When in the Boulder/Denver area, I try to stay at The Renaissance. At the end of a long day, I can grab a salad and an adult beverage and decompress. When there's a bit of a chill in the air, and the fireplace is going, it's a great atmosphere. The staff is attentive and friendly. They also have a solid wine list and plenty of spaces to have a private conversation.
We ate here for the brunch buffet! We loved the made to order omelets or eggs! Every time I go to a hotel bar for drinks, it reminds me why I don't miss busoness travel. Really, could these places have less character and atmosphere. Don't get me wrong, if you are staying the staff were great and the drinks delivered promptly to our table. Don't go out of your way to stop off for drinks.
