Yum, yum. I've had Detroit-style pizza just a few times and thought it was good, but the aptly-named Blue Pan takes it to a whole new level. The crust was caramelized as promised and just perfectly crispy, despite the thickness. It has a wonderful, buttery, savory flavor that complimented the toppings perfectly. Yum, yum. We tried the Rocky Mountain which included Blue Pan's delicious, spicy red sauce, pepperoni, Italian sausage, mixed bell peppers, red and green onions, Italian green olives, Sicilian oregano, and pecorino Romano. Whew! A great combination of flavors and all top-quality ingredients. The Detroit-style pizzas come as a four-piece personal serving for one or two people or an eight-piece large for two to four. There are 13 specialty varieties or you can create your own. Blue Pan also makes eight varieties of New York-style and two Chicago-style cracker crust. They do gluten-free options and there's even a kid's menu. There are some interesting appetizers including eggplant fries, meatballs, and arancini; a nice selection of salads; and a few sides. We shared a small (actually, huge) House salad which interestingly included fennel. The "small" was plenty for both of us (and a take-home box). I can't imagine what the "large" looks like. The salad was beautiful and delicious with an excellent house-made oregano vinaigrette. This is a really terrific neighborhood restaurant. You need to go there now!
What a fabulous Pie. Look no further. The ambiance and staff are top notch, just not as good as the pizza. What can I say, The Brooklyn Bridge on thin is the way to go for a slightly lighter side. I love the ricotta dabs. Hands down the bomb. If anyone would eat at a chain pizza joint you are selling yourself short. Please open a location in Phoenix, AZ.
If your are looking for excellent pizza... this is the place. Ate here twice in 4 days, because it was so good. Pizza, apps, beer and service are excellent. Live in Houston, and made sure to book a place close by for our next visit, so we can eat here again.
I came in here while I was pregnant. I ordered a pizza that had cured meat on it, which, thanks to pregnancy brain, I didn't realize until I got the pizza. Definitely an oversight on my part. For those of you not in the know, pregnant women aren't supposed to risk eating processed meat that hasn't been cooked due to the risk of listeriosis. I called the waiter back, apologized for my mistake, explained my predicament, and asked him if he could just send it back to the kitchen and zap it in the oven really quickly to cook the meat. He did, but then I overheard him mocking my request to a coworker. I waited a while to write this review because I wasn't sure if I was just being sensitive due to gestational hormones. Well, I'm not pregnant anymore and I still think it was BS. Pizza was good though! But I won't be back.
We got the pizza for takeout since my good friend kept raving how they had the best pizza around. I was worried perhaps she was talking it up but let me just say this was hands down the BEST Detroit style pizza I've ever had. Full of flavor. Perfect crust! Delicious! Wish we had gotten a larger size of the sweets pie but it was mouthwatering. We'll definitely visit again!
I had looked up this place before going to Denver for the first time. It was 100% the best choice for pizza. I took my sister-in-laws family and they loved it. We ordered a Brooklyn Bridge with extra cheese, a New York style cheese and an order of good dog (cheese bread) . Every single thing we made was amazing. The staff was attentive and drinks were refilled promptly. 5 out of 5 easy.
Rocky Mountain and salads
In Denver for work, googled best pizza and Blue Pan popped up first. I can see WHY!!!! OMG Becky!!!!!!!! It was so delish!!! I ordered a Greek salad...O!!! Old Dog (cheesYYYY bread)...M!!!! and the Brooklyn Bridge pizza...G!!!!! Come to Texas please!!!!!!
Really love their pizza! Wide selection of Detroit style pizza, but a number of New York and Chicago style offerings as well. Nice selection of draft beers. Very friendly and helpful wait staff. Definitely will be back. Best parking is in the lot at the adjacent corner.
There is a lot of hype surrounding Blue Pan Pizza…. Had to give it a try. It lived up to the hype. Dined in and the ambiance is good. They have some nice little Detroit touches like Faygo soda and Saunders hot fudge. Had a house salad that was great. A nice added touch was it had fresh fennel in it. On to the pizza… outstanding! Our server recommended we do Detroit style pizza that was half the Brooklyn Bridge and Parma Italia and both were awesome. Love the cupped pepperoni and sausage on the Brooklyn and the prosciutto/sopressa meat with chunks of burrata cheese on top of the Parma Italia. The service was excellent. I highly recommended Blue Pan Pizza!
Our experience here was awesome. First: Great options for gluten friendly/vegan eaters!! Second: everyone I interacted with provided great service. Tanner went above and beyond to walk out my gigantic order to my car—and he wasn’t even on the clock! Thank you Tanner!!! Definitely coming back
First time in Denver. Was craving pizza and this was our first stop from the airport. Heard good things and definitely did not disappoint. Plenty of beer. Even more food options. When we were done, we were already trying to figure out when we'd be back lol

My wife and I went here on the suggestion this might be the best pizza in Denver, so we needed to try this.Firstly, bring your appetite, detroit style pizza is thick.Secondly, this might be the best pizza I've ever had. It's a small restaurant, with the tables fairly close together and the seating area fairly small with a large bar. We ordered the Brooklyn bridge and it was all delicious. The first bite as you taste the combination of the crust and the sauce and meats and cheeses is a great flavor, the addition of ricotta piped onto the pizza adds a whole layer of delicious to the pizza and might have ruined other pizza for me.I'm sure I'll be back. The food and service was amazing!
I came here by recommendation and had the 4 pc Brooklyn Bridge Pizza, Detroit Style.Well, wow!Absolutely mouthwatering to look at, even better to eat. The combination of their pizza sauce with Italian sausage and ricotta simply works.Even better, my order came with a nice cold beer and very friendly service.I will be back soon!
