Van Nuys' best places for Mexican cuisine are in our list.
“We liked it a lot! I went with my family, and all the dishes we ordered were very well served and delicious. We ordered birria, a fish fillet, some tacos, chicken fajitas and Menudo. Excellent service and the place is very cozy.I highly recommend this place!!“
“Man what can I say I come to this place almost everyday after work for dinner ever since the first time I try the chicken I've never stopped coming LOL on top of that they make you feel like Familia. The chicken and the tri-tip are delicious the burrito is amazing to“
“This is a review for their new Peruvian menu. Just had their Lomo Saltado and it's absolutely delicious! Some of the best I've had! Meal was a little pricey compared to other Peruvian spots in the valley but worth every penny. Their rocoto sauce will knock your socks off.“
“I've been coming here since I was a kid but the new owner Marcos is definitely the coolest man/owner! He treats everyone like family and I love that he personally walks my order out to me every time. We chat like we've always known each other I think it's awesome! Highly recommend eating here! I eat here once a week and bring it on the golf course with me every weekend!“
“I was hesitant at first just because I was thinking of getting a burger but man oh man was I happy I came here it was delicious! I had the #7 Milanesa , but in retrospect I should’ve added ham to it as well. The avocado portions on the food was good, overall I would come eat here again. Like 15$ on average. They also sell tacos and quesadillas.“
“This is my go-to taco spot in the valley! Parking isn't that great considering that it is at a park, but it's not horrible. The tacos itself is what gets me going back and the customer service is good. They have a lot of options and the price is affordable as well.“
“I'm so happy we found this place. Love this style of Mexican restaurants. Staff was so friendly as soon as we arrived, and I loved the look and feel of this classic style that is well kept. We had steak and shrimp fajitas, shrimp mole enchiladas, Fiesta platter, and pina coladas, all so delicious! Clean, friendly staff, great service, good prices, and portions. Plenty of parking, would recommend !“
“I feel like I'm overly critical of Mexican food but damn this place left me full and happy. The tacos were supreme. Everyone in my group was very satisfied with their meal. Will be back for sure! Worth the price but plan on about $13 a person!“
“Bff and I made a long drive to this place to try the seafood parrillada which includes no rice just like 6 tortillas. The food was good, the fry fish was one of the best! The restaurant is very small, inside a small plaza, parking can get hard to find. Prices vary from average $12 to $120. Complimentary chips and salsa.“
“Incredibly cool service, very responsive and friendly staff, reasonable prices, the place is always very clean, smells nice and is cool and very cozy,I also, of course, want to note that the cuisine here is very very excellent, very tasty my recommendations))“
“Their food is great. The molcajete can be shared between three that's how big I felt it was. Their drinks are delicious I got one drink it came in a coconut it was sweet and creamy it had so much juice they had to bring it in a separate cup. Their micheladas preparadas are good too they put shrimp around it. Sometimes it can be very packed depending on what time you go but it's worth it and the environment it's always friendly, both times I came I got to listen to mariachi“
“We had a great experience tonight. Not only was the food to die for but the servers were the absolute best. The salsa was a little too spicy for my wife so our server, Janet made her a mild version. How kind! She made the best salsa too, it was so good that we ate it with a spoon lol. She was also very helpful with the menu. Our Order:Grilled Snapper - the whole fish consisted of 4 fillets and it was DELICIOUS. Awesome flavor and Janet brought us a homemade sauce that was the perfect addition... sauteed onions and tomato.Shrimp & Octopus Cocktail - this was another one that I ate with a spoon and didn't even dip a chip or cracker because it was THAT good.Everything from the ambiance, chips, service, meals was perfect. We'll be back very soon. Thank you to the entire staff... especially Janet!“
“Inside was okay, a couple of tv's playing the news. Food was great, but they did get my order wrong since I wanted to remove a topping. Speaking of food, I would say the food reminds me of a sort of premium mall food court. The service was nice, but the only thing that I do not like is their metal trays, reminds me of a cafeteria.Vegetarian options: Everything on there seems to be easily substituted with veggie options.Parking: Designated Parking Spots“
“This is one of those places that I wish I could visit more frequently. The food, freshness and quality has not changed. As in most instances and food establishments, only the prices have gone up.I still enjoy these mexican sandwiches, which are completely different than the common torta. The bread, the meat, cheese, and other ingredients make this sandwich "cemitas" the best in town and maybe all of LA and I will even say Orange Counties. I have tried other cemitas, however I have to say, most other places do not have very fresh ingredients or do not use the same ingredients like avocado or jalapenos. In any event, I will do my best to come here a little more often since I do plan to be in this area a little more frequency.I highly recommend this place, just know that parking is tough because they share with other businesses, laundry mat and liquor store.Due to the amount of customers, you might also experience a wait and many times they will not answer the phone as they are tending to customers that are present. With the size of the location they cannot have more staff to help with the output, and yes the food is always fresh.“
“Ordered family style kabobs and rice with various side dishes, and everything was great! Tender and juicy meats! Plenty of rice to share! Yogurt with cucumber, yogurt with shallot and shirazi salad are terrific, plus Persian flat bread for dipping. I would definitely go back.Parking: Giant shopping center parkingKid-friendliness: Food for all agesWheelchair accessibility: Easy access“
“This spot is the one! I’ve lived in the area for ever and just discovered this hidden gem! You have to pull up with an appetite and come ready to eat some solid food. Glad i found this spot on Google Maps.I got the Bisteq Ranchero & some tacos. It was absolute fire, wasnt able to finish it because the proportion was very decent. Customer service was great and Ive also put some pics below! ?“
“This place has the best carnitas I've had from this place all the way to the border in San Diego. Juicy, flavorful carnitas with the skins. I ordered 1lb of just meat. Side of their gauca salsa and a red and green salsa. The green salsa is very, very good. Red is also very good. Just randomly looked for a Mexican place near me and this was a hit. Cannot recommend the carnitas enough“
“Just delicious. My dad is a total hater of any Guatemalan establishment because he says they're ever good here but he is in love with this place. Authentic flavors, great customer service, absolutely delicious. We got the shuco de salchicha, mole de plátano & tostadas and it was all so good. I will be returning many times here to this little taste of home. If you're in the mood for some delicious Guatemalan food you are in luck.“
“This blue ocean themed restaurant was excellent. My dad was dying for a seafood restaurant, and Mariscos Puerto Angel delivered. The portions are excellent, the food is good, and the price is right. We just ate camarones a la plancha and al mojo de ajo. Both were tasty. If I lived in town I would eat here more often!“
“This place is a hidden Gem!!! I picked up food from there for the first time today and I WILL BE BACK! The food is FABULOUS!!! Absolute explosion of flavors! Sergio was the sweetest and super attentive. Amazing service! THIS IS THE BEST GUACAMOLE IN TOWN… and I am a guac snob! The tacos.. the sope…FANTASTIC! I have worked in the restaurant industry my entire life and this mexican food is one of the best I have ever eaten. I brought it home and my partner and I were in absolute delight enjoying every bite! You must taste this!!! Absolute hidden gem! Thank you Sergio and everyone in the kitchen!! AMAZING!! ?“
“Ordered tacos w all.. dam they were hot as hell.. This place is awesome but if u cant handle the heat (not even sure i can) be sure to say no salsa on the tacos.. the chips n salsa is pretty hot too but very flavorful. There are taco vendors everywhere but i felt a need to support. Legit mexican food for sure. Especially if youre hung over.“
“The valley is hard to find great sea food. Catch is a hidden gem. This place always reminds me when my god parents would take me out and have sea food at a traditional Mexican restaurant. The service is great it's fast and the waiters are always nice when I go. Truly a spot to go and good sea food and drinks with friends.“
“This restaurant is the best restaurant there burrito. It’s the best and the employees Antonio Norma Lily. They are very nice very professional, and very polite. They always do good work and they cook really great. Everything is wonderful I really enjoy their burrito. It’s the best.“
“Good Mexican restaurant. Got a burrito, big and juicy. Only one thing, if you buy a burrito, get it as "to go", mine fall apart just right away. Overall 5 star, you will get what you expect from your local corner Mexican restaurant.“
“This is my favorite vegan Mexican spot. They have the best food and it’s fairly affordable considering it’s vegan. I always get the Al Pastor burrito, cause it’s packed with flavor. They have other amazing items, but I tend to stick with my go to option that I listed. Overall, I am never disappointed when I go here, cause for the price the burritos are huge.“
