“4 stars for the food because it tasted like how el pollo loco is supposed to taste since I've had it maybe 5 years+ ago? 3 stars for the actual place though. It's located in a plaza and the hours on google were wrong. I think google says 10 am but the sign on their door says 11. Went to walk around and came back at 11 with multiple people having come and gone and just waiting for them to open. Opened at roughly 11:10-11:15 Service was fast though. But one bathroom was closed and the other bathroom wouldn't flush“
“I like this place a lot! They have a variety of Mexican-styled sweets and drinks to try. Most are on the sweet side though (fair warning for any salt lovers!) Personally I'm a fan of their chocolate croissants and mini concha's ^^ I also tried their la fresca con crema slice-it was very moist, similar to a tres leche cake (my cat went absolutely feral for it-much to my dismay XD)“
“I’m leaving this review to publicly thank Celia who always has a great attitude and puts care and attention into every pick up order I have (multiple times per week). She’s makes the best meals that aren’t just slopped into the bowl. I really appreciate her professionalism and kindness.“
“A lifetime of eating Mexican food, living in Mexico and speaking Spanish fluently couldn't have prepared me for the culinary whirlwind that I experienced last night at Damian. Accompanying friends who have been long time patrons of Damian served as personal tour guides through the labyrinth of menu selections that culminated in one of the most memorable meals I have ever had as a native Angelino. What makes Damian so remarkable is the layers of flavors that appear in every dish and the surprising combinations of ingredients that while seemingly so disparate, create a fusion of flavors that one wouldn't think possible in one cuisine. The service is impeccable and the environment relaxing, intimate and simply world class.“
“This past weekend, I had the chance to visit Mirate without a reservation. Given it was Coachella weekend, I imagine it's usually tough to get a table here without a wait. Right from the moment we walked in and were directed to the bar area, I felt like something special was about to unfold. The environment was both open and lush, creating a sense of bliss similar to the feeling of being on vacation. The drinks menu was impressive, and I thoroughly enjoyed the La Soñadora, a clarified milk punch, out of the two I tried. We ordered five dishes, and four really stood out. I would definitely order the pork belly tacos, kampachi aguachile, jalapeño cornbread, and the baby gems again. We were too full to try the churros, although we wanted to. Our server was wonderful and played a big part in making our afternoon at Mirate a 5-star experience.“
“How this place isn’t the most talked about restaurant in LA will blow my mind. Incredible. Fantastic. I would eat here everyday if my wallet could afford.Get their Lomo Saltado taco and you will dream about it for the rest of your days. You’ve been warned.“
“Holbox is a must try for anyone who has even the slightest inclination for uni.The food at Holbox really is five stars but their food rating is four stars from me out of [maybe] no fault of their own. This entire market is alcohol-free.I am certain there will be more than a few who agree with me that a great ceviche really isn't that great without booze.“
“My husband is from India, so we have eaten a lot of flavorful foods. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meal here. We ordered the five taco plate and sides of corn, mom‘s beans, the vegetarian beans, potatoes with chorizo, corn, and rice. We also tried the coconut rose milk lime drink, and the cucumber salad . My husband, especially like the jeera chicken and corn. I loved the Carne Asada and goat tacos. The green sauce is fabulous. The fresh house made corn tortillas also really take the tacos to the next level. We really enjoyed our meal here. Kudos to the owners for taking such an interesting fusion risk and executing it well.“
“Corn Man is my go-to spot in LA for satisfying late-night cravings with absolutely delicious corn on the cob. However, the surrounding neighborhood can be a bit sketchy, making it feel unsafe to hang around waiting for your order since there's only one corn man working.Despite encountering a few arguments with random passersby staring at me, the corn here is undeniably tasty and a definite must-try for those late-night munchies.“
“Whenever I am near the S. Pasadena or Eagle Rock stores, I'll always stop in to get a fish taco or two. I also love their seafood (fish, shrimp, scallop) burrito and their seafood salad. Fresh and tasty.Parking: During busy lunch rush I had to park on the street nearby. Free parking everywhere.“
