“This place is an absolute gem with friendly staff, and a menu that over the years I have come find literally everything is amazing! From their frittatas and breakfast burritos, their many variations on eggs Benedict, ? and vanilla Carmel syrup , you can't miss!“
“There was tons of space to sit down. The booths are very comfortable and can fit up to 4 people. The food was outstanding my son enjoyed the hot cocoa. The Swedish pancakes were light and fluffy and so were the scrambled eggs. The waitresses were very kind and had very fast service service. Definitely coming back.Parking: Many spots to park at, shopping nearby.“
“Absolutely sublime experience. Just perfection from start to finish. These folks know how to host. Possibly the best service my family and I have ever received. And the food? Divine. The items we ordered were clearly designed with thoughtful balance of flavor, and moreover with perfectly executed presentation. And to top it off, the wine was just lovely. Definitely a new favorite and a spot we’ll be sure to visit again and again.“
“Had dinner Saturday night with my wife, food was amazing. We started with the mussels as an appetizer then I had the crab and spinach salad and my wife had the cave salad add salmon. Everything about it was amazing. Especially the service, Sarah was our main server but we also were helped by a Rachel and Megan. We sometimes forget about the cave with its location but it’s a place we’ve always loved and and enjoyed when we get the chance to get in.“
“Very nice server. She took the time to explain the specials and gave an honest opinion about the options on the usual menu.Parking: There is a parking lot around the corner if the street parking is full.Wheelchair accessibility: It is very easy to enter the restaurant or outdoor seating.“
“Wow! If possible to give a five-star plus I would. I've eaten and have reviewed many places and this was just some of the best I have had. Tried the Cobb salad and was refreshing and filling at the same time. Also tried the Pesto Turkey Sandwich, it was full of flavor and just plain good.“
“This place is great! Been here a few times with friends that live in Oxnard. We went here our first time during covid and they were amazing even with limited staff and dealing with restrictions. We've been a number of times since and it is quickly becoming a favorite when we go to shows and such down town.“
“Dukes in Ventura, located not far from the beach on Seaward, remains a longtime family favorite for us, and our recent lunch experience only solidified that sentiment. While the restaurant has evolved over the years, it still retains its laid-back atmosphere, making it a perfect spot for families. With plenty of tables catering to various party sizes, a bar, video games, and a patio, there's something for everyone at Dukes. The counter service setup allows for easy ordering, with food brought to your table once you're seated, while bar drinks are purchased separately at the bar.The menu boasts a variety of options, including burgers, sandwiches, salads, fish, clam chowder, a kids menu, and various sides. During our visit, we indulged in fish and chips, a BLT, a whole ball of wax cheeseburger, and clam chowder, all of which were consistently delicious with no complaints. While the prices for sandwiches and burgers are slightly on the higher side, averaging around $20 per person for lunch, the quality of the food and the convenience of the location near the beach make it worth it. Dukes also offers a great option for those looking to grab food to go and enjoy a beachside lunch.Overall, Dukes continues to be a go-to spot for us, and we'll definitely be returning for lunch in the future.“
“Marshall emphatically answers the question of "Where is the MEAT?" And, so well cooked. (They had their BBQ grill going in their front yard. Hot on the spot.) This place is one of the most "Down Home" joints I've eaten in many moons. Their best efforts are in the food, which is really appreciated.I stopped for lunch at 1pm, and most of the orders were take-out from the working folks in the area. That tells you most of what you need to know. They know which places are best. The eat-in-area is as it would have been in 1960, but who cares when the food is top drawer? I had the best TriTip with BBQ beans and cole slaw. Superb. If you are looking for the best BBQ in Ventura, I suspect this place is Top-3. I say that only because I have a few places yet to visit. I promise that you will LOVE the food here.“
“I don't write reviews often, but I approached Xiomara when I received my to-go order and asked her name to write her a review. She was stellar. Absolutely on top of things, checking on orders, apologizing for any delays, verifying things were correct, and all over the place from behind the counter to helping package and distribute meals - all in a very calm and humble manner. I don't think she is the manager, but she has great qualities for that role if she ever aspires to do that. Thank you for excellent service and making my experience a great one!“
“A great place to experience the true local vibe of the Ventura Marina. The food and atmosphere is fantastic here. Be sure to experience the ahi tuna tacos with their famous age old passed down recipe fire sauce. The tastiest grilled fish taco between San Diego and San Francisco, guaranteed.UPDATE: This place rocks. I can't begin to appreciate the staff, atmosphere, and consistently excellent food.“
“My co workers and I work third shift and come just about every Friday morning. Everything we have tried has been amazing. The service is always amazing. Our regular server Erica is always on point and very attentive. Would definitely recommend coming here. Always a good time.“
“Ana, Angie, Luis and Luke are all amazing! I came to eat here 2 days in a row. Luis was sweet and super personable as my server yesterday and remembering me today. Luke dropped off our food both days and was extremely kind and had great customer service. Ana was my server today and was extremely sweet with great awareness of all the tables she was tending to. Angie is a newly promoted manager which is a great role for her. Angie came to get my order started and was super helpful! The food is always amazing here and the customer service and atmosphere are too! Thank you all for always making it a great experience!!“
“I've been a regular at the Victoria pub for over 25 years and they never disappoint! Nice strong drinks, yummy food, and friendly service. Give em a try!My favorites are their breakfast shots, cajun chicken sandwich, potato skins, and wings! My hubby really loves their burgers and shepherds pie...Kid-friendliness: Kids have fun here too! Mine love their burgers and playing pool upstairs. Nice and loud for a rowdy group“
“I ordered the Grand Slam! My over easy eggs were PERFECT! The Yoak was intact, creamy, and delicious. Didn't take a picture because i devoured my breakfast fast!. Our Waitress was very kind, very respectful. Communicated really well as they are super busy. If she didn't come refill our drinks, another waiter would assist. It was a very pleasant Cafe like feel. I will be back. The experience is what matters most to me!“
“Today was my first day trying out Black Bear diner in Ventura near the beach. I walked in and was immediately greeted by a beautiful young lady named Amanda. She was so kind welcoming and very informative about the menu and food. I was shocked when she said she was new! Absolutely recommend coming here, great service, great food and great atmosphere.“
“Lake Casitas Marina Cafe in Ojai is a hidden gem that combines scenic beauty with a delightful dining experience. The café's lakeside location offers breathtaking views, creating a serene backdrop for a relaxing meal. One standout feature is the complimentary two-hour entry into Lake Casitas Recreation State Park when you request access to the cafe at the entry gate. This not only adds value to your visit but also allows you to enjoy the natural beauty of the park before or after your cafe experience. The Marina Cafe itself is a charming spot, offering a diverse menu that caters to various tastes. From breakfast delights to hearty lunches, the culinary offerings are both flavorful and satisfying. The attentive staff enhances the overall dining experience, ensuring that customers feel welcomed and well taken care of.It's important to note that the Marina Cafe closes at 2:00 PM, making it an ideal spot for breakfast or an early lunch. This limited timeframe, however, doesn't detract from the overall positive experience. In essence, Lake Casitas Marina Cafe stands as a destination where culinary delights meet nature's tranquility. Whether you're a local looking for a scenic breakfast spot or a visitor exploring Ojai, the combination of a complimentary park entry and a delightful cafe makes this a must-visit. Highly recommended for those seeking a serene lakeside dining experience.“
“Came in for happy hour and all I can say is wow! The service was absolutely incredible- we had Jeff and he was such a delight! He was attentive to our needs, knowledgable of the menu and just such a joy to speak with! He knows how to add a personal touch to the experience! 10/10 would recommend!“
“I have visited The Cave twice, a week apart. The first time was for a wine pairing dinner, which we did with another couple. There were 5 courses (appetizer, salad, two entree courses, and dessert) and each dish was delicious. We decided to return a week later to see if it would be as good for just an ordinary night out. The restaurant was not too busy (it was a Tuesday) but each of the dishes we enjoyed was well prepared and very good. We ordered the Macadamia Crusted Salmon, a chicken special stuffed with goat cheese and spinach, and another chicken dish. The restaurant is attached to a wine shop, and if you don't want to sample wines by the ounce or order wine off the restaurant list, you can go into the shop and choose from literally hundreds of wines at all price points and then bring the bottle into the restaurant where they will serve the wine for a very minimal ($10) corkage fee. Done be put off by its location in an industrial park. This place is a gem! Inside it looks like a wine cave and they usually have some quiet live music at dinner time. This is definitely one of the better dinner spots in Ventura!“
“This is one of my favorite spots to eat in Ventura !! The food is sooo amazingly great ! I usually get the Avenue burger and garlic truffle fries , my hubby gets the Freddie burger with grilled jalapeños and an egg on top !! Food is so good !!!!! We also enjoy the beers they have a sampler ! You choose your beers and then bring them out in this cute sampler plate ! So good ! We have so many favorite beers , IPA’s , mixed drinks !! Kids love it too ! Everyone is friendly and attentive ! The place is clean and fun !“
“Our family has been visiting Cronies in Ventura since it was built when I was a kid. My mom has memories of us 'bringing our own chairs' because they had just opened :)Cronies is a great sports bar for friends, families, and kids of all ages. Burgers, sammies, beer, salads, and now a full bar - it's a friendly place to get your grub on. Our favorites are their burgers, wings, crispy chicken sandwich, and the THIRSTY TURKEY sandwich is by far my fave. They have great curly fries too!See you at Cronies!“
“Looks nice inside. The cooks were extremely slow though unfortunately. Good was good but took nearly an hour from the time we ordered to start to get our food. Partial order came about an hour after ordering, had our full order about another 20 minutes later than that. Kids also used the prize dispenser at the front and they weren't what was on the picture. One was supposed to be a squishy toy and we got a balloon with a hole in it!“
“I'm baffled as a local it's taken WAY too long to discover, come, and stay and dine at Cliff House On and Shoals Restaurant. What a treat, I almost debated whether to tell you all about this place because its truly special and the rates are fair and reasonable for even the locals like me to have made a spur of the moment micro vacation for a day and night at. This is what California hospitalty is all about. The restaurant is amazing, food spectacular, every bite delightful whether you're a vegetarian or a meat and seafood lover, everything is a great choice. This whole experience is the best kept secret in VC and Santa Barbara area.“
“This place is under new ownership and Silvia and Ken have so many great ideas for this place. I went there for breakfast today and had the Eggs Benedict. The sauce was so good. I'm very picky about my hollandaise sauce. They plan to start opening for dinner. Can't wait to try the dinner menu! I will definitely be a regular for breakfast And the staff is so sweet and on it!“
“Main Street Restaurant has fortunately been a local restaurant for many years. Family owned, you feel as if you're sitting down to a hearty meal made from the heart.I will say, be prepared (I was not) for the large portion sizes. I have breakfast for tomorrow now as well.“
“Great food , good selection of beer. Friendly and excellent service. The new owner Carlos is true gentleman.Vegetarian options: Great salads and veggie plates selection. Their veggie burger is also delicious.Parking: Parking is so easy. Right across theLibrary there is a big parking lot and it is free.“
“This is our go-to neighborhood spot that we've frequent for the last couple of years. The service is always given with a friendly smile, and the food never disappoints. The atmosphere is energetic and fun, and it's beautifully located 6 doors from the sand.“
“Every time we visit Ventura from San Diego we always try to come to Ventiki. I am a huge fan of tiki themed bars and lounges and I've been to many. This is a very small place and many people want to experience it. Patience is the key and don't get snooty and uptight with the staff and they in turn will treat you right. The maitra d there tries his best to accommodate you but he can only do so much, don't loose patience with him and he will be most accommodating. Be respectful and he will go out of his way to make sure you have a great time while you are there. It's a really fun place and the tiki drinks are spot on, they don't skimp on the alcohol. The food is pretty good as well. Overall it's one of the better tiki bars I've been to and I've been to many. All of the bartenders are cool there one in particular has his own home tiki bar that is so amazing and he's happy to show you pics of it and talk to you about it. In closing of my somewhat lengthy review of Ventiki again I want to stress it's a very small place and patience is the key. Keep that in mind be willing to wait you will be rewarded with a very good time.“
“This cafe is a gem for breakfast or brunch enthusiasts. The terrace is perfect for soaking up sunny days. Their food is delicious, and the staff are exceptionally friendly and attentive. Despite weekend lines, service is efficient, ensuring a pleasant experience. Highly recommended!“
