When you are in Colorado Springs check out Paravicini's Italian bistroI was very impressed with the food here.We started with a small bread loaf that came with balsamic vinegar and extra virgin olive oil. It was not heat hot but no problem.Check out the salt and pepper shaker. Twist to the right for pepper twist to the left for salt. VERY coolThe arancini was made with a white pesto-like sauce. The flavor was fresh and clean. The meatballs were off the chart. They were an appetizer special. Wow !! That gravy and cheese. The meatballs looked dry but they weren't laying under all of that luxury. Also seen was the bolognese and a chicken Parmesan that was scratch-made. Look at that thin chicken and that real deal crust. Very good. I added a little salt to my chicken parmesan, but I like a little more salt than usual. The homemade tiramisu was in a top five that I've ever had. The lady fingers were probably homemade. The mascarpone cheese was airy and the coffee flavor was not overly pungent. The chocolate shavings and sauce finished it out.The Caesar salad was the only thing that was standard fare.$140 for 2 with tip no alcohol. The waitress was great and was supportive but not patronizing. She truly cared about what was going on. The manager came by also to check on things. The attention to detail was impeccable. As seen on Diners Drive-Ins and dives. And it was worth it.

Really mediocre Italian food. Pasta was out of a box and sauce was acidic and unbalanced. Chicken parm felt reheated instead of fresh and crispy. Bread appeared to be made in house, but was brought to the table as a cold brick. Shrimp, however, was cooked perfectly, salads were on par, and tiramisu was light and delicious. Decent wine list as well. Sad that the pasta was so underwhelming. We will not be back.

This once staple of on the west side has gone downhill since COVID. The food is now consistently terrible. We miss the old Paravicins so much that every few months we get try it again. Last night we went back, I ordered the special (scallops over linguine in a lemon sauce) and it was awful. One bite would be terribly bitter. The next weirdly sweet like licorice, and then a couple of bites were spicy. The pasta was basically dry with some liquid in the bottom of the bowl. My husband always gets the tortellini carbonara, and he says as of late, it lacks flavor and requires a lot of salt.A coupe of months ago, I ordered a red sauce dish also from the specials menu (don’t remember the details), and also didn’t eat it because it smelled bad and tasted worse. They serve this cold, dense lump of bread before the meal and each time have to tell you that this bread is a recipe from the chef’s grandmother and is supposed to be served this way. That would be fine if it was actually good, but if you have to convince me to like the food, it’s probably not that great. We used to love this restaurant so much! You used to walk in the door and be overwhelmed by the smell of delicious sauce simmering in the kitchen. This is no more, and it’s so sad.

We asked via OpenTable for a quiet booth for celebrating our anniversary. Upon arrival, we were seated in the perfect spot. Michael took care of us very well the entire time. The wine, appetizer, salad, and entrees were all as advertised, and looked and tasted great.
