“The wife and I went here for our ten year anniversary, it was great they serve alcohol if you want. We had the tiger shrimp cocktail which was great the cocktail sauce had some horseradish on the side and I had to try it great with a kick. For our main course we had halibut with organic brown rice and organic black beans, to be honest it was one of the best meals I've had in years. I will definitely be coming back.“
“This place is an absolute gem with friendly staff, and a menu that over the years I have come find literally everything is amazing! From their frittatas and breakfast burritos, their many variations on eggs Benedict, ? and vanilla Carmel syrup , you can't miss!“
“A fabulous time and place to go, these people who own and work there put their heart and soul into the atmosphere and Greek cultural experience for the patron. The food is fantastic, drinks are plentiful and not watered down. Belly dancing Greek dancing and authentic Greek music. Kid's love it, Family oriented old world experience that I imagine won't last too much longer, so go experience it while you are able, and it is still available“
“Good spot. Service is great, food is good. Looking forward to exploring the menu more. The beans are a little runny, I like them to be more chunky I guess. Also, I ordered a combo with a taco and enchilada and they put a taco tray thing into the rest of the dish. It wasn't aesthetically pleasing. I think they should just rest the tacos on the plate. No biggie though. Overall a great first impression and experience!“
“If u haven't been here...then you are missing out! By far, this is the best place to satisfy your seafood craving. They got it all. The first truck offers food that is prepared for you. From panko crusted oysters and oyster tacos to sea urchin tostadas and scallop ceviche, all made fresh to order. There is also a variety of oysters ready to eat raw or grilled, with multiple sauces and variations to stimulate your taste buds , best part is that you can do the shucking and grilling yourself, but for those unable to, they offer it shucked as well. The second truck offers things you can grab and go as well as artisanal crafted food. Canned smoke clams, a 3 cheese cheese board, crafted ice creams, and an amazing key lime pie. BONUS: you literally right next to the beach so what more can you ask for. TIP: park in the San Buenaventura state park and tell them you're here for the jolly oyster and you will get the first hour of parking free! Great food and great experiences guaranteed“
“Absolutely sublime experience. Just perfection from start to finish. These folks know how to host. Possibly the best service my family and I have ever received. And the food? Divine. The items we ordered were clearly designed with thoughtful balance of flavor, and moreover with perfectly executed presentation. And to top it off, the wine was just lovely. Definitely a new favorite and a spot we’ll be sure to visit again and again.“
“A lot of crab boil places use seafood that's clearly been through a long cycle of freezing and thawing. The crab/shrimp/fish here is incredibly fresh and delicious. I ate the biggest king crab leg I've ever seen here, and for that I am so, so grateful.“
“We had the breakfast burrito and the quesadilla and they were very good with large portions. We will get 2 meals out of this order. The potatoes are nice and crispy and salted just right. We will come here again when we are in the area. Most seating is outside but they do have 7 tables inside.“
“Absolutely everything on the menu that they suggested was dialed in with flavor profiles and presentation that enhanced the experience. You cannot go wrong here, the food is as good as the ocean views. I’ll absolutely eat here again. Some of the best clam chowder in town. The crowd favorite is without a doubt the ahi poke bowl. I personally recommend the jalapeño, battered halibut. It’s not spicy it’s just right.“
“A great place to experience the true local vibe of the Ventura Marina. The food and atmosphere is fantastic here. Be sure to experience the ahi tuna tacos with their famous age old passed down recipe fire sauce. The tastiest grilled fish taco between San Diego and San Francisco, guaranteed.UPDATE: This place rocks. I can't begin to appreciate the staff, atmosphere, and consistently excellent food.“
“Love this place! I had heard it was really good food. But I had no expectation that it was going to be as excellent as it turned out to be. So fresh! And really tasty. Not your run-of-the-mill, Mexican food. I will definitely drive an hour she go there again, and again…Vegetarian options: I ordered the burrito bowl with beans and rice. It comes with the freshest greens, avocado, and lightly pickled vegetables. So so good and tasty.“
“Went here for dinner, in my opinion, it's kinda overpriced. just a steak by itself is $50 and doesn't come with any sides. Sides are added on for about $10 each. Now the food was good, I had the shrimp risotto, my partner had a rib eye steak al a carte, also ordered the balsamic carrots, which were also delicious. The menu was just a little confusing. They offer a 4 course meal which i think had a set price, but then some of the items had prices next to them so i wasnt sure if we'd pay the extra price for the items they offered in the 4 course?? Our waitress was so nice, however, once we recieved our food we didn't see her again until we were ready to leave, apparently the owners stopped in and they were all chit chatting, even when we flagged her down mid conversation for our to go boxes she went back to talking to them. She did apologize and said those were the owners, so I know she was just trying to be a good employee by listening to their stories, but come on now owners, don't distract your wait staff from the paying customers. The vibe was nice, loved the music they were playing.“
“This restaurant is on the corner of the parking lot and the harbor. Opt for the harbor side. You can see sea lions as you eat! The fish and chips were amazing, the shrimp tacos were good and filling, the kids meals are huge! The chowder cup comes with a half boule of sourdough! Dogs are permitted on the patio.“
“I had a great experience, stopping by around lunch time. The young lady who took my order was attentive, offered great recommendations and had an awesome vibe and attitude. I ordered the Sweet Heart rolls and found them delicious and filling. I ordered a Benito box to go. Parking may be difficult if there are a lot of people, but I had an overall satisfying experience and would recommend it.“
“We visited Aloha twice during our visit, but each experience was very different. The first time the food and service were incredible! However the second time we had to send make 3 dishes for being cooked incorrectly, we had to repeatedly chase drinks orders. Aloha is a great spot, but depending on the night and servers, you may have very different experiences.“
“Each time we’ve come to Brophy Bro’s we have felt ignored and unseen. As African Americans this felt very uncomfortable. Every single time waiters have walked by us until we have to stop someone to ask for service. NOT COOL! (At all)We came today in Easter Sunday with reservations. We still waited 15 minutes to even addressed at our table.Food: We absolutely LOVE the clam chowder and Oyster Rockefeller.. however today we also tried the Shrimp Scampi ! NOT good at all. No flavor and it came with a thickens bland floury gravy. How can you mess up Shrimp Scampy? Can you consider bringing back your crab cakes? We may give it one more try.. ?It doesn’t hurt to smile…“
“I love Spencer Makenzie’s! The food is amazing as well as the service! I was there recently getting my tempura fish taco Brooklyn style! I ordered it to go because I was on my way to work. Haylee delivered it to me personally and I was on my way! So quick and easy. I ate half before I started my drive (45 minutes) and finished it when I arrived. It was still crispy and delicious! Everyone is very friendly. The entire experience is always wonderful!“
“Came in for happy hour and all I can say is wow! The service was absolutely incredible- we had Jeff and he was such a delight! He was attentive to our needs, knowledgable of the menu and just such a joy to speak with! He knows how to add a personal touch to the experience! 10/10 would recommend!“
“Early bird specials! I was able to get a taco, rice and beans, a drink, and a scoop of ice cream for $15. That deal can't be beat. The food is old school comforting and very flavorful. Our meal started off with chips and 3 different salsas. Highly recommend this place. We'll be back!“
“I have been here on a work trip and eaten here everyday. Hector has been with us every morning. I wish I lived here just to visit him everyday for breakfast! Moofish, y’all have an AMAZING person working for you!!!!! Food is great and EVERYONE here is the BEST!!!! Cannot recommend enough ?“
“Absolutely fantastic experience at Crab N' Spice! My wife and I decided to try it out and we were blown away. The crab legs were cooked to perfection, and the spicy sauce they came with was just the right level of kick - flavorful without being overwhelming. The shrimp and clams were equally impressive, fresh and full of taste. It's clear that quality is a top priority here. The staff was friendly and made sure we had everything we needed, adding to the great atmosphere. Highly recommend to any seafood lover out there. You won't be disappointed! ?“
“Fantastic customer service, and the food was delicious. I had the fish ceviche, came with a lot of avocado. It was soooo good I ate it so fast, practically inhaled it. Tried all of f there salsas they were all very amazing. Great little place in West Ventura. Prices are super reasonable as well, easy on the wallet. Can't wait to come back and try other items off the menu.“
“I've ordered take out from Rubio's on Victoria in Montalvo and find their service is great and their staff friendly. I like their fish taco plates and their healthy bowls. Prices are reasonable. This restaurant is always clean when I've visited. I will be back!“
“Best food in Ventura literally any plate you try.the green micheladas are amazing. The best part is the hospitality. They also have an amazing back patio and on fridays they have live music sometimes. It's a must it's a hidden gem.“
“Amazing food, amazing service. Really cool place to eat and have a beer ?? But compared to Costa Rica it is expensive.. you could get a huge piece of fresh Mahi, rice, beans, salad and other fixins there for a little over $9… but alas.. we live in California.. But do not hesitate to eat here at Andrias. It is a classic and a must if you are in Ventura!“
“Stumbled upon this place by accident. Was actually thinking of walking out. However, I decided to give it a shot & I’m glad I did. It was on a Sunday afternoon, Karaoke Sundays. They had some good singers, which turned up the vibe. I had their Avocado Taco & Camaron a la Diabla and it was delicious. Fresh and just the right flavor. Waiters were very attentive.“
“Eating on the water's edge! Best scenery around -- sunset is always gorgeous here! ? This last time we dined was for Valentine's Day. The special menu was spot on! One of the best steaks we've had in a long time-- and our fish dish -- cooked perfectly! Our go-to anytime they are offering a special menu. And the ? handed to us upon being seated was a special touch!Vegetarian options: On special menus there is always a vegetarian offering. The chef, Alex, understands vegan requirements and will accommodate your needs.Parking: Lots of parking.“
“The view is spectacular and the food is very good. On Monday the special is $5 each for fish tacos or a Margarita. My friend left her jacket and the owner offered to mail it to her.Great place to go for a nice lunch, and it was not terribly busy.“
“This hotel has obviously been remodeled relatively recently. It still looks new. Staff at check-in were pleasant, efficient, thorough and very accommodating. The room we had was amazingly comfortable. It was big, well appointed, very clean, and had one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept on. One of my bugaboos about hotels is the air conditioning. This unit was fantastic - easy to set, very reliable, and the fan made just the right amount of noise to provide that marvelous "white noise sleep." Because the lounge was closed, instead of a continental breakfast in the lounge due to our Elite status, we were treated to a full order off the menu breakfast. It was a really good pork green chili omelet. My only complaint would be that there is a $16 charge for parking. A little strange, but that's life these days. We will be coming back to Venture and will be choosing this Marriott as our hotel.“
“Unfortunately, the Delmonico steak special was not good. Difficult to cut and chew. My wife gave me a hard time for ordering steak in a seafood restaurant, but if you're going to offer the steak, it should be on par with the seafood. My wife loved her sea bass.“
