can't wait to go back!“
“Most excellent experience and food was perfect. We had the duck eggrolls and the ricotta stuffed squash blossoms as starters, both had a delish specialty drink. I had the house burger with 3 different meats ground in including wagyu. Was done perfectly med rare. No room for dessert this time. Will def go back. Service was nice, we sat at the bar. All in all a great experience.“
“My wife and I came by here for a family get together and had a blast. The food was absolutely delicious. We love sides and had the Mac & cheese, collard greens and my favorite, the black eyed peas and rice aka The Rolling Johns. The owners really make the place special, and we were fortunate enough to have a quick conversation with one of the owners Chef. You can feel the love in the food and the building. Hands down the best soul food I’ve had in Los Angeles.“

“UDATE:Since the pandemic they pretty much had stopped being a restaurant, on top of being a great coffee spot and the best seafood place in LA (in my opinion). I can't tell you how much I miss all the amazing food I used to get there, including, of course, my favorite clam chowder ANYWHERE.But now, they are serving really incredible hand rolls for lunch and dinner four or five days a week (I can't remember exactly)But all I can say after scarfing down about 9 of their amazing hand rolls is: move over Kazu Nori. For $32 you get 6 delicious hand rolls. An incredible deal for the quality of the seafood.Great fresh fish that's dry aged. I had the Black Cod with the Kale and Potatoes, which was excellent. But the "Clam Chowder" is the best I've had and I'm from New England, the heart of Chowder country, Cape Cod to be specific. This is the chowder I would make if i was a gourmet chef. I know a lot of people like a thick chowder with lots of potatoes, I'm not one of them. I think it takes away from that incredible clam flavor. They make it with a light broth, a touch of dairy, leeks, and about 20 whole clams. NO POTATOES. I can't tell you how hard it is to find a chowder with no potatoes, let alone no flour added to increase the thickness. I can't wait to go back to get this chowder. I ended the meal with a delicious homemade cookie and cold brewed oat milk latte. I'm really looking forward to trying their calamari, fish tacos, lobster roll, and oysters on the half shell. I might just have to go back tomorrow.So, I've been back a few times now and everything I've had is really amazing. I bought a lb. of their house smoked salmon to bring to a Super Bowl Party (Another great Pats win) and heated it at 360 for 5 minutes, like they told me to, and it was fantastic. I've also had their lobster rolls, which were very good, and the grilled shrimp which was excellent, and also the crudo, which was great, but the outstanding dish here, above all else, is the scallops. I can't wait to go back for them. This is now my go to seafood place. Everything I've had is worth going back for.“
“Finally a place I can order 1/2 lb of shrimp if I just want enough for myself. Not forced to pay for more than I need. The "Big Boy" beer is just a great deal and lives up to its name for sure! Try the catfish fry it's super fresh and the Cajun season fries are drool worthy! Really nice staff that is always there to assist if anything is needed. It's also very clean and spacious inside with a hand wash station available outside the restrooms. Very happy with my visits here, I live down the street and I'm very happy about being able to get this whenever I want!“

Note that the medium is fairly spicy, so anyone sensitive to spice, go with mild.Tried the Baingan Bharta, Chicken Tikka, and Saag Paneer along with the Chef’s Dinner of Aloo Gobi, Lamb Curry, Dal Makhani, “salad”, veggie rice, and Chicken Tandoori.Portion size is good for the price and the quality seemed high. Chef’s choice is easily enough food for 2, which makes it the best deal on the menu. Food was well prepared. Not too salty.First time trying Baingan Bharta and this one was excellent. You could taste the flavor-enriching process to cook it.One suggestion would be to increase the amount of Naan provided as two pieces for $5.50, especially given the amount of food ordered is light. I think 3-4 pieces would’ve been more appropriate.Seems like this is a family restaurant with a few generations working here. Happy to keep coming back.“
“I had a great experience with family dining at PUCHICA restaurant food was delicious. The waiter that assist us was very attentive and he was able to recommend different types of plates. He said that he loves el chile relleno that it was his favorite we try and loved it. I believe the waiter name was Daniel. “Malama Pono has been my favourite restaurant in the neighborhood since 2021. I have always enjoyed my time here. Wonderful food and staff! BEST crispy rice in town!! Come here and you will not be disappointed. I’ve brought different people here and they all loved it. Everything on the menu is delicious.“
