Parking fees are not advertised. I paid a hotel fee in my booking price, so I have no idea where that went if there's so many more fees. The parking fees amounted to $66- effectively making my reservation $500. I chose Sonesta over the nearby options due to the reservation falling under $500 and that decision was made totally moot by the unexpected fees. In fact, I am certain these fees will be a violation of California Law under Senate Bill 478 as soon as July 1st hits. I would seriously reconsider charging fees that are soon to be banned by legislation.Further, I was made to pay $3.29 for a toothbrush. Again, it is absolutely bewildering what is calculated into the hotel price if a toothbrush isn't. There was no place to refill my water bottle with clean drinking water and I was told the tap or purchasing water was the option. More purchasing what should be included in a hotel stay. And during my stay housekeeping did not once make my bed. In fact, I had to request new coffee packets to use in the room. Abysmal service.

I booked 1 night on 24-Feb-2024, just to go to sleep; we arrived at night.Check-in:Check-in was quick. The hotel:The hotel appears to have been remodeled a few months ago. Looks pretty. Located on the edge of a beautiful road, on the edge of a bay with an entrance to the sea.We could only see another man with a family member at breakfast time and there were no other people.Feeding:I hired it through Expedia and they offer breakfast and for US$24 they only gave us a coffee or a small juice plus 1 bread to spread with butter or cream cheese. For this value, two people eat well and have a complete breakfast in many places. The area clerk was rude and had a heavy tone when assisting me.Security:In the parking lot there was a vehicle with a broken glass, right under our room, which we didn't know if that was where it was attacked, and a pillow on the hood of the vehicle that was next to it, since that's how they were when we arrived at night. On several sides they have signs indicating that the cameras are not recording 24x7... which seems to be done to avoid responsibilities.Room cleaning:A cockroach appeared on the main piece of furniture in the room. Disgusting. Apparently, proper maintenance is needed in terms of fumigation.

I could never say enough wonderful things about this property and it's staff. Every time I come to town and I choose to stay with them which is most of the time they accommodate me with smiles and wonderful service. The rooms are clean and very comfortable. One of the coolest things about this hotel is it's on the bay trail. It's a dog friendly hotel, so you can take your dog for a stroll. This hotel is priced cheaper than that. A lot in the area and not for any lack Of comfort or cleanliness or convenience. The staff is wonderful ambrose the manager always makes sure that I feel At home when I arrive. Keith and Geo are wonderful with my dog. I would recommend this hotel to anybody staying in the San Francisco area.Rooms: The rooms are recently renovated The beds are so comfortable. I don't even want to get out of them somedays.Nearby activities: The bay trail is beautifulSafety: As long as you keep your car locked and free of valuables, you should be fine anywhere in the Bay area. I don't suggest leaving things in your car although I have never had a problem at this hotelWalkability: You are right along The bay trail

Our four-night stay at the Sonesta Select San Francisco Airport Hotel was an overall pleasant experience, thanks to its convenient location, helpful reception staff, and early check-in option. While the hotel had many strengths, there was a minor issue with the staff at breakfast. One of the standout features of our stay was the hotel's location, which was extremely convenient, especially given its proximity to the airport. This made it an ideal choice for travelers looking for easy access to flights. Additionally, the reception staff were kind and accommodating. They went above and beyond to assist us, including allowing us to check in early after a long flight. This thoughtful gesture greatly contributed to our comfort and rest. However, the only minor concern we had during our stay was related to the staff at breakfast. The individual responsible for the breakfast area could have been more welcoming and friendly. Throughout our four breakfasts, they never seemed to smile or provide a warm greeting. While it didn't significantly impact our stay, a more inviting attitude would have made the dining experience more pleasant. In conclusion, the Sonesta Select San Francisco Airport Hotel offered a convenient location and helpful reception staff, making it a suitable choice for travelers. The early check-in option was greatly appreciated. While the breakfast experience could have been improved with a friendlier staff member, it did not overshadow the positive aspects of our stay.

They’re remodeling so a lot of the rooms are brand new and fresh. One of the elevators was down during my stay which made the walk to and from the hotel room long especially while carrying a really drunk friend. The cameras are not monitored at night and there have been car break ins in their parking lot. Coffee is not free in the lobby so you should just walk the 5 minutes to Starbucks.Safety: Cameras are not monitoredWalkability: Not much nearby to eat or drink. There’s one restaurant and one Starbucks within walking distance.Food & drinks: We ate at brothers cafe nearby and it was delicious.

I didn’t notice the recent negative reviews until after I was in the 24 hour/no refund timeframe and I started to wonder if I had made a mistake… I just checked in and it’s really nice! The hotel renovations are close to completion and all of the rooms are newly renovated - they are brand new, very clean and comfortable. The common areas like the gym are still being renovated but look close to being finished, and the lobby is good as well. While the gym is closed in the building you can use the one in Sonesta Suites next door. I really would not hesitate to book this hotel especially if you’re traveling for work with one of the companies within walking distance. The negative reviews must have reflected how things were a couple of months ago but the renovations have changed the experience for the better.Walkability: Easily walkable to the companies in Oyster Point

The bed was comfy and the location by the water was nice. Renovations going on during the hotel DIDNT even have any weight in this review. This issue was the dog( possible cat) hair all across the floor tracking on our socks. I have nothing against pets but IT IS THE PRINCIPLE. I am senstive to cats & dogs dander & even if I wasn't this would still be a problem. The 2 stars comes from the fact that I simply asked for them to come vaccuum & nothing else. We had a short stay and I wasn't trying to make it a big deal. We gave them a time fram we would be out ao they can come and vaccuum & I was told the would service the entire room, not just vaccuum. They did neither. During check out, I asked them at the front desk about the vaccuuming & they acknowledged they let housekeeping know. Either way I have photos of the floor when we came back to our hotel after being out and it was exactly the same as when we left it. We spend good money on hotels in this economy, I think it's safe to say most of us appreciate a clean room at the least. At least I do. That's all.Rooms: Could be cleaned better
Two Sonesta Hotels right next door to one another, sharing large parking lots. The other is called "ES" whatever that means. Is an older building, but rooms nice, spacious, clean. Those facing East get a nice view of the tranquil Bay. But no microwave nor mini-fridge.Oyster Point is north of SFO, on the waterfront, with a nice park. Little, if any, traffic.Get a room facing the bay, as else you will hear the frequent CalTrain & Union Pacific rail traffic.Dirty not so little "Secret." I was not informed of this beforehand. Lobby is being extensively remodelled, so main entrance is closed, access is via side entrances. Parking lot is filled with containers & dumpsters. My estimate is that this will take several more months.Unlike the "ES" No restaurant nor lounge available. Breakfast nor any kind of beverages are NOT included, nor offered. Neither is coffee nor ice water, unlike other hotel chains, even budget ones. Coffee & bottled or canned soft drinks available for sale.Oddly enough, some airline crews stay here. Even during remodeling phaseIf seeking a full-service hotel in the area, you will pass in front of the AC Hotel, on your way to/from the Sonesta properties.I will give them one star for concealing the fact that it is undergoing extensive remodelling, and that there are no lounges nor restaurants available.

The service is really bad. Now the hotel is being renovated and there is dust everywhere. There is no way to store suitcases. The most important thing is that the attitude of the waiters makes people feel very uncomfortable. When guests ask for basic needs, they have an indifferent attitude. The hotel Go bankrupt

Recommended staying at another hotel close byStayed at Sonesta a few months ago and due to the shower not working management would not discount room , but offered $30-40 off next stay , but was not able to get through to management. And no help calling front desk that said to book online for discount so I did . When I got to the hotel. My reservation was not on file . When showing them the confirmation they said it’s the hotel next door with the same name with select at the end not ES at the end of the nameHas a Picture of a pool in google. No pool here and no breakfast like the sonasta ES. Even coffee and tea that most hotels give away , are only available for a fee.The smell from new carpet have a strong chemical smell.I’m still looking but don’t see a number to contact the company.
