The only thing I can say about this place was their guacamole was average. From the food to the service, it was awful. With all the amazing taco places in and around the area, don't waste your time.
Great after brunch snack spot or for no-fuss dinner. Drinks are awesome and service is great. Quite a unique find in N Cherry Creek. So be sure to check it out with friends, grab some food, drinks and do a tequila shot or two for sure. Then go shopping.
Excellent tacos. Great place. But the price went up really high. My fav taco is shrimp. Veggie tacos are also great. Great options for vegetarians ✌?
Al Pastor……. Highly recommended. Margarita was heavy on tequila, definitely delicious.
Machete has amazing tacos and a variety of margaritas. Their service was excellent, great place to go out to with a group! Plan on spending a little bit of $$ when you go.
I’m from Chicago so I was like why would I go to Denver to have tacos. I was absolutely wrongGreat food. I went here 2x in 2 daysHighly recommend the langosta tacos, pollo rozitazo, shishido peppers
I have been coming here for years! I used to love coming here. Still love the food, and the drinks are amazing. The only thing preventing me from giving 5 stars is the service. I’m not sure what has happened but the servers used to be so nice and friendly. The last 4-5 times I’ve been here the servers have been rude, not friendly, rushing, and like they’re wanting to push us out. It’s now an uncomfortable, intimidating and awkward experience. I’m not sure why the decrease in customer service but it’s making myself my colleagues and friends really uncomfortable because they all blatantly notice as well and make the same remarks. I come here in groups usually. The attitude and overall vibe of the servers are so blatantly negative, we now feel like we’re walking on eggshells every time we come in. It’s disheartening, and makes me not want to come to this location anymore.
My favorite taco spot in Denver! As someone who works in food service as well, this location exemplifies what it means to work together as a team. Someone is always looking out for you. From the margaritas and salsas to the tacos and desserts, there is something for everyone here. My mother and brothers are new to Denver, so I knew I had to take them here immediately. Machete never disappoints.
Any time we're in the mood for awesome tacos, this is the place we go. We came tonight and I had the arrachera, the campechano, the al pastor, and the tinga tacos. SO GOOD! We also had the ceviche for an appetizer. These are perfect street taco sizes, so you can order four and not feel too full. Our server was GREAT! It was her first night, and if she hadn't told us, we wouldn't have known. She was so cool, really attentive, and was joking around with us. We had a great time. I love that you can get chili on the rim of your margarita, too. They serve their chips with four different salsas, which are all super tasty. If you're in the mood for some legit tacos, this is the place!
EXCELLENT tacos, super friendly service, and totally mellow outdoor seating. Great choice of tacos, whether veggie, beef, chicken, fish, or seafood. I would say 2-3 tacos are enough per person. If you are in Cherry Creek and craving something really good, make a beeline to 3rd and Detroit. You won’t regret it!
Delicious drinks and tacos in an unfussy setting. Awesome spot to grab a lunch and sit outside or happy hour and dinner. We’ve been a few times and everything we have tried here has been awesome. The spicy rico marg is super hot, if you’re a jalapeño fan, you’ll love it, if you can’t stand the heat, definitely pass, but it’s really good. The guacamole and chips with salsa trio is a good starter and all the tacos have been great. Most recently we tried the campechengo, al pastor, and arrachera tacos, as well as the chicken quesadilla - all were delicious. The service was fast and friendly. We’ll be back
Watch your bill as they overcharge you very easily and yet won't say anything about it. The food was god but I won't likely be heading back there especially for drinks. If I do go back, I will pay cash ans ask foe an itemized bill right away which they did not give me at the time I went there with friends. So ASK foe AN ITEMIZED BILL RIGHT AWAY!!!
We got good recommendations from our waiter and did enjoy our meal. They have good variety of tasty food.But... I didn't have any tequila, so maybe I missed a great aspect of the appeal. There are a lot of places a short drive away with better food for less. So, if you're in the area and understand the overhead will mean food which doesn't quite reflect the price, but don't want to travel it's a cool environment and tasty food in walking distance of cherry creek mall area hotels.
Stopped in to grab some lunch and I picked a pretty good day because it wasn't crowded at all. The staff was really friendly and at the time I visited, mask were required and social distant rules were in effect.I started with a margarita and the chips and salsa... which was amazing but one of the salsa dips were hot... it had my head sweating like crazy but I love spicy food so I was there for the punishment. For my main lunch, I went with the local favorites...Arrichera, Al Pastor and I wanted the Langosta but they were out. So I went with the Bacalao Al Pastor. While I had my mouth set on that lobster taco... I wasn't disappointed in the tacos at all. I will certainly be back becuase I want to try the Langosta.I thoroughly enjoyed the staff as they continued to check on me and to make sure if I needed another drink or just anything in general.Kudos to the staff and the bartender because that Margarita was on point!I highly recommend you give them a try and if you do, tell'em Drew sent ya!Y'all be Easy!Drew✌?
Good place for gourmet tacos. The uniqueness of the spot is you look at Union Station from across the street. The restaurant is located in busy downtown Denver but was really worth the drive in. We'd definitely go back.
