I love ice cream. And I am so lucky that Sun Valley is home too so many great ice cream establishments. This place was good, definitely worth the drive to Dogpatch, but does not rank as highly as some of the other places (Bi-Rite, Humphry Slocombe, and Salt & Straw).
I was making a quick stop around the Sun Valley area, & just as I was about to leave, I read a sign that said "Frosty's Wholesale Ice Cream--Open to the public". I decided to give it a go, & as soon as I walked in, I was amazed by their limitless options of sweets! Aside from the various types of ice cream--both dairy & fruit-based--there were endless choices of candies, chips, toppings, & drinks as well. Ice cream prices are great and they sell dry ice as well. It lasted me all day at a party that was 100°+ inside a cooler. They have so many great selections. Take cash and a cooler for your ice cream. We had a Mexican fiesta theme and the shop also sells various candies and chips. Way better than driving all the way downtown.
