I loved my visit to Tio Pepes II ..... I remember them when they were near Longs Drug store... and after they moved I come and visit as often as I can.Excellent Beef Enchiladas... and the Cheese Enchilada is awesome as well. Prices vary... but seem in line with other local establishments.As far as the mood and vibe inside goes, loved the pictures on the wall. Also - great service!

Terrible.Ordered pozole but had tripe in it and loaded with hominy and 4 cubes of pork and smelled and tasted like tripe.Not good at all.

Food was excellent. Loved the beef enchiladas. I thought it would be ground beef or shredded, but instead it was chunks of very tender beef in a very flavorful red sauce. Along with the plate was Spanish rice and refried beans, and they were oh so good too. I at first thought the food was cold as when my plate was put down, the plate was not hot, as most restaurants place the plates under a broiler to heat the food and melt the cheese. The food delivered was very hot, and I will definitely be going back here when in the area again
I ordered chicken taco dinners for my kids my husband had a chili colorado quesadilla which is really good and I had a beef enchilada and a beef tostada...The food was deliciousMy only complaint would be that you have to buy your chips separately did you give you a little cups of salsa with your meal though and your tortillas as well...Kid-friendliness: a kid's menu ..Wheelchair accessibility: There's plenty of space between the tables.Also large door ways.
Tio Pepe’s is a classic Stockton establishment. Located in downtown, we prefer to go on Sundays when parking is free and convenient. If you go right at 11am, the service is great and the wait time is nonexistent. The restaurant is clean, well lit, and has some gorgeous hanging plants inside. You can tell there is a pride of ownership! The chips and salsa are pretty good… if you like more of a kick, make sure to ask for their super spicy salsa. I find the regular salsa to be a little bland for my taste. Their gravy and cheese? On point! I always order the Pork Soup, which is literally pork, broth and rice— but with that spicy salsa added in? Magical. My husband gets a Beef Taco and a couple of Cheese Enchiladas and he says it is always good. Their pricing is extremely fair. They have a couple of rooms for Private Parties. Plus, the balloon arch in the front is fun… I’m sure you could hire that company to decorate the space for you! Overall, if you’re looking for a classic Stockton dining experience, then make sure to check out Tio Pepe’s.Parking: Metered parking during the week. Or, a very small free lot. On Sundays, parking is free downtown.
