“From the moment I walked in I was impressed with this quaint little Bistro. Great atmosphere, great service and INCREDIBLE food. Best wedge salad I've ever had. I had the Filet with mushroom sauce which was exceptional, tender and seasoned to perfection. The mushroom risotto was AMAZING! I also sampled the Blackened fillet with pepper corn sauce and the ribeye with mushroom wine sauce. Hands down the best food and service in Simi Valley and their prices are very reasonable. Beto's is located on Sycamore...You will love it!!“
“First time here, the people are nice food was delicious. Second time, the gentleman taking my order was super nice, i would highly reccomened for nice, friendly service with delicious food! My boyfriend loves the wild west burger, i enjoy the rock and roll burger doubled.Update: March 2024Food is still so delicious! Staff was super friendly and the place felt really clean. Spent under $20 for a dinner for two, plan on going back sooner than later.“
“Vegetarian options: Some vegetarian options like the non-meat burger, lots of salads, wraps, and breakfast fare. However, not much on the menu is fully vegan as there's dairy in most things.Parking: Lots of parking in the lot attached to the shopping center, with handicap parking right across from the diner (though be careful getting across to the entrance if you park in that area, as you have to cross one of the driveways into the lot which feeds directly from the busy main street). For a little more safety, it's best to park right beside the diner with an unobstructed walk to the building.Kid-friendliness: Welcoming family atmosphere, and the menu has a lot of kid-friendly options.Wheelchair accessibility: Entryway is a little narrow, but freestanding tables in addition to the booths make it easier for those in wheelchairs to be comfortable. The diner itself is accessible from the parking lot by a low curbside, and single-person bathrooms are large enough to accommodate a wheelchair.“
“Fantastic food with a wide variety of drinks and dishes available. Excellent service, cheerful, fast, insightful regarding the menu. Menu. Eclectic inside, with a clear sense of humor on the part of the decorators and or owners.Parking: If you approach on Cochran, go up the alleyway adjacent to the buildings on the west side. That takes you "up a floor", to a large free parking lot. The entrance is off this parking lot.“
“Ordered 2 breakfast burritos to go.Was told the food would be ready in 25 minutes, arrived a little early, and food was waiting for me.Service was great, cashier added salsa and utensils without me having to ask.Burrito was hot (temperature), delicious, and hefty. The ingredients were a bit segregated in each bite. For example, one bite was all potatoes, and one bite was all egg, cheese, or sausage. I ended up cutting mine up and eating it like a Burrito bowl instead. Maybe mixing the ingredients in a bowl before rolling the Burrito would resolve this. I'm glad they gave the salsa, it was much needed.Atmosphere is a basic cafe environment. Not a large restaurant, but they were willing to set up additional tables outside to accommodate people who were waiting.“
“We've been here a few times and havent been disappointed. It gives a cozy classic diner feel and helpful staff. The corned beef Reuben is my favorite. Thinly sliced, tender and not fatty at all. If you want an eggs n things vibe without the stomach ache then definitely come here. Perfect hidden gem.“
“I've been going here on and off since they opened. At first it seemed hit or miss, but in the past year or so, the food has really improved from "standard sports bar food" to my favorite versions of some items. They have amazing onion rings and potato skins. I usually get their grilled cheese (not as good as The Hat, but still) or their bleu cheese burger. That, paired with their reasonably priced variety of beers and friendly service, makes for a positive dining experience. It's worth noting that we've dined with groups of 8 and we were seated quickly and had no decrease in service or food quality. The Dugout has definitely become a staple in our rotation.“
“Love this place! They have such unique breakfast sandwiches. I ordered the Avocado Morning Sandwich with an orange juice and they were both delicious. I especially loved the bun of the sandwich. The service is also quick for how busy they get.“
“It's a good little dive bar. But that's it. Nothing more nothing less. Parking is crazy tight. They have bands and karaoke sometimes. Breakfast on Saturday/Sunday. Nothing special to write home about but it's a cozy little dive bar everybody knows everyone.Dietary restrictions: If you're a vegetarian or vegan although they have salads this is probably not a good option.Kid-friendliness: Not really kid friendly, they do come in sometimes with mom and dad but not at night.“
“The food here was great. I met with some friends for brunch on the patio. My friends brought their Samoyed, so the restaurant is dog friendly, which was nice. I had the Crab Cake Eggs Benedict with the Country Potatoes and everything was delicious! This restaurant had great service and a nice atmosphere.“
“Warm Southwest Chicken Sandwich RAWKS! Yummy every single time, chicken, corn, black beans & comes with a small side salad with yummy dressing is wonderful.Vegetarian options: They have 4 different vegetarian sammys to choose from plus salads galore.Kid-friendliness: Fine for kids. They have a pretty big out of the ordinary kids menu“
“Very low expectations as cafes in museums are never great, but wow!! We got a slice of pepperoni pizza, pulled pork sandwich, and fries. Its cafeteria style, but It was all as good as a sitdown restaurant. The pizza was the real winner for me. Don't be fooled by it being under a heating lamp. Super cheesy and something about the dough was magical - crisp on the edges and super fluffy and chewy on the inside. Definitely better than most places that sell single slices. Honestly if I were ever in the area, I'd go just for the cafe. And luckily, you don't need a ticket to the library to go!“
“Great hotel bar! Nice sports bar/ live music atmosphere. They seem to be doing live music a heck of a lot more lately. 25% off appetizers during happy hour, I quite enjoy the potstickers and the chicken tenders myself. Really good '90s music videos on the house TVs. If Joel is working, he'll take excellent care of you! Good people, excellent beer selection, very reasonably priced. Viva la Arena!“
“This place is ideal for a delightful date night. Their food happy hour offers a delectable selection—we enjoyed oysters, grilled artichoke, and garlic fries as appetizers, all quite tasty. While my husband wasn't impressed with the Jambalaya, the overall experience was wonderful. The patio, equipped with heaters and a charming fireplace, provides a cozy ambiance overlooking Simi Valley. Highly recommend this restaurant, even if you don't indulge in alcohol.“
“The crab here is excellent; highly recommend both the crab cakes and crab legs if they have them on special. Our other must have is the prime rib beef dip sandwich. It is consistently the best around. We also liked the butter cake for dessert.“
“I was here for a private event which the owners were kind enough to open for a friends private birthday party. We got to enjoy their very interesting mix of different foods and they were all amazingly good. I don't throw out the 5's too often but the ribs and lamb lollipops were a big surprise and tasty our group devoured them. The sushi and rolls were fresh and very good and the mexican shrimp tacos were very good Overall great friendly owners who appear to be like family in the neighborhood.“
“I've visited this location a couple of times, and it has always had a very at-home feel to it. The food looked and tasted equally amazing, and my only regret was not taking a picture before I had already polished off the eggs, fruit, and half of my french toast. The staff is so relaxed and kind and incredibly attentive that it really made the whole experience worth mentioning and looking up other locations for future travels.“
“We have not gone out to see a movie in quite sometime. This visit was exceptional. The theater ? is clean, the service with the staff taking care of our food orders was great, and the restrooms are maintained well! Definitely deserves ? 5 ?.“
“Oh my goodness, I just discovered one of Simi Valley's most incredible hidden gems! From the moment we walked in, the staff greeted us with welcoming smiles and a friendly demeanor. We had the option to sit indoors or outdoors, and we chose to dine indoors. Let me tell you, the atmosphere was so chill and refreshing, with lush green plants hanging from the ceiling - it was truly a sight to behold. As soon as we were seated, our lovely waitress brought us water and took our orders. We decided to go with the prime rib sliders, which were hands down the best sliders we've ever had, along with some mouth-watering garlic fries, refreshing black cherry vodka, and a crisp green IPA to celebrate St. Patrick's Day. Before we knew it, our drinks and food arrived, and wow, were we blown away! The prime rib was cooked to perfection, and the drinks were served ice cold. I can honestly say that we will be returning to this spot time and time again, and I highly recommend that you do too! Make sure to come by and experience the amazing vibes and drinks for yourself. Can't wait to see you there!“
