I've been going to this place for some time. I just wanted to express my thoughts on the bbq. 99% of the time it's outstanding. the tri tip is rare but I like it this way. By the time you get home it has cooled down. so I reheat it. it comes out perfect. had it been cook perfect it would be over done to my liking after it's reheated. I don't care what business you go to not everything is perfect all the time. if you had a bad experience then maybe it was not the perfect day. there has been only one time in my experience it wasn't perfect. I can except that one time in all the years I've gone there. for the people who gave a bad review. give them another chance. your not perfect and to bash a place from one experience is not fair. why would someone recommend this place to you if it wasn't any good. think about that. thank you.

I love the bbq here great ribs, great chicken. My favorite thing and most unique thing here in my opinion is the jalapeño poppers, jalapeños stuffed with cream cheese and wrapped in a slice of bacon. Amazing. I save the rib bones and make soup with them and i would recommend.

I would give this place 6 or 7 stars if there were extra stars to do this. I have lived in the valley since 2003 and am happy to report to all you yelpers out there looking for a good quality, home style and reasonably priced, BBQ that's delicious to the bone -- you've found it! Supporting family owned businesses is something that I have learned over the years of living here. Having lived in SF bay area, where there's so many choices has made me appreciate the smaller things in life and having pride with what Stockton and the central valley has to offer. If you are new to this place, I recommend trying their combination platter that comes with an array of bbq'd items: slices of Tri-tip, pork ribs, chicken, jalapeno wrapped in bacon popper (JBP) and a hot link. I order a side of Spanish rice and another order of the JPB of like 10 pieces. Each JPB cost a minimal $1.25. BBQ times are usually from 11-4 p.m. Check the schedule for accuracy. For those who have written bad reviews on this place -- must be really quite random because through the 18 years that I've lived in the area, I still go to this place even though I am no longer in Stockton. There are no places in the Mountain House-Tracy/Livermore area like this! Thank you Carniceria La Sierra for your wonderful service to our community! Keep up the great work!
