This is a disappointing review to write, moreso to experience. I've been coming here for years, and I've always tried to avoid the angry old man behind the counter. Today I needed to buy about $100 for a little soiree in my French class finale. I made the grievous error of politely asking him to cut the larger ones in half because they were too big to eat at desks. He exploded in fury about this simple task. He is a curmudgeonly, angry, ugly old man who has no business serving customers. I quit selecting the treats before I was finished, and decided to finish my order at another bakery. I will NEVER return here if that nasty man is behind the counter. I drop about $100 - $200/ month here, but someplace else will get our Sunday brunch business until after he's gone.Au revoir, Katherine's.Ok, response to Katherine. READ YOUR BAD REVIEWS. They ALL say the same thing about the same guy. What you're telling us is that customer service is not that important to you. I get it. You don't need my money anymore. Ciao.

On a Sunday morning, the place did get a little busy but a very pleasant crowd. Service was great. My omelette was cooked perfectly, unfortunately not well done enough for me and that's on me. I could've specified that I like my eggs as dry as cardboard. Seating is very open and tight. Not a place for private conversations but otherwise good atmosphere.

So many lovely options on the menu. Everything tasted great. Peach chicken salad with pecans, pain au Chocolat and cappuccino. Turkey with mango and curry on sourdough with baked french onion soup and a few small cookies. Another visit with salad and quiche with coffee. Great service! Thanks ?

Katherine's is an absolutely lovely place to come for breakfast, lunch, or dicious treat! The staff are sweet, kind and genuinely friendly and you feel like you've walked into a little French patisserie. The sandwiches are delicious but so are the sweets--and I've tried many! One of my fav spots in Denver.

Stopped in after church for a cup of cappuccino and pastries. Pastries are truly authentic as you'd get in France. Great selections. Their breakfast meals look absolutely delicious so I'm sure the wife and I will be back to indulge in one of the many selections. If you go on Sundays, be prepared to wait a bit as it was extremely busy but the wait is truly worth it. The owner is VERY friendly and he runs a FANTASTIC little restaurant.Parking: Small parking lot. Very busy on a Sunday. Parking is available nearby on the street and in one of the shuttered businesses close by
I am totally addicted to their croissants, especially the almond, but the others are also excellent including the ham and cheese. I also love the quiche, especially the goat cheese, quiche, and quiche Lorraine. They are definitely worth the trip such a wonderful and friendly place and a great spot to stop for breakfast or brunch. I failed to mention the tarts which are also made from hand and wonderful..

Awesome fresh French pastry, tarts and great coffee! Try the Napoleon. Best I've had in a long time. The cinnamon buns are unlike whatever you imagine. Light, soft and flaky. Not heavy like in the mall.

Coffee was good and the environment is great. Was never checked in by my server, resulting in no coffee refills and had to go up front for the bill.
The best almond croissants ever. I ordered a quiche and it was amazing. I wasn't a huge fan of the mocha (but I'm not a huge coffee drinker, so it doesn't count), but it's hard not to stop by on my way to work.
