“Liz always hooks it up at Doc's! Don't be deterred that this is a food truck. There are benches outside, and this is some of the best food you can find in Cripple Creek. Better burgers than any casino or sit-down restaurant in miles! AMAZING value as well!”
“Great vibes, cozy bar n restaurant. I started with the fried pickle spears which were like fries and quiet good. Then ordered the house elk burger, cooked almost to medium. So good. The beer selection from Paradox is on point too.Servers were friendly and great as well. We'll def be back, hopefully to try the elk medallions.Kid-friendliness: Very accommodating.”
“We had dinner here. My hubby and I shared an order of the potato skins appetizer, ridiculously delicious! Then we ordered the patty melt with fries to split, unbelievable!!! The fries are the best I've had anywhere! I encourage you to try this place! What a hidden gem!!”
“We live 10 minutes from Cripple Creek and usually don't eat at any of the casinos unless a friend comes up, because the Mexican restaurant that we go to was closed, we chose to go here instead. Was not disappointed at all, food was very good!Prices are on the high side because it's mountain prices and in the casino, we spent over $100 on just food, no alcohol for three people. Add drinks, $150-200.The food was on point and portions are on point too.Vegetarian options: Yes grazers, they have salad. And they are very good as well.Dietary restrictions: Cheat day approved.Parking: If you can't find parking, you're not looking.Kid-friendliness: Check the menu, kids have their own section.Wheelchair accessibility: You can roll right in and hit the elevator to roll right up.”
“For an older place this one is nice. You feel like it’s an older restaurant. Our food was hot when it hit the table. The service was fast and waited was friendly. Keep in mind when you eat here it is an older building and the items inside (tables/chairs) are older too. I will eat here again.”
“This restaurant is located within the casino on the LL level. We went on a Saturday after visiting the ice castles when they were having a special deal ($15) on the prime rib. The mashed potatoes were amazing! The prime rib was a bit salty but a great deal for the price. We had the dumplings appetizer which was also great. Overall this place is a great deal with cheap but filling food. Recommend if you’re visiting Cripple Creek on a day trip.”
“This hotel is perfect for a weekend getaway. All of the staff, to include random service people, who we would see in elevators, ect were so welcoming. This hotel provides superior hospitality.”
“We are so lucky to have Salt Grass as an option for restaurants in Cripple Creek now. We live in Divide and will make the trip just for this place. The service is always top notch, the food is great and fresh. Everybody is so friendly that works here, it's super refreshing! Great job, team!”
“My husband and I stopped in, completely unaware that it was a German bakery. We ordered two sodas, peanut butter cookies and a pretzel with cheese dip.The cookies we took with us and they were delicious. The pretzel we had to wait for because they made it after we ordered it. It came out piping hot and was even better than the cookies. What a hidden gem!”
“Great bar burgers and typical local bar atmosphere.Staff is very friendly. We had the green chili burger, bacon burger, fries and onion rings. Patties were seared nicely and had lots of flavor. The onion rings are delicious, but a little skimpy on the serving sine it’s a $3 up charge from the fries which have a very good seasoning. The green chilis are slightly spicy for one of us and just right for the other. All in all, I would gladly eat here when I want a great burger.”
“Pulled pork sandwich with fries was tasty. Vegan gluten free brownie was delicious. Dude in the kitchen by himself was working hard. The lady in the gift shop was very attentive, friendly, and helpful.”
“I ordered a cheeseburger to go. It was actually pretty good however for the price, I would have expected it to have lettuce, tomato, & onion instead of just the 3 lonely pickle slices. I was really craving a burger, but probably won't eat there again for that reason.”
“They do not skimp on their breakfast burritos. The food was delicious and the coffee was one of the best we've ever had. Huckleberry Mocha and Dolce Caramel are definitely must try.”
