“Every time I come to this place and every time I forget to write a review). The restaurant is very clean, the staff is kind and courteous, the portions are large, the food is quite tasty, the price category is above average. I am attaching the menu and photos of the dishes.“
“This sushi restaurant is the BEST! The food is so good and the service is perfect. Me and my family order takeaway every week and it never disappoints. I highly recommend Bay Sushi for all the sushi lovers (they have MANY options for those who don't eat sushi) on Thursdays and Friday the place is pretty packed but somehow they always have one table left, and if not you wait for only 5-10 minutes, but its 100% worth it!! We love this restaurant and hope you will too!“
“Enjoyed this Japanese Izakaya very much. Super fresh delicious seafood, authentic flavors, friendly service. A great place to hang out with friends. Their rice bowls are top-notch delicious. The sashimi set is great value for money with massive pieces of fresh fish. We also ordered a okonomiyaki sampler platter with all 4 flavors to share which was great.“
“A solid sushi restaurant. My experience here wasn't as exceptional as some of the other reviewers, but there was nothing wrong with it, and I'd go back (although I'd likely try a different sushi place in the area first.)Some sushi places leave you going "wow". This one didn't. But the sushi was definitely high quality, and made for a good meal.“
“Fresh tasty sushi and good service. We came on a very busy rainy night and the beautiful more traditional Japanese style interior was such a relief from the weather! Parking is between the gas station and the building. My new go to place for local sushi!“
“They do take-aways only - and have an extensive menu that makes it hard to decide. With the constant cloudy, windy & intermittent drizzle/rain past two days, decided a Yosenabe would warm me up ?.Chockfull of prawns, clams, mussels, scallops & oyster. Loads of tofu, brocolli, carrot strips, white cabbage & glass noodle - with broth to the brim & hot. Portion enough for two meals or to share!Came with a small container of white rice & a bowl of fresh salad - was not expecting this as it was not in the menu description. ?“
“Really enjoyed the dinning experience here, the environment is quiet, the food is great, and I had quite a pleasant chat with the owner Steve. The quality of the food is top notch, especially the uni which is the best kind on the Japanese market. And Steve's special sauces, fresh veggies and real wasabi really brought out an unique and surprising taste to the fish, which could be a bit bland just by itself. The caviar is great on its own, but together with uni, it really gives you that WOW factor. Also the wagyu is just amazing, it really just melts in your mouth! And the most important thing, you have to try the mochi there, the freshness and sweetness really help you wake right up after the protein feast earlier lol.The owner really knows his stuff, from food to Bay Area life, he knows it all after having the restaurant here for almost 30 years. If you want, you can have conversations with him the whole time, it never gets boring.Overall 10/10 place, would recommend to anyone wanting something new from just the usual soy sauce and 'fake' wasabi Japanese restaurants.“
“You can easily book a table online or just give the restaurant a call. Our group of four made a seamless entrance on time thanks to the reservation. They've got a diverse menu with nearly everything covered. The'Unagi Omelette 鰻魚玉子燒,' 'Yamaimo Sengiri 山藥紫蘇', and the 'Mentaiko Pasta 明太子麵' are my favorite. The beef tongue and clam soup were also delicious. If you're into Japanese food with a local casual dining feel, this place comes highly recommended! Plus, they have private booths for a more intimate family or friend gathering.“
