“This little gem has the best pastries and the best staff. None were too busy to goodnaturely answer my guest's many questions about the soft feta cheese in his omelet and the homemade bread. And that aforementioned baguette? Delicious and fresh. Very satisfying breakfast. Just look at the photos!“
“I saw some comments about “not great food” and absolutely disagree with them! Among great cocktails and lots of draft beer variations they have very delicious food - we got artichoke deep and blue cheese burger - all was super delicious! They have a patio too for big crowds. Will come back for sure!“
“This is one of my favorite bars to meet people in Toluca Lake! There's not a ton in this area in the way of bars, so Catcher in the Rye is great to have around. Really fun book-themed ambiance and yummy drinks. Solid apps. Avid readers will love it!“
“Absolutely delicious the flavors were on point and serve hot for a pickup togo order. We order everything gluten free other than my main dish for the night and my wife and I were amazed on how delicious this was. My wife sweared up and down no way this is gluten free because how delicious and well flavors were. Definitely a safe spot for gluten free. The service was very easy and fast, plenty of parking out front and pickup table was easy. Inside they had nice relaxing music tables to dine in made it seem nice and homey. Will definitely be back the portions are great they don't skimp out. Thank you for your hard work there.“
“Loved everything! The service was warm and friendly, the food amazing and the space is beautiful. The only thing I'd change is the soundtrack volume as it was a very shrieky hip hop rap that was difficult to listen over and concentrate with. Thank you for your hospitality.“
“You absolutely have to dine here! Everything from the food, to the service, to the wine/cocktails and ambiance was absolutely incredible. My significant other doesn’t eat raw fish and I forgot to mention it when booking, but the staff asked at the start of the meal and they were happy to accommodate the preference despite it being last minute. The somm absolutely nailed the pairing the night I was there. My group loved every single pour so much that we asked for a detailed list of the tasting. Overall, everything was fantastic and I quite enjoyed the perfect balance between friendly and professional when it came to the service.Thank you for an incredible night!“
“AOC is a culinary haven, boasting a James Beard award-winning chef whose talent shines through every dish. The Spanish Fried Chicken is nothing short of spectacular – the best I've ever had. The overall dining experience at AOC is a testament to exceptional food and skillful craftsmanship. A must-visit for any food enthusiast!“
“Bursting with flavor, in a fun atmosphere, Girl & the Goat never fails to please.Parking: There are plenty of paid lots around. Here. Any free street parking is hit or miss. There is a paid lot across the street that is only $5/hour and usually has plenty of spaces.“
“The food was outstanding and extremely flavorful! The overall experience was very fun! The only reason I give it 4 is the hostess couldn't answer our question on parking. She was unhelpful and frankly, rude. However, our server was wonderful and extremely knowledgeable. I recommend eating here. But I agree with other reviews that the service could be improved.“
“A Hollywood classic restaurant with great wood fired steaks and a deep cut menus of some true old Hollywood staples. The sauerbraten of Wednesday nights is something my partner brings up regularly as a flavor thick with memories. Best martini I’ve ever had. The small martini glasses and iced miniature carafe are wonderful touches. The restaurant itself is like stepping back in time from the murals on the walls to the wooden booths, to the cabinets behind the bar.Parking: Valet in the back of the restaurant“
“The restaurant needs to buy one can of WD-40 to fix their squeaky front door. Had to wait 20 minutes outside the front door waiting for our table (which was not a big deal) but for the incredibly squeaky front door which opens repeatedly. Everyone waiting for their table was getting a headache. Food was great. I won't return until I know that door is fixed.“
“2nd time here and it’s off the charts!Love the Asian fusion food - don’t miss these two items, green papaya salad and miso pork jowl! Everything is delicious - literally. The atmosphere is incredible, fun colors, low lighting and jungle animals lurking. Fun and funky spot with sophisticated flavors make Piccalilli a great place to check out!“
“Vespertine defies categorization as a mere restaurant. While it does offer food, it encompasses a realm beyond traditional dining. Vespertine will challenge your preconceived notions of what a restaurant should entail, leaving you questioning everything you thought you knew.“
“Barbara and Jofre gave us amazing service! Jofre especially went above and beyond gave us a list of places to check out In LA. We are visiting from Vancouver, don't know much about the area and he gave us a break down of what to check out and things to do. Will def come back, make this guy a manager “
“Our server was helpful in deciding what we should order. Started with delicious arancini. We ordered cauliflower steak w/ a wonderful sauce underneath. Also got schwarma encased in homemade pita. Followed by donut holes that came to the table piping hot. We will be back!“
“Donna Jean is a great place to enjoy healthy vegan options in the Sherman Oaks area, the staff is very helpful and very attentive. My wife and I came here for Brunch on a Sunday and we ordered there Fungazi and we also got the hot shrooms. Both dishes were really really good. I highly recommend Donna Jean for everyone not just if you are Vegan. The food is outstanding and nothing beats a lively atmosphere and nice staff.“
“Vicky’s has easily become my favorite place to eat. The staff is very friendly and the food is consistently delicious. This is a great date spot, a place to meet friends or the go-to for take away when you don’t feel like cooking but want something that hits home every time. They have perhaps the best breakfast sandwich in all of LA and everything else on the menu is worth ordering. I highly recommend Vicky’s All Day because I could eat there every day.“
“Great breakfast spot. We had the waffles with berries, the sunrise breakfast with scrambled eggs, side of hash browns, iced matcha with oat, and pu’erh tea. It is on the pricier side at ~$24 per item.Waffles with berries: amazing! You can’t tell or taste that it is made with almond flour. The real star of the dish is the butter; soooooo good! The raspberries jam was a little too overpowering and tart — if that’s your thing you’ll love it.Sunrise breakfast — traditional breakfast with good quality ingredients and it shows; but it’s nothing too fancy or out of the ordinary. The toast was the star, very crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside.Has brown — nothing special. Tasted straight out of McDonald’s.Iced Macha — really good and flavorful; not too sweet and not too overpowering.Pu’erh — underwhelming but also not sure if I had expectations. It tasted like water with a hint of tea. I wouldn’t buy that again if I come back.Service — the service was fast to get the food out but they were bad on following up on anything and the place was not busy; we were two of about 6 people total. Asked for refills on our waters or for a to go cup, and both took a long time. Not bad but also not great.Overall 3.5 or 4 out of 5. I wouldn’t go out of my way to come here again, but if I’m in the area I wouldn’t mind stopping by.“
“First time coming to HLAY with my two cousins and IT WAS AMAZING! The customer service was 10/10, the food was delicious 1000/10 and the atmosphere was lively, fun and everyone was in their own world living, laughing and loving. I would come here again with my Fiance, my primas (cousin's in spanish lol), and other friends!! seriously amazing- a homey feel. GREAT food!! the STEAK WAS DEVINE!! and the peppers were WOW no words! I cannot wait to be back!! parking on the side valet. almost forgot ! the drinks were GREAT!!“
“What a wonderful place to take friends to a place ro remember. Great atmosphere and outrageous food. Order the short rib 24 hours beforehand if you want the best steak you've ever had (this beats steaks I've had in Omaha). The drinks are diverse and very tasty. The crispy rice and the sugar snap peas are on a whole other level- super amazing.“
“Very busy café for the “in-crowd” in the Los Feliz area with plentiful indoor and outdoor seating.Upon staff recommendation, I tried the chocolate chip bread pudding- which was absolutely massive and delicious! Not the best bargain at $10, but I’d say it was worth it and probably could have been shared with another person. There is also a bar in the room adjacent to the coffee shop/bakery, which was also very busy.Neat place to get delicious food and drinks, get some work done, or just sit and people watch.“
“Went early for lunch, very few people at 11:30 am. Food good, portions for beans and coleslaw was adequate couldn’t eat it all, rib tips are served by weight only got 3 pcs. But they were smoked and tender.. tasty with or without their kind of thick BBQ sauce.Parking: Metered parking on LaBrea Blvd. Did not see a parking lot.“
“Popped in with a date on a day that was raining cats & dogs and had such a gratifying and pleasant experience! We sat at the bar and were immediately taken care of. Big shout-out?️to Indio for providing exquisite service, excellent cocktails and just being an all-around awesome dude; he really made our experience what it was.The food came out fast and needless to say, the kitchen staff absolutely killed it!! We tried ALL the tacos; asada, al pastor, shrimp, chicken mole & chicken tinga. They were all great with the stand outs being the al pastor and the mole = ?????. The al pastor was so crispy? with a great mixture of sweet from the pina and the salt from the pork and yo, that mole, that mole though?...had such a fantastic combo of savory and chocolate profile that was super unique; well done?.The cocktails were expertly crafted by our main man Indio, they had great balance and were enjoyed to the very last drop. The place has a great atmosphere that supports intimate conversation, relaxed vibes and on chilly nights, there's a fireplace to cozy up on too.If you're in the neighborhood, Melrose Umbrella Co., makes the list and won't let you down.“
“One of my favorite restaurants in all of LA consistently delicious, great menu, super friendly and attentive staff, terrific value and always beautiful interior. Valentine's was crowded and bustling, but still nothing was left out and my friends were all very pleased! Will always return here its a hidden neighborhood gem!“
“The cinnamon bun sells out for a reason! Great food, great vibes. Love the pastry cart. Burger was probably the favorite entree. Croquet Madame was also ?. Service a little slow, but our waiter was sooo nice and sent us home with amazing cookies.“
“Very pleasantly surprised by the meal. Ambiance is great, perfect music volume. Great looking outdoor space, but i never felt outside. The food was the real star of the show. Service seems to start slow, by design. They give you a moment 5-10 minutes to settle into your table, before the "show" commences.“
“Nice meal. A little crowded on a weekday lunch time, but service was pretty fast considering. A little on the pricier side considering the portions and just standard service. Food is good, but not stunning. Come here mainly for the visuals.“
“After a comedy show, my boyfriend and I, along with friends, sought refuge from the rain at this charming spot. Valet parking for $7 saved us from the street hassle. Inside, we enjoyed tasty Old Fashioneds and Margaritas. The bell peppers stuffed with tuna were delicious, and the shared burger and fries were top-notch. Attentive service and a quirky horse video near the restroom added to the experience. Overall, a delightful post-show dining choice.“
“Wonderful ambience and great food and service in a unique setting. Our server Karen suggested some dishes we shared included a great fried artichoke salad and the mixed lettuce salad was dressed to perfection. The fettucine dish with beef and pork was prepared with a lovely bolognese sauce and great pasta. Also highly recommend the stemple creek ranch steak which was cooked to perfection and enjoyed the sides of onion rings and potatoes. The drink menu is inventive and highly recommend the gimlet.“
“Was für ein fantastischer Abend! Als Auslandsösterreicher auf Urlaub in LA und im Spago's zu Gast... Herausragender Service, unglaublich kreative Küche und dann noch Wolfgang Puck persönlich da, um sich um die Gäste zu kümmern... Es könnte nicht besser sein. Ein wunderschöner Abend, der noch lange in Erinnerung bleiben wird! Vielen Dank, bis zum nächsten Mal!“
“The pan fried mackerel was just OK. The fry on it was great but the pickled veggies were way too salty for the dish. The side dishes like the snap Peas and the potatoes were delicious. Mostly the space is gorgeous, and the service was great. Great people watching.Parking: There is valet. There are metered parking but it's hard to find. There are lots that are quite expensive. If you're willing to walk a few blocks during the day you can park in Little Tokyo and either walk to or scooter over.“
“Howlin Ray's has been on my son's bucket list forever! We finally made it in... (3X now) Every time has been phenomenal. The food, the service, the atmosphere and of course the music was vibing! Shout out to Mario and Lee they went above and beyond to take care of us! The Sando, 2.0, chicken tenders and the collard greens - food is like nothing you have ever had! The best chicken sandwich we have ever eaten, my son's words "it slaps!"ps those collard greens wasn't enough to share with the famz just the right amount for me!?“
“My wife and I dined here last night and the food was creative, exciting and most of all delicious. Our favorites were the matzo ball soup, tinned salt spring mussels, the small relish tray with 5-onion dip and the rose petal pie. Shout out to the staff, especially Oscar, who helped walk us through the menu and was happy to chat with us at the close of service. The energy in the restaurant was vibrant and joyous. I loved the music.“
“Owned by Caitlin and Daniel Cutler Ronan serves Neapolitan Pizza that eschews tradition in favor of local Produce and Proteins inside an understated space with a patio on Melrose.Opened in 2018 and surviving the pandemic with take-out, 2023 adding Sunday Brunch to nightly Dinner service, it is after eyes adjust to the darkened interior that diners sit in posh booths perusing a menu of inspired plates, Pies, biodynamic Wines and Cocktails. In many ways a neighborhood Pizzeria, assuming the neighborhood is attuned to Wood-Oven Pizzas featuring a bubbly Crust with lots of char and chewiness, New Year’s Eve found Ronan offering Caviar in several styles including as an addition to fluffy Focaccia served piping-hot alongside Cultured Butter.Varying the menu seasonally, Brunch additionally quite different from Dinner, Pizzas arrive coursed out in no less than twenty minutes with Margherita expectedly excellent as a result of imported Tomatoes, Basil an Mozz plus a bit of Pecorino. Also featuring a black marble bar within earshot of the oven, perfect for solo diners or couples wanting to watch Dough stretched and fired, Brunch’s Green Eggs & Ham riffs on Dr. Seuss with Mortadella and Ricotta plus a runny Organic Egg while “A Tuscan Winter” puts locally grown Japanese Persimmons on display amidst a backdrop of local Honey and Squash Blossoms.“
“Best upscale Filipino food on the Sunset strip! Will definitely be back.Try the lechon kawali and chicken skins! OMG! So heavenly! Our server was great and very sweet and seemed to genuinely care that our experience is nothing short of superb!“
“This place has been absolutely incredible since the moment I made the reservation. When I called to reserve a table for my first anniversary, I mentioned it to the staff, and they assured me they would provide the best table in the restaurant. I booked the table three months in advance, and upon arrival, I was greeted by polite and welcoming hostesses. True to their word, they escorted us to one of the best tables in the restaurant. I was delighted that they remembered and fulfilled their promise. The food was exquisite - every dish we ordered was bursting with flavor and expertly prepared. The drinks were also fantastic. I must extend my gratitude to Paco for his exceptional service; his professionalism truly made us feel special. Overall, our experience at this establishment was fantastic, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to others.“
“I ordered the No. 3 with eggs, pancakes, bacon and potatoes. Everything tasted fresh and good and even the coffee is good! Don’t expect to not be a little greasy, but this place is a winner! Very big lines outside waiting but because I was on my own I got a seat at the counter. Highly recommend.“
“A staple for great steakhouse food, delicious drinks and a fun night for a group, a family or a date night. The management is some of the all time best in LA- always willing to do the most to make your experience as special as possible. Some favorite menu items are the Tomahawk ribeye, the table side Caesar and ALL of the sides. Not to miss would be the fries (of every variety), the creamed spinach and the onion rings. For seafood lovers, I recommend the blackened salmon. The roast chicken is also divine. The not-to-miss and free star is the roasted garlic that can be spread onto their delicious bread assortment or onto any of their solid proteins.“
“Great branding, fun atmosphere, lovely place! Smash burger was too smashed, all crisp, no meat flavor. The crunch is good at times but you don’t want it the whole way through, definitely recommend the window for a good smash burger. Next, the fried chicken sandwich - you can tell the chicken has been either sitting in A) its own juice or B) brine. You can smell the wet chicken in the sandwich, and as a result of its wetness, the breading does not stay on the chicken. Very very mediocre, also didn’t help that the chicken was rubbery in texture. I believe in leaving reviews to help you guys, I will definitely be back! Love the fun flavors, just need to execute execute execute!“
“came for happy hour and Monday Night football - great vibes will come again - ate on the 2nd Floor and they had nba and nfl games on. staff is friendly and washrooms clean. got nachos wings and a burger. and couldn’t go wrong with modelo on tapParking: spots are for multiple businesses in the plaza. just be careful as parking spots are tight“
“Although we live out of town, we had the pleasure of a previous experience at Mirabelle and wanted to share this "tucked away" gem with friends on a recent visit to celebrate a birthday. We enjoyed another amazing experience and our friends were delighted by the ambience in their dining room. The food and wine were amazing and service was spectacular.“
“We stopped by The Mermaid after dinner for a couple of drinks and had a pretty good time! It was super crowded but we were lucky to find a table to sit at. The place was pretty loud but the playlist was great and the atmosphere and crowd was friendly and a lot of fun. With a cute underwater/sea theme, their menu looks like it typically has a lot of rum based drinks but we had to get the special holiday drinks!Out of the specialty drinks we ordered the Sinterclaws, Seven Siren Swimming, Nauti or Nice, Carols of the Coral, A Merry Little "Coquito", and a Dementa Xmas "Shot." Almost all of the drinks were served in festive glassware like a snowman mug, so cute! My favorite drinks had to be Seven Sirens Swimming with the brown butter fat washed Chihuatan Indigo rum, and the "coquito" like a tiny coconutty eggnog.“
“The Sommelier was top tier and absolutely lovely. The Farmers Market salad was thoughtfully and beautifully prepared- a must try. The bread came at an odd time, but it was nice. The squash soup was an entire meal for me, but the Cod looked amazing! The service could not have been better. It’s not a romantic or softy lit spot, but it’s an experience you don’t want to miss if you’re in search of excellence.Vegetarian options: The Farmers Salad was amazing- the squash soup was lovely, but wasn’t vegan.Parking: They share the valet - $12.“
“My wife and I just had our 4 year wedding anniversary at Bacari W 3rd. Could not have picked a better place! The semi-private garden area was perfect for our 30 person event, beautifully setup with personalized touches for our party. The service was impeccable and the food and drinks were outstanding. Everyone had such a great time!“
“Our second time dining here, this time we brought friends. It was perfect and food, service was awesome. However I was a bit disappointed by the lobster pot pie.... It was not what I was expecting, lobster was cold and just didn't taste right. Other than that, great place to fine“
“Amazing atmosphere and decor. Food was so good. And staff was absolutely so kind, attentive, and friendly. I 10/10 will return and will definitely be returning. If anyone is reading this please visit. It's worth the time. Try the Wolve Burger. So delicious and the plate is LOADED WITH FRIES. thank you for making this a amazing experience!!!“
“Fixins is always a great time! From the moment you enter to when you leave, you're being warmly greeted by security and staff. The food and drinks are delicious, the DJ is always on point with the music and the atmosphere as a whole is always nice.“
“Very good pastrami dip, from the videos I thought it would be more stacked but it was fine, nice pickle slice with order, we also got a brisket sandwich, my father complained it was very greasy but had a great flavor, if I ever come back I will try the pastrami on rye it looked wonderful ✌️“
“A hideaway restaurant for adults. It's located near Little Tokyo, but the signboard is small so don't miss it.This stylish restaurant is housed in a renovated church, serving creative American cuisine with European touches in a relaxed atmosphere. Shishito peppers are recommended as an appetizer. For mains, we had scallops (Day Boat Scallops) and steak (New York Strips), both of which were delicately prepared and seasoned, leaving us feeling highly satisfied.Recommended for eating alone or with your loved ones.“
“Random place we found walking around this area and loved it so much we came back. Good korean fusion with amazing breakfast items. Recommend the bulgogi fries and Korean tacos. The breakfast burrito was beyond amazing. Parking is super limited the second time we came but lots of room inside with great service.“
