“This place is a local favorite for good reason. The service is fast, efficient, and friendly, the food is great and served in plentiful portions, the prices are very reasonable (especially for Boulder) and you always feel at home even though it’s usually crowded and loud.Parking: At peak times, there aren’t usually spots available in the lot and you have to instead park on the street. Often, it’s necessary to park a block away. At off-peak times, parking isn’t an issue.“
“The experience was wonderful! Drinks were great, food was fantastic! The sunchokes were my favorite part and were absolutely delicious! What a unique dish! The gnocchi was good, but not better than any other restaurants gnocchi. The salmon dinner was out of this world! Lamb chops were good as well, but not exactly what we were expecting. They were cooked almost like pot roast, but was very delicious and super tender. The only part of the meal that was less than underwhelming was the chocolate cherry dessert. It was dry and gritty, and not fudgey like most other chocolate tortes I've had. Would have gone with another dessert if any others were gluten free. The service was excellent and fun, and the drinks (and drink suggestions) were on point! Great experience all around for a decent price for the quality of the food! Would recommend for a special date or holiday, and we will absolutely be back!“
“My breakfast burrito was excellent! Premade burritos were available immediately, my burrito took ~5 minutes to make.Dietary restrictions: I’m lactose intolerant so they made me a fresh burrito (since they make their eggs with milk) and it was delicious!“
“This is a review of the brewery tour. We were told to refer to the beer guide as Joey "Hot Sauce", so I will refer to him as such under my own discretion. This was by far one of the best beer tours that I have ever received. This brewery tour was a journey that embarked on being casually informative backed by unrelenting enthusiasm. Joey is a very relatable guy that you can easily mistake as your best beer friend since he is a quick-witted connoisseur who makes any Q&A session enjoyable. This facility is neat, organized, and even contains a fermentation lab tucked away upstairs to tease onlookers that whoever is in there has a much better job than you might. I feel like the beer selection is ever-changing and adapts to the crowd that meets it. Couldn't have asked for a better beer tasting hosted by none other than Joey "Hot Sauce".“
“It was cool to revisit Jax Fish House after many years away and be reminded of just why they've been such an important pillar of Boulder's restaurant community for decades. The bright and breezy atmosphere is just as welcoming as ever and our jovial server handled our table of 8 with ease. Everything from oysters and mussels to the calamari and craft cocktails were truly firing on all cylinders. A couple of missteps were present however; as the peel & eat shrimp were quite tough and rubbery, while the gumbo cheese fries need a complete reimagining. The gumbo (although delicious) is much too watery at the bottom of the plate and make the fries too soggy to be enjoyable. These small complaints hardly necessitate lowering the five star rating, as human error must always be taken into account and no kitchen is infallible. Their ongoing efforts in championing sustainable seafood should never be left out of the conversation, though it unfortunately is at so many similar establishments. Jax Fish House & Oyster Bar is simply some of the best seafood I have ever found in Colorado, and has been for decades. That kind of consistency isn't just rare, it's virtually non-existent in the restaurant industry. Load me up another bowl of chowder please.“
“This restaurant has the best pizza I have ever had in my life!!!! You HAVE to get the pizza called “the goat” it was SO good and had fun and unique toppings. The atmosphere is very fun and quirky! I would return here every time I’m in Colorado!“
“The RANG TANG Bbq truck is amazing, There are a number of fresh yummy choices! Have to say I think I enjoyed (sharing) a gorgeous fresh salad with baby lettuce, feta, pecans, pickeled onion & probably a couple more additions the most. My plate had a little pulled pork and a couple slices of beef brisket- the sauces were awesome and the slaw was terrific. A lot of food, but they have to go containers so enjoyed the meal twice- in the best way!!Loved the warm sunny outdoor eating area arranged around a fire pit resembling a camp fire. Picnic style tables have umbrellas, so you have option of shade. And there is an enclosed tent in case the wind or temperature is a little less welcoming. Also enjoyed getting to love on some well behaved, leashed dogs! All in all a great place to go!Vegetarian options: Wonderful salad at the BBQ truck as well as an amazing mac & cheese and SO NOT your typical slaw. Wish I had taken pictures. Vegetarians will definitely be happy- yes, even at a BBQ truck! L.R.'s chef skills will make you think you are dining at a fine restaurant- not a food truck! SERIOUSLY!Parking: Just drive down & around that long building and there is plenty more parking at the back.“
“We came here for a birthday breakfast due to the hostess saying there were many vegan options. However, the “plant power” section is exclusively vegetarian, not vegan. Luckily, our server Nicole was phenomenal and had personal knowledge for what could be made vegan. We had a tofu scramble with avocado, mushrooms, and peppers. We also had the tacos with a lot removed and avocado and soyrizo added. Finally, we had the vegan pancakes (already vegan on the menu, not in the plant power section). We all enjoyed the dishes, especially the pancakes (including the non-vegans).I might come back for food, but I do wish they would have clearly labeled vegan options here. It’s Boulder, it’s 2024, so having more than one option that is clear and doesn’t require a lot of customization and guesswork to make vegan would be awesome. Beyond that, the service and environment were exceptional.Vegetarian options: There is a vegetarian menu and there are great vegan pancakes. Overall, not the easiest place to eat vegan. I’d recommend asking for Nicole’s advice if you need help eating vegan here.“
“Great breakfast spot. There was no line when we got there on a Saturday morning (rare for Boulder) and the staff was super friendly and attentive. Food was awesome and loved the mix of classic breakfasts and Mexican options. Pancakes were HUGE and really tasty. Breakfast enchiladas were well worth it and we will be back to try more.“
“Love Flower Child!! My husband and I decided to try it for a healthy lunch on our trip through CO. Wow! It did not disappoint! Everything was excellent, we loved it so much that we came back a second time the next day. There’s really no wrong selection and there’s something for everyone. I do highly recommend the lemon cakes though. :)“
“I've taken my younger toddler here for breakfast a few times and had a great experience each time. The staff were extremely friendly and gave my son a lot of attention! They gave us toys to play with and were so kind. The food is great, too!“
“went in last night. wanted to try out the new place. SO GOOD! also, incredibly friendly staff and owner. he even gave my kid a pizza delivery stuffed animal to take home. woke up today literally wanting to go back. will be back often. glad you're in boulder!“
“Every time I eat here, it’s like a home cooked meal. The eggs are free range, the coffee’s organic, and they have plenty of variety if I’m not game for a traditional breakfast...There’s the standards, which keep ‘em coming back, and then substitutions like gluten free, oat milk, all the important Boulder things. It’s a relief to find somewhere that has vegetarian sausages! and Of course they figured out the best recipe in town for gluten free pancakes with real maple syrup! What’s also a treat is they always have an authentic Nepalese selection because half the staff are from Pokhara, Nepal. If you love chai, they’ve got it down! This is the quintessential diner, a Boulder icon. There’s even photos of traditional diners in some of the booths. What a treat. Completely eclectic diner decor with gorgeous metal photographs for sale on the walls. And to top it off…The wait staff couldn’t be kinder and more accommodating.“
“Bitter Bar is a local favorite. The drinks are inspired and made by legit mixologists with a passion for the constantly changing diverse world of spirits. The Cabin Fever, I Think Olive You and Hadi's Hibiscus are 3 cocktails that standout in my memory as outstanding. I always learn something when I come here. The ambiance is cool.. dark room with cool light installations, great taste in decor. Definitely check this place out! Keim is the bartender in the photograph, drink his concoctions!“
“Found this coffee shop on Yelp & what a cute little place! Loved that there were big windows with beautiful views of the mountains. The coffee was delicious, it has that tangy taste that I love. The breakfast was also delish. I loved that my brioche sandwich was made with boiled eggs, very different but so yum! Anytime I'm back in this area, I will be returning!“
“Food was amazing! Get the lobster roll!!! Well worth the money. The caramel appletini, chefs kiss! Grace was superb! Nothing worse than going into a new restaurant and the server hasn’t tried anything and can’t offer recommendations. Grace’s recommendations were spot on!“
“The Boulder Cork offers a top-notch dining experience with its delicious food and inviting atmosphere. The menu boasts a variety of high-quality steaks and seafood dishes, all expertly prepared and bursting with flavor. The ambiance is warm and welcoming, perfect for a special night out or a casual dinner with friends. The service is attentive and professional, ensuring a memorable dining experience. If you're looking for exceptional food and service in Boulder, The Boulder Cork is a must-try!“
“Amazing!!You will have a hard time finding better food or service than at the Greenbriar. Not just in Boulder but pretty much anywhere. They have a great team there! The chefs, staff, and all the way to the owners are extraordinary. It is a hidden gem nestled in the foothills of Colorado. If you haven’t got out there I 100% recommend you do!! Talk about magic and the joy it brought the kiddo. It was worth any price and if you look at all you get it’s very reasonable.“
“I really enjoyed the set up at Twisted Pine brewery. I ordered the golden wings and omnivore to eat. Really loved the wings. The sauce was very tasty! Wish I had ordered more. Really enjoyed the big shot coffee brew and the cerise was pretty good. Couldn’t taste much cherry in the cerise but it’s all good. Plenty of seating available. Nice place to watch sports and get a drink and some food. It’s nice to order at the counter at your own pace and not have someone ask you every 5 minutes if you need another one. ReallyEnjoyed the ambiance and vibe.“
“One of the best local, fine dining experiences I've had. Last night, my wife and I visited for our wedding anniversary. The staff made us feel special and like they were invested in our celebration. They toasted us with champagne and decorated our desserts with happy anniversary messaging. Above and beyond customer service. Food was exceptional all night during every course. Highly recommend ??“
“Small restaurant in a strip mall trending older, local, and regulars for customer-base which is not dissimilar of other places in Gunbarrel. Space is broody and comfortable with friendly staff. Food and drinks were fine, nachos are about $1 a chip on happy hour which doesn’t seem too, too happy. Calamari was bad. Overall seemed like it could use a good revamp.“
“We have been coming here from almost 20 years. Very disappointed with the change of new ownership, less food, and prices increased. Took my daughter here for breakfast yesterday and the bill came to $53 after tip for the two of us to have breakfast and coffee.“
“The burgers were delicious: juicy and done, yet crispy on the outside. The cheese was melty and gooey. Paired perfect with a brioche bun, mayo, pickles, bbq sauce, and bacon. The onions ring were thickah than a snickah (which is how an onion ring should be in my opinion), and that batter is sweet and so crunchy. We weren’t rushed to order, and food came out hot, fast, correct, and exceeded expectations. This was the first time my fiance’ and I were in, but it certainly won’t be the last! Next time we’re saving room for a shake!“
“We stumbled on the Attic Bar & Bistro because we parked on the outskirts of town and saw it while we were walking into town. It was a Sunday night, and we were looking for somewhere to celebrate my 60th birthday with some burgers and a couple drinks. It does not look like much from outside, but we were pleasantly surprised once we started climbing the stairs. Cool artwork on the walls, laid back atmosphere, old-time rock n roll from my era playing, pool tables, and the bartender and waiter were great. We had some burgers that were good and drinks at a table overlooking the street. Cool place to chill and catch dinner. We enjoyed ourselves.“
“Probably the cheapest full meal you can buy in boulder! You don't have to be a student to get a bowl full of protein rich food and veggies of your choice for $5 here. It is however only open when school's in session. There's a small parking fee or you can park a 10-minute walk away. Limited hours, best for breakfast.“
“Love this place, hope it stays around forever. Have been coming here since there was a pool table, and Banshee Tree played swing music every Saturday. The bar is counter-service only (at least Th-S) which can make it feel impersonal, but the bartenders are on point and seldom keep you waiting overly long to order. Working a volume cocktail bar can be hella stressful so I don't take instances of brusqueness personally. That said, it's hard not to be disappointed by a $20 sidecar that fell short of the mark, both literally (room left in the coupe glass) and tastefully. Refrained from a complaint because it was fairly busy and I didn't want to be that guy...Comedy + Live Music on the weekends, in legit 1 of 2 of the only real neo-speak/cocktail bars in Boulder. Come through, be nice, tip well, and have a good timeShouts out to Monica the G.O.A.T. who has yet to make me a drink that didn't surpass expectation“
“This is my new go to spot for brunch, lunch, happy hour, dinner, and drinks. All around the staff, atmosphere, and food are too notch. It’s a must hit for the Highlands. Favorites are the brunch toasts, elevators cocktail, and steak dinner. And don’t miss the new daily specials!“
“Called here and was told it could be about an hour of a wait . After going on a walk we later returned and as it was really cold staff let us stand under the heaters which was very good of them . Shortly after we were seated and what followed had to one of the best Dinners we ever had . Real Italian Food served in generous portions by top class staff . A great night out in a great Restaurant“
“My wife and I celebrated our 9th anniversary last night and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel special. From the moment we walked in every staff wished us a happy anniversary. Our garçon was kind, funny, and extremely attentive I wish I remembered his name but he was a young black man maybe mid 20s? Absolutely the best. I was getting cold and he brought me a shawl and I am a notoriously messy eater and he brought me extra napkins. The food was superb. We had a four course meal and eat meal looked like a work of art. The food tasted like an the Demeter the Greek Goddess of harvest made it herself. Overall 10/10 would recommend. Coming here is our new anniversary tradition.“
