Every single plate was better than the last. The albondigas a la feria were amazing and so tenderly cooked (we ordered them with every round) and the cogollos salad was bright and delicious.
The ambiance and overall service of Coqueta is outstanding, but the food quality just didn't measure up to Bottega, it's sister restaurant. We had octopus and seafood paella and the seafood in general was overcooked and lacked flavor. One OUTSTANDING dish was the Croquetas de Pollo - and we agreed at the table that we could have eaten those all night long. Also, the flan and churros were amazing. You can smell this place walking on the street. Their wood fire grill is the first thing you notice and the kitchen is open to the atmosphere. We couldn’t resist the 32 oz tomahawk rib eye. They bring it out to you before slicing. Perfect medium rare and well seasoned. Good cocktail bar as well. Seemed like service could have been more prompt but everyone was very nice. Definitely recommend.
