“the elvis vanilla shake was amazing. we had the country fried steak(could be a little more crispy) and patty melt. everything was tasted great. Definitely coming back!!!”
“It is a cute diner off of the I15. . There is a small outside patio. This was a great spot to stop on our way back from Vegas. Service was fast, was not crowded and the food is reasonably priced and tastes exactly like a cute little roadside diner should. I think it gets overshadowed by it's touristy neighbor down the street off of the same exit called Peggy Sue's. Which is great for us. This will be our new stopping place on our way back from our annual desert camping trip.”
“A true traditional bar! I don't know how old it is, but it's...intimate. Mr Lee, the proprietor, is a young elder who serves mostly locals and passersby. We enjoyed Vodka Sodas and Modelo Beers while chatting about the area and our trip in Vegas. The bathroom needs a face-lift. A charming bar indeed.”
“If you're looking for lunch in Calico, Old Miners Cafe is definitely the best choice. There were two other restaurants when I visited Calico, but this place had the largest selection. The hot dogs are grilled, not boiled. The fried pickles and zucchini are DELISH! Turkey burger was also full of flavor. Lots of patio seating available with views that are just spectacular. Service was friendly! I highly recommend Old Miners Cafe as the top choice for getting food in this old mining ghost town!”
“No joke, this place was the reason why we stumbled across calico ghost town. We came in for a beer, but decided to have wings and pizza. Monique was great, she was helpful and friendly and let us sample some of the beers before we made a choice. Now the food. Literally, this is some of the best pizza and wings I've ever had. Mike, the man behind these amazing creations, really knows whats up. The pizza was crispy, fluffy and cheesy and absolutely amazing. The lemon pepper wings were hands down spectacular. Also very crispy, well seasoned and delicious. I'd come back here just to eat the food and would be happy to make the drive here for this sole purpose. If you're in the area or passing through, make sure you do youself a favor and stop in and see Mike and Monique. You won't be sorry!”
“All the employees are very nice and the food is always fresh.Parking: Plenty of space even for RV's. There's also a dirt lot next door that trucks can park at for easy access to Jack in the box.Wheelchair accessibility: There is disability parking in front and a ramp.”
“The service here was peaceful. The food was delicious especially after having been on the road for over an hour to get here on a Saturday. They have an outside sitting patio but we preferred to stay inside the restaurant. It's a nice place to sit down and eat.”
“Located inside Eddie World. We ordered a hot chocolate and ice vanilla latte before heading back on the road. There was only one barista here and service didn't take that long. Both drinks tasted good.”
“Very nice place with a great beer selection, tasty food, and excellent service. My buddy and I went there and had 2 small pizzas and 4 beers, and the bill was $70 (not including tip). Not bad... but considering it's a little far from the strip or downtown, it isn't a place we'll go very often at that price.”
“1-20-22The two gentleman working were kind and courteous. I have never had someone actually care how the sandwich looked, until today. The person making my sandwich carefully layered each item and actually cut the tomatoes in half for me when I said light tomatoes (without asking). I was very wish washy with what toppings I wanted and yet he was very patient. If I’m ever back through and wanting subway I will be looking for the same guy!”
“Not sure of his name, but the gentleman who worked both the gas station and the Dairy Queen is amazing. We have never been to a Dairy Queen with this level of kindness before. Yermo will forever be our new pitstop when we are traveling through the area.”
“The quesadilla was full of meat and cheese. The fries are crispy and the burger was tasty! They are so friendly too! The chef even shared a Reese's peanut butter cup with me! The chicken strips were great for my picky son too!! If you are travel weary this is a great place! And I saw they had an A for food handling so even though it's in a gas station you have nothing to fear!”
“I came here for the first time today. I wanted to try someplace new because it was my birthday and this place had great reviews. Well, let me tell you, the reviews are spot on. The Mother and Son team are so nice and courteous and the food is excellent. I can definitely see why they sell out early. I'll absolutely be visiting this establishment more often.FYI , they are cash only but there is an ATM at the local store down the street.”
