“We hadn't dined at the Old Range in years, but we decided to celebrate a special birthday here this past weekend - and we really enjoyed it. It was quiet the night we went, and the staff gave us a nice table. Great lake views. The restaurant has been updated but it hasn't lost charm - and actually the rear room is just as old timey as we recall. The food was very good and is actually less expensive than it seems from the menu, because the meals are HUGE and many people will want to share them. My son, an 18 year old athlete, could only eat about half his gnocchi. My husband and I shared a Cowboy prime rib and wished we'd ordered the Cowgirl - we had to bring about half home! The sides are all designed to be shared and we couldn't finish those either. We brought a bottle of wine that we like and didn't mind the $30 corkage fee. It was a fun, relaxing evening and we will be back.”
“Higher-end place where we had our first breakfast in Tahoe after a monster travel day. Great atmosphere, and food was fantastic. A little pricey, but we thought it was worth it.”
“What a fantastic hidden little gem! Really cozy organic modern interior. Our server, Bre, was excellent. And the food was outstanding! It's the next day and I can't stop thinking about it! I might even go back tonight! ?”
“Came here on a weeknight during a trip to Tahoe. We were seated in the bar area at a high top that still offered a nice view of the beautiful lake. We opted for the tasting menu. The first course was a kanpachi, which was very light and flavorful. Next was a delightful beet salad. I enjoyed the scallop and lamb dishes very much. I thought the service was underwhelming, as they asked for us to hold on to our silverware between courses, which I find less than ideal for an upscale restaurant, particularly for a tasting menu. It was also hard to summon our waiter, as he was quite elusive. Their house breads were fantastic, though, and I really enjoyed their house made olive oil and lavender infused butter. The triple chocolate dessert that is part of the tasting menu is quite small but very rich. My dining partner opted for the panna cotta instead, which I think was stronger dessert. Overall, we enjoyed our experience here due to the quality and execution of the dishes and beautiful ambiance.”
“We always enjoy getting Mountain Slice whether it's for the pizza, the ice cream, or both! Make sure to call early in the day to place an order for dinner as they get very busy and sell out. Today we ordered the tie dye pizza. I am allergic to tomatoes, so I ordered it without the vodka sauce and extra pesto. Had a little miscommunication on my end about the sauce, so when we picked it up it had a tomato sauce base. We explained what we had thought we ordered and the two guys working quickly made a fresh pie. Very thankful that they were so accommodating. The pizza was delicious with pesto as the base sauce! The dough is the star of the show. We've enjoyed both the regular style and the Detroit style pizzas here. Would love if they started doing some pizzas with other base sauces! Love that they are starting to do late nights with more arcade games, late night pizza, and beer. I think that's super fun and will draw in a cool crowd. Great option since nowhere else is open late. Go get the best pizza on the West Shore!”
“Came in on Friday and again on Saturday!!!Food is amazing, loved the Branzino, pizzas spectacular and best of all is service!I’m from SD, but definitely marking this spot as my favorite anytime I’m in Truckee!Fantastic Après Ski!!!”
“The restaurant is excellent in every aspect. The food is amazing, offering a delightful array of flavors and textures. The service is impeccable, with attentive staff making the dining experience truly memorable. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for an exceptional culinary experience.”
“I found this via ratings and it is a fantastic place. The drinks are made extremely well. A great concoction that I actually am going to copy. I had the halibut and it was fantastic. The service was exceptional. I highly recommend Reservations.”
“OMG! The best food in Incline Village. From the bread, wines, soups, sauces, appetizers and main course....DELICIOUS! The menu is extensive and diverse. Excellent wine list. Food and sevice off the charts. Our new favorite place in town.”
“If you are in the North Lake Tahoe area and looking for a legit Third-wave coffee roaster then this is your place. I'm an avid home roaster and always on the lookout for small shops that cater to my tastes when traveling. I was fortunate enough to drop in today while the owner Drew was roasting on his trusty Diedrich just inside the door. It was a priceless experience getting to chat with him about roasting and even get his advice on my struggles to hit the City+ sweet spot with my dry process beans from Sweet Marias ?.Ok, coffee roasting geeking aside – You can't go wrong here if you want to have a solid espresso drink or a carefully prepared pour over with a choice of freshly roasted coffees from different origins. I had a perfect flat white with the house blend and tasty sample of the fruity funky Columbian they were offering pre-brewed. As you'll read in the other reviews the vibe here is chill and the service was great. If you enjoy craft roasted single origin coffee that's not too "dark" (ironically) be sure to stop by this place! Oh, and don't forget to pick up a bag of freshly roasted house beans to bring back to your coffee loving friends back home!”
“Italian shrimp & grits, 10/10 so good!! We also tried the pizza and beers on tap -best food we have had in Tahoe!! (We have been here for 4 days) If you come- it’s a must! White caps pizza will not disappoint!! ????”
“Food was very good and the service was great. The music was a bit of a miss for a French bistro spot (Chili Peppers) but was ok once they turned it down. ~$100/ person with a shared appetizer. Worth a visit.”
“Great comfort food in a campy wood-paneled pub/yachtclub-style setting. Went there for lunch to grab some takeout, ended up waiting over 10 minutes to see much less speak to anyone. The place was busy with plenty of medium and large groups, the staff was overwhelmed to keep up. But once I was able to place my order the service was pretty quick. If I wasn't in a hurry, I would very much haven enjoyed sitting down at a table, there is also a bar.”
“Amazing sandwiches. Wanted something warm so we shared the tuna melt on wheat hoagie and Reuben. Both were excellent. I think I preferred the tuna melt but that's bc I love tuna melts in general. Warning tho, that thing was gigantic. A twofer. Luckily I was starving after skiing. The Coaqua coconut water was also really good.”
“Absolutely fabulous food beautifully presented. They made my friend's birthday dinner truly memorable. She doesn't like fish, so they substituted vegetarian dishes for her two fish courses.”
“Amazing chicken! It would be nice if they were able to expand the seating, but we've had it to go and it still is great even at home. Galbi and K-sauce are our favorites with honey mustard.”
“Nestled in this little strip mall next to the 7-11. It's a great spot away from downtown with parking, for a quick, easy and delicious coffee break/sweet treat. I assumed all the treats here were gluten free, but alas, maybe not? Regardless, I believe that most are and while I'm not gluten free, they were delicious. Pastries ranged from croissants, to muffins, to cinnamon rolls and more. I went with the chocolate ganache croissant and the chocolate banana muffin. My kids loved both. A bit more of a 'spongey' texture, but still so buttery and flakey. I assumed the spongier texture was due to it being gluten free. My cappuccino was more of a bitter roast than my preference. They do charge extra for plant based milk. Inside is cute. And they have a fridge with breakfast burritos to go. I look forward to trying more things.”
“The building is super cute! They recently did a remodel and you can tell! It's super adorable and quaint. So I enjoyed that! The good... The drinks!!! They are delish! Really really well done! As well as the Guac and the Salsas! They were so good we took the extra home! Yum! The staff was super nice and attentive having it be a busy Saturday night and were quick to get drinks and food items to us! Now onto the main food. The veggie tacos were straight so amazing and good! The shrimp tacos were a little sad. They had good flavor. But only 3 skrrrriiimp on a huge flour tortilla for $11 a taco... is like... uh corn tortilla could make the 3 shrimp seem like much more! The garlic ribeye was very dry like it had been sliced and just sitting out, although another friend with the same order stated hers wasn't dry at all. 4 stars because $11 for a 3 shrimp taco on a huge flour tortilla didn't fit well. Now $6-8 for that same taco. I probably would have given 5 stars. $200 tab for 5 drinks, 3 taco plates, 1 burrito bowl, chips, salsa, and guac.”
“The pastries are fantastic! The so tasty and perfect blend of flakey and fluffy, not an easy feat. The baked goods are also beautiful. The coffee was tasty and complimented the baked goods well. The atmosphere is kid friendly and has a great blend of locals and visitors. They had high chairs available. I would post pictures but we ate everything too quickly.Dietary restrictions: They had a few gluten free options that looked delicious. Everything was very clearly labeled for allergies (gluten and nuts, etc.).”
“Perfect lunch place. Great for kids since it's near the airport playground too. They can be busy during lunch rush, but you can call in orders in advance which us helpful.”
“beer seems to be getting better by the month. i'm excited to see what they come out with during the next few months. noticed a busy dart night one night i was there. my favorite thing to do is grab taco bell and then a pint and sit around the fire eating my greasy $2 burritos. summertime is busy and i hope they figure out a way to pump out beers (maybe a window?) cause it'll be crowded”
“Stopped by and enjoyed a ginger agave cider and hard kambucha with the most delicious pretzels and beer fondue.... the owner, Austin is the nicest man, the place is awesome ,great music is played and we will return for sure. While in Truckee you have to go there !!”
“We had a great meal! The lunch special was a great deal and perfect for our kids to share. We also got wings which were delicious and not breaded or too greasy. We also ordered a medium pizza. Everything was fresh and flavorful. Our server was SO sweet and patient with our kids. Highly recommend this place especially for families.”
“Got the nitro cold brew, a honey-vanilla latte, chocolate chip cookie, an oatmeal raisin cookie, the huevos ranchero frittata, and the ham and cheese quiche. We can very enthusiastically say that every single sip and bite was pure excellence. So disappointed we found this place on our way out of town, but will look forward to the next time we visit.”
“This place was killer! The food? Bang on. Coffee? Heaven in a cup. And the owner? Absolute legend. Felt super welcome and the vibes were just right. Honestly, can't wait to go back. If you haven't been, what are you waiting for? Check it out!”
“tiny parking lot but yummy food!! both the french onion soup and the chicken pot pie were delicious. i didn’t get any drinks (seems like it’s just dispensed by a machine) but there are tea and coffee options available. it was lovely to sit by the fire and read/relax for a bit.”
“Came here on a weeknight during a trip to Tahoe. We were seated immediately in a cozy area in the back, and our server was very kind and attentive. We started with sashimi and lobster tempura. The sashimi tasted fresh, and the tempura was perfectly crispy. We split the Thai seafood soup as our main. This was super flavorful and not too salty. We really enjoyed the service and ambiance here too!”
“I rarely leave reviews, but this place deserves the attention. The beer was phenomenal. I tried three different brews and each one was my favorite. On top of that, Montana, the Paleontologist by day and server by night made our experience memorable. I brought my toddler with me and she entertained both of us the entire time (in a great way) with amazing facts around dinosaurs and was an absolute gem. Their location is a bit hidden, but fully worth the visit. It's SO cool inside. We took off right before trivia night, but I'll definitely be bringing my wife back to join the fun. Anyone looking for a place to stop by should add this to their list. Huge appreciation to Montana for such an enjoyable time.”
“Awesome atmosphere! Glad we stopped in on our way home from skiing. Food-wise chicken sandwich was delicious, fries were great, and the beers on draft were tasty. Would easily return on our next trip to Tahoe.”
“Muffin and bagel are both delicious, and you can tell that they have different intentions than chain or restaurant breakfasts. The coffee is surprisingly delicious, and the owner is very polite and courteous. This is my second visit to this small shop and I still like it very much.”
