Really impressed with this place. The fried Brussel sprouts and cauliflower were amazing. The honey walnut shrimp was great. My kids got sushi and said it was some of the best they've had.

What a delightful surprise in the charming town of Turlock! Stumbled upon this hidden gem of a restaurant and couldn't have been more pleased. The Korean Stone bowl was an absolute standout—generous portions and bursting with flavor. And those $5 margaritas? Pure bliss! The bartender was not only super friendly but also incredibly knowledgeable, guiding us through the menu with fantastic recommendations. A must-visit for anyone passing through Turlock!

Amazing dinner spot in down town, tasty menu and unique dishes. The poke nachos are a must and their small plates are such great additions to any meal. I love this place and the service is amazing. I love how present the owner is at dinner even came to introduce himself during our one of our first of many visits. Love this place!
Recently visited for a date night – great ambiance, swift service, and delicious food! The Thai hummus, dumplings, and fried chicken were outstanding. Ideal for both romantic evenings and family dinners. Highly recommend!

The flavor of food here is always underwhelming. I don't think their sushi is very flavorful and not worth the price. Their curry plate was good, my friend had ordered it. The spicy tuna bites app was good, but maybe extra crispy would be better. Did not care for their Shanghai dumplings, island ramen, or dynamite roll. Third visit here, and I'm always a bit disappointed. Service is okay, could be better.

My daughter asked for a steak dinner for her birthday. This dinner was so good that she barely allowed me to let HER take the picture of her steak & fries. My husband ordered the shaking beef, which has an acquired taste. It was good but not for me. Daughter had the grilled skirt steak & fries. I wasn't sure what I wanted because this was a new place for us to try. Ended up with a special noodle dish the waiter recommended. Note it's not on the menu. It was good, but I did regret not ordering the Island Ramen bowl. Just couldn't risk it with the coconut milk that night. Anyway we will be back everything was delicious. Brussel sprouts cooked to perfection. The samosas are good too, but it's only 2, so if there are more than 2 people in your party, order more! Also, the garlic edamame had a garlic sauce that was really good! Enjoy!

Soooo, I had to give it another try because their food is very delicious and my Korean soul wanted the bowl again, and it was of course so delicious! Only wish they used more of the Korean pepper paste more to get more of a spice then more sweet, but still tasty!! Service was excellent and had no complaints! Maybe I went on a bad day where they were short, but gotta say night service is definitely on point!
The food was absolutely amazing! Everything we ate was so good! The service was excellent as well! We will definitely be back!

Been once before for lunch and had been wanting to try dinner only menu items. My girls and and I went after the downtown tree lighting ceremony. They have a nice selection of holiday drinks, so I opted got the peppermint martini. It came with a black sugar rim and was delicious! Not overly done in peppermint and a nice cool finish. We decided to get a full order of ahi nachos, Shanghai dumplings, pork bao buns and the rainbow sushi roll. The nachos are huge! This easily could have been a full meal for the 3 of us. It has ahi, avocado, several sauces, edamame, green onions, tobiko, cucumber and spicy crab. The Shanghai dumplings were good, but very small. You get 6 for $16, which is kind of pricey. My youngest found them too spicy. I think the sauce contained chili oil. The rainbow roll had a pretty nice presentation, but the bites were really thick. The rice wasn't what I normally have at a sushi restaurant, so ill probably be sticking to rolls elsewhere. My girls enjoyed it though and it came with a pile of seaweed salad in the middle. The pork bao buns came in a pair. Pork belly, carrots, pickled radish and BBQ sauce in a bao bun. The bun was like a little pillow. So soft and fluffy! Again though, the price $18 for 2 buns was a little expensive. We decided to end with the campfire smores dessert. It was a waffle, with melted chocolate and a perfectly toasted, gooey marshmallow on top. Served with fresh strawberries and blueberries with Graham cracked crumbs. We gobbled this up quickly. I would like to come back to try a few other items, but it's definitely not a place I could eat at often. Our server was fantastic, though! So friendly and helpful with any questions we had and always checking in.

First & Main offered a variety of drink options we ordered off of their seasonal drink menu. The drinks were well balanced. For appetizers, we ordered the Honey Walnut Shrimp and the Crispy Rock Shrimp Roll, both dishes were delicious. For our entrees we ordered the Salmon and Thai Shrimp Coconut Curry. The salmon was cooked to the temperature we requested, the sauce was creamy and tasty, the broccoli had a bit of char but tasted as if they were only steamed. The Thai Shrimp Coconut Curry was sweet but not overly sweet the coconut was not overpowering overall the dish was very flavorful and well balanced. I would recommend this restaurant to family and friends.

I have been dying to try First & Main for so long and was excited for the opportunity today. That, unfortunately, was short-lived. I despise leaving less than positive reviews but for the price I paid for lunch today and the disappointment with our food, it feels warranted. We ordered the cucumber salad from the sushi menu, the ahi tuna poke bowl, and the only saving grace, the Mongolian beef bowl. My first clue to abort mission should have been the $17 California roll, but alas, we stayed. For our appetizer, we chose the cucumber salad. It was nothing more than a spiral-sliced whole cucumber in a sour bath of vinegar water. No other flavors to be seen. The flavor was so overwhelming that all you could taste was vinegar. We each took one bite and slid the bowl as far away as we could. My daughter's ahi tuna poke bowl was the next hit. On the menu, the ingredients seem pretty standard, but nope, it comes with surprise strawberries, spring mix, and a pile of hidden blueberries mixed in too...? That coupled with the tiniest tuna bites and the overwhelmingly minty ginger glaze and it was a lunch nightmare. It felt like someone let their 6-yr old into the refrigerator to make lunch with whatever was within reach. Hard pass. The one positive was my Mongolian beef bowl. It was nicely flavored...for the few bites I got to take anyway before trading it off for the tuna surprise so my lunch company didn't have to deal with the embarrassment of sending their dish back, so I guess if you have to dine here, that's a pretty safe bet. Racking up a $65 lunch tab for that experience was only insult to injury. Definitely will not be back.
