The service was top notch, all of our servers were informative about the food and friendly. The atmosphere is dark line and good speakeasy should be with a live instrumental trio, but you could still hold a conversation with your date without yelling. The food was uneven, the starters (buns and tiger prawns) were incredible, the dessert (cookies and cream) was surprisingly full of flavor and delicious. The wagyu steak was good but not melt in your mouth amazing, which is what I want when I get a steak at a restaurant. The pork belly was the most bland item we had, but my husband still enjoyed eating it. Overall a great place for drinks and small bites.

I was curious to see what they meant by "Angeleno" cuisine so we went there a few days ago. What it seems to mean is that they lean into seasonality for produce while taking inspiration from the numerous food cultures in and around LA to good effect. The menu is focused and delicious with surprising elements and hints of exotic recipes tailored to accommodate fresh seasonal produce. There wasn't anything we didn't like. The dining room is one large, high-cieling space designed to feature the live music played regularly with the founder's wall of sound engineer Grammys set proudly behind the small stage. Turns out fine dining pairs well with good music. We knew that already, of course, but Verse was intended to see how far that idea could go. Worth a try for sure.

Quality comes at a price. And there's plenty of it here. The venue is beautiful, the musical atmosphere excellent. Young people, but ok service.

We were visiting a friend and Verse was recommended. So glad we got to have this wonderful experience. The whole evening was a vibe (from the music, the display of the Grammy's, the food and cocktails). Our server Benji was outstanding (very knowledgeable, personable and friendly). I will definitely visit again next time I'm in LA

Gold Digger cocktail was beautiful and the chocolate bitters added a nice taste. Forgot the name but the Hibiscus cocktail was refreshing. The MAAD City was a nice final cocktail for the night.

I've known of Verse for a couple years and finally got to go last night and man I wish I would have checked it out sooner. I'll start with the space, it's an audiophiles dream. The whole restaurant is built like a recording studio, although it doesn't look like it at first glance, but closer inspection reveals very intricate sound absorbing treatments on all the walls and ceiling, as well as an impressive array of microphones dangling from above for their "Constellation sound system" where every seat in the house has perfect sound from the live music they have EVERY night! In the brief moments without music the restaurant is one of the most satisfying acoustic rooms I've been in outside of an actual recording studio.Onto the drinks, I love an old fashioned and this one was way up there on my all time favorites. Our waiter took a torch to an interesting device to add some real smoke to the drink which sat in the glass while I sipped. The food was incredible, I had the hokkaido milk bread and the crab pasta with the seared uni. Both perfect! My girlfriend had the Lamb pasta, also superb. The staff was also very pleasant and welcoming, I can't recommend this place enough and cant wait to come back for dinner or just a cocktail at the bar.
What a beautiful spot! Incredible food and cocktails, great service, and the unique acoustic design make it the PERFECT dinner spot to have a conversation. On the pricey side, but worth it.

Enjoyed the Valentine's pri fixe menu. It is on the pricy side but the food and service were exceptional. What stands out though is the acoustics and the atmosphere especially when it is a little less crowded. Soft guitar & perfect sound better than most concert venues or clubs.

Verse has become our favorite restaurant in Los Angeles. The food, the service, the ambiance are all amazing. Never disappoints! Each time we go there, we try something new or we have the chef recommend something. We will continue to go back!! Some of my favorites include the scallops, all steak entrees, pork belly risotto, and u have to make sure you go off your diet and enjoy the hokkaido buns!! ❤️

Food Appetizer Croquettes and the bread and butter were 10/10 Mains 6.5/10 Lamb risoto and the duck were both ehh, duck was too plain risotto was too chunky and had too much meat juice in it. Also the waiter told us in the beginning they'd bring us a cake for our birthday celebration so leave room and at the end when we brought it up our waiter was confused and asked if we wanted to order dessert so that felt weird being gas lit lol. Ambiance 10/10, lovely place, great for a date with a girl out of your league. Music was good and not too loud

Beautiful room, delicious food! A wee bit loud up front by the band, but it's worth it for the lovely culinary experience. Bonus points for the Freestyle playlist after the band's set last night.
Incredible food, love the vibe and the live music. Staff also was really helpful and nice.
