“We live a few short blocks away…. lucky us. This is a wonderful addition to our neighborhood. Food is delicious. Their fajitas are delicious. And happy hour is a definite treat.Parking: Some spots right in front of restaurant. And revere is street parking depending on times.“
“With the California sun warming my back while riding, I knew it was the perfect day for a light and delicious snack. Guisados in West Hollywood hit the spot perfectly! I opted for a shrimp taco and a fish taco, and both were bursting with flavor. The fresh ingredients and perfectly cooked seafood.“
“Yo mama don't cook like this.Tu Madre is a cute little taqueria just off of Santa Monica, with absolutely amazing food. We ordered an array of tacos, all of which impressed:Fried Chicken: 9/10Sweet N Sour Chicken: 8/10Crispy potato: 10/10Crispy fish: 9/10KBBQ street taco: 10/10Carne Asada: 8/10Brisket: 8/10I've previously ordered food from Tu Madre via a delivery app and the food is equally as good. The one warning I'll give for the tacos is that they aren't the biggest portions, and they're served on individual plates. If you have a small table, you may run out of space if you order enough tacos to be satisfied. In addition to the large selection of tacos, they have an equally diverse drink menu. They offer margaritas by the pitcher, flight, and glass. If you order the flights, they come with a sparkler (as I said, the place is cute) for your social media memories. If you're not in a margarita mood, they also offer other cocktails and a sad selection of beer. I got a Madre Passion, which was spectacular, and my partner ordered a Deeply Rooted Issues, which was very citrusy.Tu Madre would be well on its way to five stars if it weren't for one thing. Service can be slow, which is the reason for dropping a star on the overall rating. I noticed the speed of service depended on where you sat. Unfortunately for us, we weren't at an advantageous table. I think we talked to our real server once. He didn't take our order, bring the food, or help us with the check. He checked in once or twice, but that was it. Thankfully, we were heading someplace else after dinner and didn't want a second drink. Otherwise, we might still be sitting there.Overall, go to Tu Madre for the food. Or, if you live close enough, order via a delivery app and enjoy the food without the annoyance of being ignored.“
“When they had a physical, dine in restaurant, they deserved 5 stars for that. Their food is really good and they are all very friendly. Had to get the socks. I’d never, ever wear socks with any other restaurant logo on them.Steve is a great guy, very friendly and upbeat, always welcoming my offbeat self.“
“My neighborhood go-to place to satisfy my Mexican food cravings for over 25 years. I love the chili rellanos and enchiladas, while my son always orders the chicken burrito "wet," slathered in red sauce. Beware the green sauce that has a good kick. A little bit is all you need.Vegetarian options: Chili rellanos, rice, beans, quesadillas, and more vegetarian friendly options.Parking: Free open lot in mini-strip mall makes it easier to get in and out than other places in the area.“
“Simply the BEST el pollo I’ve ever visited (& I visit a lot). The most caring and sincere staff (Ofelia, Daniel, David & Jackie are always the sweetest of people-I eat here daily). The food is quality and the prices are fair. The restaurant is always super clean. Thank you for being such a great place to visit. The BEST!!!!“
“Casa Madera is now my new favorite brunch spot in LA. The atmosphere is phenomenal and the views from the rooftop are spectacular. The DJ/music is a great touch. I ordered the omelette and the waffle and it was the perfect mix of savory and sweet. Wine list is great. I will definitely be coming back!“
“Fantastic food, friendly and helpful staff, super chill vibe. Would 100% come back next time I'm in town. Loved it wholeheartedly.Vegetarian options: I can only speak to my girlfriends food but we're very happy with the options.“
“Love the pineapple agua fresca.Great service.Three oyster options.Half a dozen oysters = $28Intriguing abs quite good green apple and striped bass ceviche.20% Automatic gratuity added.Tacos were all great—a little larger than street tacos.“
“Great vegan restaurant in Melrose. The food has plenty of flavor and tastes fresh. Prices during happy hour are very affordable, and it’s a great for big groups to share bites and drinks. Atmosphere is nice, especially outdoors on the patio. The highlight of the evening for me was the olive oil brownie — a must try!“
