I stopped in for a bite to eat. After reviewing the menu, I settled for a fresh green salad with Ahi.The waiter was courteous and attentive. He helped me customize my salad. I was very much pleased with the presentation and not to mention the taste. Overall, positive experience. I recommend Katana Sushi for your next meal.Parking: Parking during lunch has never been an issue for me since they have a large parking lot to the side of the restaurant.

This is the nigiri dish and the teriyaki chicken plate at Katana Sushi Bar in Turlock! I got this plate during their happy hour, which is from 9pm-10pm when they have some of their chef assorted sushi for 50% off, so what a deal!!! ? Instead of it being its regular price of $28, it ended up being $14! I am a huge fan of salmon, and this salmon didn’t exactly have a soft, fatty taste like how I usually like my salmon, but I do have to say that the other ones were delicious! For the teriyaki chicken dish, it was SUCH a big portion for only $15! I highly recommend getting this dish because you’ll definitely be getting your money’s worth with this plate! The chicken teriyaki was pretty good, especially with the sauce that was drizzled on top of it! There was a generous serving of rice, and the salad tasted pretty good as well! The mac salad was surprisingly pretty good too! This place was also pretty packed when I went, so this restaurant definitely is doing well with their customers! My total came up to $36.72 ^-^

This place has terrible customer service. They are not friendly, they are extremely slow even when they are not busy.Today I tried to go because I haven't been to katana for a while. Online it says they opened at 4:30 pm. But when I drove by the building there was a flashing "open" sign. So I called to check if they were open and a man answered and told me they open at 4. It was 3:50pm when I called. I told him ok, I'll wait 10 minutes until they open. So I waited 10 minutes in my car with my 7 year old daughter and at 4:05 pm we walked in. The door was unlocked and the 'open' sign was still flashing. When we walked a male employee came up and said that they don't open until 4:30 pm. I told them what the employee on the phone said. They told me there are no servers there yet so they can't serve us. I walked out. This was the last straw...not coming here anymore at all. Umi sushi in Modesto is my new spot!

Worst sushi I have ever had!!! I’m from out of town and should’ve known better. At $20 a roll I was expecting decent sushi but this was absolutely trash!!! Don’t eat here!!!

I've eaten here twice now and both experiences were below expectation. The servings are mostly rice and feel quite stingy when considering the price. The fried food tastes burnt and bland. The restaurant itself is nice and the servers do their best but I would not try it again as a result of the poor quality of food.

Arrived almost at 1 pm on a Saturday, plenty tables available. We asked for a bigger table for two and the server asked us if we were planning to order a lot of food. I did not appreciated that. I am not planning to come back here. This is the second time that I did not like the customer service.I understand if they do not want to give you a bigger table when is very busy, which was not the case .

Sushi was excellent. Only one waiter, he was running to and fro, and did a great job. Atmosphere was ok. Still super expensive - if they dropped the prices by $3-$5 on each roll, I'd definitely go regularly.
