They’re closed? This place isn’t open, there aren’t any tables or chairs inside either

I ordered cheese burger and it tasted like home grilling… yummy. Fries were good. My wife ordered the tri-tip sandwich and potato salad. The meat on the tri-tip had great flavor and the potato salad was wonderful. I will come back here again… nice and friendly people. They have the most adorable small dog.

I'm very confused as to how this place is still in business? I called at 2pm for a to-go order, and arrived at 2:30 to see that the place appeared closed. I called, the owner let me inside, and it's a big, cluttered mess. I sat for another 35 minutes. I had ordered 4 hot dogs, 2 tamales, and 4 smoothies...and it took over an hour. The owner did everything himself, and I couldn't imagine how he'd operate with multiple customers at once. When it came time to pay, he had to restart his register and reput the order in. When I finally got home (I live 5 min away), the food was pretty cold and the smoothies (which are made from sugar syrups, not fruit) were half melted. I was so excited for a spot with vegan options, and I was very underwhelmed. The owner was nice, but I really don't understand how he's still there. So weird.

I really liked the ambiance it was peaceful and quiet. The smoothie i had was also pretty good, green praying mantis I think was the name.

Don't be fooled - Cobra Chai is open and is great! Tonight was our second visit and the vegan chili in Charley's homemade bread bowl was delicious and called for on this chilly night. Our first visit, last week, was due to a coffee crave. We were walking around the Miracle Mile and I wanted coffee. We strolled to Cobra Chai's to see if they were even open and what did they have. We left with new friends, 2 vegan sausage hot dogs, and a chai. Not only was their staff vegan-aware but they were friendly and open to expanding their vegan options. We are now loyal customers and we hope friends. PS: Charley is a vet and dojo owner. If you're looking for martial arts classes for you or your family, check him out. We are!
