“Fav local tacos. Quick and easy to drop in and eat or grab and go. Order at the counter service. Staff is friendly. Limited indoor and outdoor seating area.Fresh salsas are a highlight plus during the week they have "taco happy hour" with discounts on tacos. I absolutely love the chile relleno and the patatas rajas tacos. Highly recommend this place.“
“We stopped by as they were closing, and they were kind enough to whip up a to-go order for us. We are from Florida and are no strangers to good seafood. These are the best fish tacos that I have had in many years. The combo had one grilled and one fried. They were both well dressed with the perfect garnishes for embellishment. The sauce was amazing and the salsa paired well with all. Bonus: all entrees had a pan fried banana pepper on the side. Next time we are over this way, we will definitely stop in!Dietary restrictions: Tortillas are homemade and gluten free. Grilled options also accommodate gluten free needs.“
“Absolutely some of the best tacos I've had in Ventura. Stopped by really quick after Target after putting it off way too many times and it was just as good, and better than I hoped it'd be. Really affordable compared to every other taco place I've been to in the area and better tasting. The bits of fresh charred pineapple on the pastor tacos was so good. The guys working tonight were super friendly and wrapped our food up to go really quickly. The tortillas were also homemade I'm pretty sure. Every bit was delicious and I can't wait to go back and try all of the other meat and their tortas. HIGHLY recommended, I'm so glad these guys are allowed to have their pop-up and I hope they're around for a long long time.“
“Good spot. Service is great, food is good. Looking forward to exploring the menu more. The beans are a little runny, I like them to be more chunky I guess. Also, I ordered a combo with a taco and enchilada and they put a taco tray thing into the rest of the dish. It wasn't aesthetically pleasing. I think they should just rest the tacos on the plate. No biggie though. Overall a great first impression and experience!“
“The food was okay, pretty bland flavors in my Carne asada burrito. I don't like carne asada made from ground beef, stuffed with rice and bean. “I have since relocated from the 805 and really miss the food. I would drive back for it if time permitted. Al pastor is awesome, but ironically their chicken recipe is what I can't forget---chicken burrito, chicken tacos, chicken quesadilla, chicken anything. Very tasty spicy salsa, they don't call themselves Diablo for nothing! And get those fryer fresh chips, quesabirria, chicken burrito, a carnitas torta, and some fish tacos!“

“4.7 stars is selling this place short! This is hands down the best most authentic Mexican food I have had in a long time. The food was so flavorful. I had a shrimp burrito and my wife had the combo plate with cheese enchilada, taco, and chili relleno. The chips and salsa didn't stop and one of the guys came by and asked if we liked spicy salsa.... yes please. He brought us a habanero salsa that was not just straight fire. It had so much flavor. Keep making that for sure! The beer comes in an ice cold glass. Oh and you want atmosphere .... this place treats you like family. Watching the locals come and go as we ate dinner, definitely tells me this place is good. The staff is so friendly. The prices are great for the quality and quantity of food you get. It's a shame this place is over 5 hours from my house. With what they got going here I'm sure they will be here next time I'm in town. If you are not a local (like me) and you are looking for THE Mexican food place, come here. Just don't drive fast, I missed the entrance and had come back around. There is limited street parking but way more parking behind the restaurant in the alley. Have a great meal!!Vegetarian options: Want to sub something non meat in your taco... get the potatoes!!! “11 am I passed Lalos twice. Lost on the Avenue. Since the restaurant is so eye catchy I decided to regroup have a bite and try to find my original destination. I'm so glad I stopped! My husband got the 3 enchiladas plate with rice & beans & I opted for the 3 taquitos. Service was quick got our food in less than 5 minutes. Maybe because of the time. They offer outdoor & indoor seating both very convenient comfortable and inviting. I will be back!! So much on the menu I wanna try!“
“I was looking for a quick meal this morning and stopped by here. I ordered an al pastor combination that comes with rice and beans. They also offer maiz or flour tortillas with the order. The plate was very delicious and juicy and not dry at all. They offer a large menu with lots of options. I love the vibrant green color of this place that makes it look very welcoming. They have little games inside for the kids. It does get pretty busy in the morning but they are quick with orders.“
“To the uninitiated, it is a blink-and-you-miss-it storefront that blends in with the surrounding businesses.However, read reviews from the VC Star and Yelp to see this is a beloved local favorite with satellites on Ventura's Main St. as well as in Oxnard.Their fare is excellent across the board. Every visit, the food is always cooked perfectly and the flavors within are rich and fresh. I have an addiction to the Chicken Tinga & Veggie #2 tacos. Soft and hard drinks are bottled.When it is busy (almost always) seating inside can be tight with at most 20 chairs in the entire restaurant, including the hidden back patio.“
“This was an unplanned stop on our way home. What a delightful experience with a family of five! The people working there are so friendly. The food was the best that I've ever had and the portions were generous. Everyone at our table agreed on the deliciousness of the food and portion sizes. While people watching, I noticed that many of the customers are regulars. The food was delicious. The service was great. The price was very reasonable. The restaurant was clean and the restroom was clean with hot running water. How often do you find that in a restaurant? Kudos to the owner and employees! I hope that you enjoy this as much as we five did.“
“This place is tucked away in Industrial Ventura... and I wish I'd tried it sooner. Our office now orders from here at least once a week. Their breakfast burritos and pastor burrito are consistently amazing and the hot sauce is some of the best I've ever had.“
“It’s a cute large space right on Main Street in downtown Ventura. It has inside and outside seating. Along with a salsa bar and a soda machine which makes it easy to get all the fixings you need and make your own Arnold Palmer with the pink lemonade. We were four for lunch and with three fountain drinks and one beer it was $80. Not cheap however fresh and good. Three of us had fish tacos and olive oil had shrimp quesadilla. I wish there was some cilantro and tomato in it however I never asked. I did ask for sour cream and guacamole on side which they did no problem. Overall experience was 4.5 however certainly better than a 4. Sitting outside was a bonus and you can hear them call your number as you must pick up your food. Code needed for restroom. It was a really nice lunch and street is closed for pedestrians which makes sitting outside so pleasantVegetarian options: Without adding meat you can have lots of options and bean proteins too“
“I had such a great experience at La Parrilla Yucatan. I started with some bomb.com wings! Then, I ordered the Relleno and enchilada combo, and my kids got the carnita tacos and fish tacos. EVERYTHING was so fresh and delicious. That food came out hot hot hot so you know it wasn't just sitting under a warmer. The flavors were so unique and not your typical Mexican restaurant flavors. It had a little something extra and was amazing! The Horchata, too. It was a different consistency than I'm used to, but it made for such a refreshing horchata. And even if it wasn't amazing, I would still go back just for the service. Wallie was GREAT! Right when we walked in, he greeted us us with a smile and was so welcoming and hospitable. He helped and answered questions about the menu. Even when my kids were changing their minds, he showed even more kindness. I was really impressed when he brought out wings WITH lots of napkins and ranch. That says experience. Usually we have to ask for that. Wallie knows what's up and how to make visiting La Parilla a great experience. Give them a try for unique, delicious Mexican food.“

“Gloria's is great. Our friends have lived in Ventura for 40 years and they brought us here as they said breakfast burritos are the best in town. They are huge and super good. I shared one, 1/2 was more than enough. We came back a few days later for dinner. It's not fancy dining but waiters were great, food served quickly, excellent quality fresh salads, warm crunchy chips and tasty salsa with some zing. We tried Pina Colada's, very good. And flan for desert, yum. Great Value too. I'd def come back on next visit to Ventura.“
“WOW! I'm so excited to discover this place. I've driven by a thousand times and decided today was the day I stop in. I'm now kicking myself for not coming in sooner. It's a bit off the beaten path as a destination, but I'd certainly make the effort now. I judge all Mexican restaurants by the Chile Verde and it was my luck that they had it on special today. Service was quick and friendly from the very beautiful young lady working here. The decor is fairly basic, but brings me back to the days of my youth were this is a ver classic fun look for a Mexican restaurant. It's very clean as well. I'm told that the owner, Ascensión Hernandez, has been here for decades. He's doing a great job as far as I can tell. The Chile Verde here is very good. The entire presentation was a wonderful trip back to the classic dishes I was used to growing up. Portion size is perfect. Not too little, not too much. The price point is perfect. Absolutely affordable and fair. I need to add this comment. The customer service here is SPECTACULAR!! The young lady here is on top of EVERYTHING. No one is waiting for a thing and she's checking on every customer to make sure they are completely happy. So refreshing in today's customer service environment. I will tell you that I'm going to make this place a regular stop on my travels. I look forward to trying the other tasty treats they have to offer.“

He was so gracious to accommodate my small wedding reception. We had about 30 people for our party and everyone was very content. The mole cafe was so finger licking good. “This was our first time being here and they DID NOT disappoint! Friendly staff, cute atmosphere, good music. It was busy and had about a 20 minute wait but it was so worth it! Was offered a seat at the countertop but they were happy to make accommodations due to my husbands leg brace. My husband is a tough critic when it comes to food. The only words he could get out were"WOW" and "this is so good!" This man would have licked his plate clean if no one else was around LOL. Food was amazing. 10/10 we will be back!“
“We brought a high school football team up to play Camarillo from South Orange County. Peter and his crew made togo dinners for all our players and coaches to eat on the bus ride home.
