Delicious and different kind of sushi flavors! Would definitely recommend trying this place out.

This one's a toughie... I've always liked door dashing from here because it's affordable and the rolls are okay. Not great, the choices aren't always my favorite flavor profiles. However eating here is just... uncomfortable. It's just a room with tables and chairs, that's always empty. 9/10 times you'll be the only person there, sitting right in front of a desk where one person sits and watches you and another stands there staring waiting to wait on you. Which it's always nice their being attentive and trying to do their jobs well but it's hard to feel comfortable when their listening in on private conversation.

Food was pretty mid, enjoyable but I've had better honestly. Menu should specify if a roll is deep fried or not as the descriptions sometimes say deep fried but only a part of the roll is deepfried or one of the ingredients like the shrimp. Staff was very on point however and very kind. Always topped up on water and checked if we needed anything.

This sushi place is very hit or miss, every time ive ordered to go its been a miss but the one time i dined in, it was actually quite pleasant. For their price however i would give them only 2 stars. Their to go orders are always very small even tho they cost the same and you get almost double when eating inside. I recommend jimmies over this place. For sure.

Excellent and superb menu and the sushi is award winning! I always want this food all the time. An absolute favorite of mine and I always suggest to others. If you like sushi, hands down this is the number 1 choice.

I was a bit disappointed with the price (doubled) of the new Bento box as well as its size. ( They said it's the only size they serve) Their menu pic still shows the old size which includes edamame and larger portions. It's unfortunately par for the course of the economy now.

The sushi was not great as they fell apart and rice was bad and the wait time for food is very long. Overprice and the they make you pay a force tip of about 15%. Not coming back and do not recommend!

Was a bit concerned as we walked in as we were the only customers on a Saturday but to our surprise we had a great sushi experience close to home! All the fish tasted fresh. They also had butter fish aka white tuna (not many places has this usually and tend to sub this with Albacore). Rolls are priced fairly between $15~$20 which is about the ongoing price. What was over the top is each dish is beautifully presented. You do not get this kind of attention to detail at any busier establishments. Our server was on point as well, she went the extra mile and help us narrow down the best rolls for our taste buds. Sadly we let the bad reviews prevented us from eating here earlier. Rest assured. We will be back.

Been going here for over 15 years. Best place for sushi in Stockton and the surrounding areas. Friendliest servers too. A bit on the pricier side, but you won't be disappointed. Personal favorite the Triple S, Chirashi, and the soft shelled crab.
Medium sized establishment. Friendly staff. I ordered the chicken katsu. I’m really glad they put the sauce on the side. Some places they either put too much or too little sauce on it. The crust was perfect and not overcooked. Just right amount of crunch. The salad was ok. Nothing special. I would say this place is worth checking out. It’s reasonably priced and the food is good.
Food was decent service was OK but they charge me a service fee because there was five of us. One of the persons with us was a seven-year-old and did not even order food when I asked, where is that posted she said it's not we automatically do that and she even added her own tip. I told her I did not agree with it. She said it's automatically in the system. I can't take it off then when I paid it showed on the receipt, they were asking for a tip again.

The food is suck, the environment is dirty too. You cannot believe the table and chair are sticky. The owner is not the japanese, I believe. The price is also pretty high too, not worth it. This is not the Japanese food.

Been coming to Matsuyama for years. Consistently good and friendly staff. Always ordered salmon shioyaki, tonkazu, and sashimi. A nice, quiet place to enjoy good, comforting Japanese food or order takeout to enjoy at home.

If someone orders two different rolls, put them in two separate containers or at least ask if that works for the customer. I don’t particularly want to eat off the same plate as my co worker. I guess it’s also a good thing the other person doesn’t have a peanut allergy smh
