My corned beef hash omelette was delicious and came quickly. My husband ate all of his chicken fried steak and eggs. Toast came with homemade jam which was a lovely touch. Service was good despite a busy crowd. Easy to find street parking on a Monday morning. Great breakfast spots and we hope to be back!

Mountain Shadows Restaurant is a converted house right on the main street in Old Colorado Springs. It's cozy and comfortable. In warmer weather the restaurant has outdoor seating.Food is delicious with lots of options. I recommend the Alamosa Omelette made with local chorizo and diced peppers.Pro tip: Come early so you can get one of their giant cinnamon rolls. The rolls come in full or half size - a half size is more than enough for two people to share.Pro local tip: Check out the farmer's market across the street every Saturday from June-September.

Fabulous local neighborhood diner. Featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. Everything is homemade including the jelly. Unbelievable chicken fried steak. Incredible cinnamon rolls. Famous Five Star Diner.

The servings are huge and the staff is amazing. I didn't expect the pancake to be the size of the plate lol. Our waiter was amazing. I don't remember her name, but she had a bunch of tattoos. 10/10 service. Thank you for being on top of our drinks. We will be coming back.

Very good & affordable lunch. Especially the mesquite chicken BLT. Server Khim was very, very nice.

My absolute favorite breakfast spot in town. I don't usually even eat breakfast but I will drag myself out of bed and force an appetite just so I can eat here. I've been eating here since high school and have never been

The staff is super nice but the food is not good at all. I had a veggie omelet that was overwhelmed with a massive amount of green peppers that were hard (it was fresh though), the Hashbrowns were soggy and the toast was cold. Everything else was underwhelming.

This restaurant came highly recommended by a friend. I had the barbecue chicken sandwich and was not impressed. The chicken had a texture similar to canned tuna . My wife enjoyed her meal, so we'll go back and try it again on our next trip to Cades Cove.
We went on a Thursday meeting and it was slow but the service was friendly, fast and the portions were huge. An eclectic Colorado Springs treasure for sure.

The restaurant itself is very cute and our waitress took good care of us. My husband ordered the huevos rancheros which was very good. HOWEVER, we came specifically for the "famous" giant cinnamon roll and I was greatly disappointed. Imagine someone rolled out sandwich bread, sprinkled plain cinnamon on it and rolled it up, then topped it with the most basic icing made of powdered sugar and milk. It was dry and flavorless. We shared maybe a quarter of it before throwing away. Perhaps we caught them on a bad day but I certainly wouldn't recommend this place for their cinnamon rolls.

God bless the grass that the dairy cows ate so they could make the sweet cream that went on my heavily sugared cinnamon bun. would give it 6 stars, but google restricts my opinions.
