We went with another couple. All first timers. The food was very good. We sat in the bar area. The salsa was good. They just didn't bring enough for four.The special mixed drinks that night were delicious, and the food was on point. They forgot to bring water refills after asking. Just the small details.The service was very good. Had to wait for some things, but not that long.Nice decore, place was clean, and you could feel the warmth and love in the building.

This is an interesting place for which I would like to know the history. I ate here at lunch on a Tuesday. Came in right at noon. It was largely empty, though I couldn’t see the bar.I was seated quickly but did not get any service for several minutes. Service was strangely slow but not unpleasant. Chips and salsa were just okay.The decor of Tesoro tells me that the owner has the aim to run a more upscale Mexican restaurant. The prices certainly reflect that. But the lack of customers along with prices on the higher end and slow service tell me that this restaurant needs more than pretty design features.Then the food came. Outstanding enchilada. Some of the best refried beans I’ve ever had. I usually skip my Mexican rice, but I ate most of it on my plate.If the owner can get the pricing and the service right, their food can carry the show. Curious to know more about this restaurant’s history and aims. Hope they make it!

I had this amazing meal but I dont speak spanish... it was the Mexican version of a chicken fried steak w/ shrimp... very spicy and A-Fricken-Mazing!! I like the set up there. A very "original" style type non-chain Mexican restaurant... this post was made in 10/18/2019... clearly this place has changed...11/16/2023Don't get the Nachos... 24.00 w tip and Taco Bell Nacho Bell Grande gives me the same amount of food... Might explain why this place was not busy during dinner time 11/16/2023. On a plus the girl at the door was friendly. I ordered Carne asada and it appears to be flavored ground beef... yup... never again...
