We've rounded up Victorville's top Mexican spots for you to try.
“I've eaten here a number of times and the service is great it's consistent and the food is excellent might be the best burger I've had since I lived in Los Angeles 15 years ago there's definitely not another Burger better in the high desert“
“I came after Church and was hungry. My husband and myself had never been here before. We asked our server some questions and she gave us a few great recommendations. I went with the wet green chili burrito and the hubby went with a small serving of pastrami chilli cheese fries. It was more than enough. So much so we had to take our leftover home. I’ll surly be back .“
“Paulina's is fantastic! First time there was tonight,12/27/23. While driving back from making our donations to the Las Vegas Casinos we were starving for some good Mexican food.I googled who has the best Mexican food in Victorville, CA, since it was almost the half way point back to Los Angeles. Paulina's was the top TripAdvisor recommendation for 2023, so we stopped.I had the fish tacos, my husband had the shrimp enchiladas. The food was amazing! Jose, our waiter, was so nice and friendly to us, as if he had known us for years. The restaurant has a formal date night vibe with red table cloths, brown leather booths, and a beautiful giant chandelier in the center of the restaurant. It is unbelievability clean, you can tell they care a lot about their restaurant.Definitely will return, it our new Vegas-bound road trip spot. You must check Paulina's out!“
“The staff was so nice! The food was very yummy! I had the potato Taco and esquite and my husband had the asada Taco plate and we got the happy hour Chicken Nachos and everything was so good! I love the cilantro rice and the chips and salsa were delicious too! We were happy and full when we left. Definitely recommend!!!!“
“I had a bowl of menudo with the fixings and a drink at a very reasonable price. The menudo was excellent and had a lot of meat. As you walk in, based on the aroma of the food, you know it's going to be good. I would definitely recommend this place.“
“First time eating birrieria and let me say, that was absolutely delicious! Will definitely be returning to this place often! Just a heads up they run out of food quickly so place your orders ahead of time if necessary!Parking: Difficult to find parking, don't park behind the building there's a lot of bums around there.“
“This place is always good. The Carne asada is fire, their Cali burrito is top tier especially with the green sauce. The posole is comforting and tastes like it was made with love!! 10/10. I've dropped most mex places for THIS spot. And they have things for picky kids too. Like quesadillas, taquitos, or even chicken nuggies and fries. Love the workers here and the spot is always clean and cared for .“
“My party of six has been in town for two weeks on business -- we've eaten out quite a bit in Victorville and Barstow. I picked this restaurant and it was awesome. Our large party was seated promptly with no wait time and our drink and appetizer orders promptly taken. The waitress was great - when we joked about getting bigger chip and salsa containers because we were famished and had emptied the first one so quickly, she quickly brought out a much larger size of both, much to the amusement of our party. The salsa was great, not too runny and very fresh and the chips were perfect and warm. The food came out and it was all good - there were several comments about how Miguel's was the best restaurant we'd dined at on our trip. I enjoyed the three item combo a lot. When the bill came, I thought there was some sort of mistake -- two beers, dinner and tax were so cheap, especially for California. We all left impressed and full!“
“My go-to place at least 3 times a month. Food and service is great. Margaritas are fantastic. If you have ever been to Javiers in Vegas .... PVs is right there in the form of drinks. If you want quality drinks you'll get what you pay for. The service has always been great. Management is friendly and you're treated like family. I would give it 10 stars if possible.“
“Dining at Mariscos Los Buzos is an experience that takes your taste buds on a delightful journey to the heart of Nayarit's coastal cuisine. My visit was marked by the indulgence in their shrimp empanadas, which were nothing short of a culinary masterpiece. The perfectly crisp outer layer encased a sumptuous filling of succulent shrimp, harmoniously melded with oozing, melted cheese, creating a symphony of flavors that danced on the palate. The highlight of the meal, however, was the "Molcajete El Buzo." This Nayarit-style marvel was a treasure trove of seafood delights, boasting an opulent assortment of crab legs, shrimp, langostino, and mussels, each element cooked to perfection, preserving its unique taste and texture. The molcajete's generous portion is a testament to the restaurant's commitment to abundance, easily satisfying two patrons with the promise of leftovers to reminisce the experience at home. While the culinary experience was near flawless, the ambiance of Mariscos El Buzo was slightly marred by the volume of the music, which, albeit adding a vibrant energy to the setting, was a tad overpowering for those who prefer a quieter dining environment. Despite this minor setback, the service was commendable, with attentive staff ensuring a pleasant dining experience throughout the visit. In essence, Mariscos El Buzo offers a sublime escape into the flavors of the Mexican coast, making it a must-visit for seafood aficionados. The combination of delectable dishes, ample portions, and cordial service, albeit with a lively soundtrack, makes for a memorable culinary adventure.“
“Literally a hole in a wall place that you need to pay attention in order to get there. Service was excellent (I wish that I had tipped our server more!) The food was good but pricey and the amount depending on what you order is either large or small.“
“This place is by far one of the best tasting spot I have tried in the high desert. Flavor was there from the tacos , burrito to the birria ramen. Freaking good! Ask for cheese as I will next time I go. Only down side I can say was the amount of meat I got in my burrito it was more rice than anything after the 1st bite but good. Will come back also recommend you try it out!“
“Came for the first time on my birthday, best aguachiles we have had in a while. Not many spots can get the spicy and enjoyable part right. The red wet burrito had a surprisingly delicious with its Smokey flavor, we usually get green wet burritos when we try Mexican food. It was beyond words at the new flavors. We also had the chilaquiles with steak. Again we are picky when it comes to these since not many places can get them looking or tasting authentic. We will definitely be coming again, service was amazing and the horchata?! By far the best we have had as well . Meal was definitely made with love and dedication. Only thing I would change would be the chips when we arrived, a bit greasy taste for my liking. Husband liked them though so we can say they were 5/10 . Aside from that it was a taste bud adventure.“
“Enjoyed my lunch so much. The chicken was the best have had in a restaurant in years. And the rest of the "fit" plate was great. Looking forward to returning soon. Your waitresses were wonderful attending to their regular duties and our separate group.“
“Been trying to find a good breakfast burrito spot up here since we have moved. I decided to try this place , since it was less than a mile away. I called over the phone to place and order within 10 mins it was ready. I was greeted right away once I walked in. Looks to be family owned, very friendly. Place was clean. The burrito had chunks of steak which I enjoyed and the salsa was great. The size is bigger than most burritos I’ve tried which is a plus. It had great taste aswell.I’m looking forward to trying other dishesThank you !“
“Was doing laundry next door and kept smelling the most delicious smell in the parking lot, followed my nose to here and the man was sooo sweet and helpful and omg the food was AMAZING!!! Especially the consume and birria tacos. Omg. My mouth is watering just writing this review.“
“Believe me when i tell you this is the best spot for amazing mexican food. The carnitas and cueritos are the best I've had since down the hill or mexico. It was so tasty and full of flavor. The burritos, tacos, and quesadillas are on point. They have a bar with fresh made, great tasting salsas and fixings (the purple picked onion OMG). There's always a line, but ladies at the front are hard working, friendly, and fill orders effectively and quickly. The establishment is small, so seating is limited, but it's always been clean the times we've gone. The potions are huge and everything is fresh fresh fresh. Takeout has always tasted amazing, and reheating is equally delicious. So order plenty to go because you're definitely going to want seconds!“
“It's one of those smaller places where you walk up to order, not a lot of tablespoon enough, so about the food and cater, and even the food is great. Agreed place to come for a quick bite. Or connect to the order you can't go wrong the food is “
“Have eaten here +/- 25-times.. They have NEVER MISSED!! Always delishes, made fresh to order and friendliest of service everytime!!Everytime we visit Apple Valley and Hesperia, it's a must stop!! Menudo, cabesa tacos, pasole always on point!!Wheelchair accessibility: Yes“
“So I would love to rate them higher, the main dishes are good, I had diabla shrimp and my fiance had the enchiladas, no complaints. It's really the salsa, beans, and rice that need a reworking for me. I'm told it's more traditional how they have it by my fiance but definitely not to my liking. The beans had no flavor nor did the rice which was also on the dry side. The salsa is decent but maybe offer spicier options?“

“I adored this place ... after a few days around the ocean I needed something more real, and this restaurant gave me great great food and a lot of character. I arrived very early on a cold morning ... it was chilly inside, but the server was warm. I thought the chilaquiles was the best thing I ate in socal during my 4 day trip from Ohio. Thank you!“
