I work in downtown South San Francisco. I have tried every Mexican restaurant in this area. Los Cuates is the best Mexican restaurant in this area. Their sauces are fantastic. My favorite dish is the enchiladas which comes smothered and cheese with lots of salsa, meat, beans, and rice.

The burrito was ok not even good not worth a penny. To add insult to injury, the lady cashiers sneakily charged me 25% sale tax for a $10.75. She thought I was stupid and didn't know it. I saw her hit the register twice for the tax. Seeing they have no business I felt sorry for the business and not confronting her. If you have to eat here make SURE they don't rip you off

I passed by Los Cuates Taqueria a few times now going to neighboring restaurants and gave them a try on a recent Sunday afternoon. The interior is spacious with a lot of tables and a mini salsa bar. At $14.xx the steak nachos weren't cheap so was expecting them to be awesome. But they fell short, not sure what the red stuff in them was but it made the nachos weird. The service at the counter was really nice. Might be back to try their burritos but not in a hurry to go back. Street parking

The food was okay. The prices are pretty high for what it is. Disappointed to see the microwave on the counter. If it's fresh, you don't need a microwave. Took too long for a burrito order. Probably won't go back.

Service is slow DONT come here. Always really busy especially during lunch hour. Also don't bother calling ahead they lose and never start YOUR ORDER. (Has happened more then once) Dos veces YA!! ME DECEPCIONARON!!!! Olvidaron mi orden... 45 minutos de espera hasta que les pregunté si habían olvidado mi orden?? El cocinero contestó YO NO TENGO ESA ORDEN!!! Mi familia y yo estábamos sin comer nada y ya era la 1:00pm. No hubo ni una disculpa departe del restaurante les pedí mi dinero y salimos sin comer.

Came in with my whole family paid then sat down only to be sitting for 45 min after which I noticed everyone else whole came after was already eating. I got up to ask if we were forgotten, and we were. The manager then went on to give me a refund with no compensation or reassurance food will be out soon. TERRIBLE SERVICE HAS HAPPENED MORE THEN ONCE WITH PHONE ORDERS. DO NOT COME HERE
