Fun & lively, Hop Ally is definitely a gem in the Denver food scene with a casual feel where the food speaks for itself. The menu showcases a variety of vegetable forward dishes with dynamic flavor combinations and generous portions. The N/A drink options are among the most intriguing and well executed in Denver.Something to note is that it is very loud. If you are easy overwhelmed by noise, this might not be the place for you. Will definitely recommend to anyone I know visiting Denver.

The first time I dined at Hop Alley, it was a phenomenal experience. Now, after having been there multiple times and gotten taken out even more, I have to downgrade it to 3.5-4 stars.I’m envious of some of the pictures people are posing because for me, the food has become too inconsistent. The last time we’re there, the la zi wasn’t freshly prepared (a restaurant of their caliber should change fry oil more often). Portions are getting smaller and the prices higher. Finally, the service can be slow and the music is too loud for the small space. Will I still go there? Yes - in hopes to replicate my first experience in which the food was truly delicious and surmounted all other negatives.

The food is neither authentic nor modern Chinese, 3/4 of the dishes we ordered are not tasty. The order of how they served dishes was not great: they served us dishes one by one, and fried rice first without other meat or vegetables dishes. For a while, we were only eating bland rice without anything else. They use disposable chopsticks, as those are not smooth, a piece of wood actually got into my skin - people with children should to be careful.

I'm not too sure about this place. From the overbearing txt and email reminders about our reservation and most notably, our time limit, to the absurd prices and poor greeting. Nearly the first thing that was mentioned to us when we walked in was our time limit which is a very abrasive way to greet a customer. Having a time limit and charging those prices is a slap in the face. Thousands of other restaurants have figured out how to manage reservations but it seems like Hop Alley can't. It would be interesting to see the actual data (if Hop Alley has it) of people staying longer than 90 minutes...I'm willing to bet it's quite low which makes the time limit obsolete. Also, it would be nice if the staff wore something a little nicer than saggy kitchen pants when delivering the food. Again, the prices don't align with what was received. The entire experience doesn't warrant anything higher than a 3 out of 10.

Came here for late night eats and ordered a few items.1. Wontons - 8/10 These were pretty regular nothing spectacular2. Bone Marrow Fried Rice - 8.5/10 It was flavorful but the cone marrow wasn't as present as it could have been.3. Sichuan Pepper Fish - 9/10 Spicy and portion size was just right. I'd order this again.4. Three Cup Chicken - 7/10 It was decent but not notable.Overall, the food was good but for pricing it's a little expensive. The vibe is really col with the kitchen right there next to the tables. There's also a lot of OG HipHop photo prints hung up which drew me to come here int he first place lol.
Unsure how this place currently has 4 stars. This is the best restaurant I've eaten at in Denver, hands down. Service and quality of food were exceptional

Awful! My mouth is so on fire right now I'm not going to be able to finish this $27 chicken after 2 bites and I love spicy food. I'm actually hyperventilating. It's some kind of dry rub and I am in pain right now. In addition, the portions are a joke (not that I will be able to eat another bite). But for $87 dollars it's 2 tiny containers of chicken like $27 each and 1 boa bun for like $12 and 1 container of rice for 2 people. But honestly my mouth and lips are on fire and my nose is running so I need to go get some yogurt or something. Don't not order from here!! Horrible experience and need to throw it all away.

Amazing sauces. Excellent garlic eggplant, pork dumplings, good cocktail options. A bit pricey but worth it for the service and unique flavor profiles!

Having spent time in the bay, it's been hard to find amazing Asian food in Denver. Hop Alley does not disappoint. Cold Tofu, Szechuan Chicken, Duck rolls and Singapore noodles were all phenomenal. You can't go wrong! Also definitely get the chili oil. It's got amazing flavor.
