Great place and me and my bf ordered some food.He got steak and eggs whereas I got pancakes with butter and maple syrup! His steak was as he wanted plus it's tender with soft runny eggs.Mine were fluffy but had a hint of nutmeg.Overall, the experience was more akin to a homely countryside diner than one in the city.Dietary restrictions: You can ask about such restrictions but don't exaggerate what you have as nobody has time to listen to you complain.Make it to the point and don't drone on...Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly but don't push it and bring 7 kids to a crowded restaurant!Wheelchair accessibility: It's accessable and staff will help you out if you get stuck in the door.

Wow wow wow, this place surprised me got the special breakfast with hamburger patty for the extra protein! It was amazing the homefries were super good and crispy. 10/10 recommend it's a bit tucked away but worth the trip out!!!

Love this place! I've been coming here for years. Recently changed ownership. The new owner has kept the menu the same and great tasting food. The quality and quantity are still terrific. Jo Ann continues to be the best breakfast spot in town.

This place used to be so good. It had been a long time since I’ve been here, but there is no longer a line. The restaurant smelled heavily of cleaning solution when we walked in. The coffee was terrible, the Benedict was served on sliced bread and my eggs were over cooked. My son had French toast which was mediocre at best. Everything is between $15-20 a plate and the food is terrible. We won’t be back

This is a spot for old school South San Francisco regulars as this place has been around since the '80s. A lot of their breakfast dishes have Mexican flair to them, but you can always get standard breakfast staples also.Parking: It all depends on the time of day as some of the other businesses around it have not opened. So I would say morning is best. Once all the restaurants are open especially in the afternoon and evening, parking can be difficult.

Unfortunately the service and food quality have steadily gone down while prices have gone up. Here's an example:Scene: me, calling Jo Ann's:[Phone ringing]Jo Ann's employee: "Hello?"Me, wondering if I dialed the wrong number: "Uhh...hi. Is this Jo Ann's?"Employee: "Yes"Me: "OK. I'd like to place an order..." [Gives order]Employee: "OK"Me: "Umm, ok. So how long? 15 minutes?"Employee: "Yes"Me: "Ok, thanks. Bye".[I then pick up food and take it home, only to discover one of the two items is wrong but now it's too late and too far to go back. Also, what they gave us isn't very good...a very sad salad].At the very least, y'all need to give your employees a basic script to use when answering the phone. I'll even give you one:"Hello, thanks for calling Jo Ann's Cafe"[After taking order] "OK, so that's [read order back to customer to confirm it's right]."Ok, that will take about 15 minutes" [or however long is needed]. We'll see you then. Thank you!"*It's not that hard. Hopefully you all figure it out before it's too late, and you can make a comeback.*

I used to go to Joanne's in the 90's. It was unique, very fluffy pancakes served with a side of fresh fruit. It was known for the delicious muffins. Post pandemic, it is different now. No more muffins, no more side of fruit. I did appreciate the cappuccino, which was nicely prepared.

ok guys, this is a MUST GO TO breakfast spot.... its not fancy like some of the places I post about. But this is by far the best breakfast I've eaten in years.--***--Nov 13, 2023They have made some changes, not really good, from a long-time regulars perspective. But the food was good (less of it, but still good). The menu is less than half of what it used to be, most of the burgers are gone. You are now expected to order and pay before finding a table, the place was empty today, but in a busy rush, I don't really want my food getting cold while I find a table to sit at.And, of course, prices on each dish have been increased pretty dramatically.
