Jax is a Denver classic. I started going here when I worked up the street 15+ years ago. Denver has changed so much in that time - but Jax has consistently stayed the same - amazing seafood, a fun beverage program, and excellent service are always on the menu. Tonight I had the seafood chowder. I chose it because it's a bit chilly out. It was absolutely perfect. I also had a cocktail from the specials menu called the acid trip - it was transcendental!

A great spot downtown. All the things you’d expect from a top-notch place: a great happy hour (all day on Mondays!), amazing and friendly service, and of course perfectly-done drinks and eats.But what really sets it apart is that the staff has consistently went above and beyond every time I’ve visited. Little touches to make my friends and I feel special. Major shoutout to the staff and especially our waiter Elica for always going one step beyond with service and hospitality.Will definitely be back for another happy hour soon!

We enjoyed a great late dinner at Jax in LoDo. The oysters were perfectly prepared and some of the best we've had. All of the dishes from our appetizer to our fish entrees were incredibly delicious and full of multiple levels of flavor. This was our second visit and even better than our first. We will make this a staple for Denver seafood eateries.

Amazing experience and my favorite seafood restaurant. This review is long overdue and it's been a year since I visited - clearly this restaurant is still on my mind! The quality of the fish here is incredible, the staff was friendly and the drinks were good. We tried to walk-in without a res (big mistake) but made a reservation for the very next day. It was extremely busy but we never felt pressured to eat quickly. Definitely recommend the calamari. Jax will be my go-to spot whenever visiting Denver.

Went there yesterday and got extremely disappointed. We had to beg our server to pay attention! She was absent most of the time, didn't care to refill water, didn't care to ask if we wanted more food or drinks - we ordered appetizers and kept the menus. She did not want to be there! We could have easily doubled our bill but that attitude was ridiculous. I worked in service for years and would have never treat my guests with such disrespect. Will not be back. Oysters were good though.

My friend and I both had the seared yellow fin tuna with agedashi; it was excellent! the waiter was good; he could have been a bit more friendly. and it was a bit too loud, but it was a good atmoshpere. it was my first time to Jax, and I will definitely go again.
