We got a take out dinner the other day The food is always good here but I somehow go the impression that the recipes had changes a little and maybe there were more vegetables and less meat than thereused to be. This place is always busy but the orders arrive quickly I still recommend Dave Wong’s but I’m sure it could be better

This restaurant has been a Stockton landmark for years. They have wonderful food with fair prices. Service is perfect-you feel taken care of without being hovered over. Everything is delicious. They have a great bar if you just want a cocktail and they have the best take-out in town. Call ahead and simply walk in to pick it up or stand in line when you order there. Their wok charred beans are a favorite of ours as is the Mongolian beef. There is no where else to go to if you have a taste for Chinese food.

2nd time here, took my mom this time, had to give it a second chance, the food is tasty, I like it, my mom didn't , it was to heavy on the sodium for her made her ankles and face swell. My buddy and I are on a mission to find the best Chinese food in the valley, this place deff has some good options, love the ambiance, it's nice and calm, family style meals, the plates are small but perfect when it's 2 people, when it 3 or more , you'll tend to wanna order more just to make it enough. Moderate prices I guess , inflation. Deff will come back one more time to try other things, not pictures was the sizzling rice soup, it was good, I feel it needed something more to add a bit more flavor. Overall 6.5/10 rating, may change the rating based on my next dinner or lunch here.

Been going here for a very long time, but it is doing poorly under the new owners. The good - Garlic fried chicken (crispy and garlicy) if you get it hot; the chow mein (possibly the best in town. So many places use the thicker, chewier noodle, but we think this softer version is superior); Pot stickers (nice thin skin); chicken salad, and szechuan chicken. The bad - sweet and sour pork (they use some industrial sweet sauce, which is far more sweet than sour...almost no sour; plus its gloopy; some of the worst I've had); Walnut shrimp (mediocre at best, insipid sauce); BBQ pork (awful. Dry, like overcooked chicken breast. They need a different supplier, because it needs a little fat and moisture); Black pepper jumbo prawns (meh, insipid). I'll still go OCCASIONALLY for the FEW things they do well, but I'll be exploring other options. I think I could get many dishes better at Panda Express, which is kinda shocking.
This place is going down hill since new ownership, they are ruining the Dave Wong Dynasty. I ordered a simple broccoli and beef, it was so salty and tasted like fish. The sad thing is I love to eat here for lunch and order food to go for my family. Since Covid-19 and change in ownership, things just aren't the same here anymore. Does anyone know of any good Chinese Restaurants?

Had high hopes for Dave wong havent had it in a really long time, first i was told wait is 30 min which is okay as expected bc it was mothers day, but we waited over an hour and once we were seated our server was rude and seemed like he didn't even wanna be there himself. after we placed our order we waited another 45-55mins our server didnt come check on us or even ask if we needed more drinks, once we got our food he left it on the table and practically ran away from us didnt get the chance to ask for anther drink/ any condiments for our meal. Up until the end when we were just about ready to go our server finally asked if we needed anything or if everything was ok. It was really upsetting. do not recommend

I don't know what is going on in this place? Services is terrible. Waits and servants have no manners and rude. Greeting do not exist. May I help you? has been substitute by what do you want? Fry rice and white rice get confuse. I asked for white rice I was served fry rice. If you request to talk to a manager, no one show up and the rudeness continues.

The server was rude. And the food tastes like cardboard. The server threw the plate of food at me and it almost fell off the table. When I asked for hot sauce he rolled his eyes and came back to throw it on the table.
