“I LOVE vital root. I work in the area and my boss and I have our meetings here. I have never been disappointed with the food. It's allergy friendly and everything can easily be made vegan. They can accommodate for a lot of different diets without sacrificing flavor and texture. The cashews queso is unparalleled. Its better than most real queso I have had. The falafel wrap is my go to for something healthy and filling. They have a gorgeous small back patio that is shaded, great for summer and the front patio has direct sun the rest of the year. I will always recommend this place to people touring the neighborhood.Update: they recently added a "chicken" and dosa waffle that you MUST try. Run, don't walk it is to die for!Update Update: they have changed a lot on their menu and all of it is still FIRE. They got rid of the only thing I hated (the sprout head sandwich) and from what I can tell they have better less dry gf bread. The root vegetable Reuben is so good and filling but because it's carby vegetables instead of meat it does leave you hungry in about two hours but still worth it imoSad update: they got rid of their hemp cocao cookies in favor of FAR inferior choc chip cookies. They are weird, hard and don't have as good of a flavor.Vegetarian options: 100% vegan restaurantDietary restrictions: Also 99% gluten free!!“
“The Denver area has been an enjoyable restaurant experience for us, and we've yet to encounter terrible service or food quality. Root Down is another one of those great experiences.Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly. My husband and I are on our healthy lifestyle change adventure. I was concerned we may not be super welcomed due to our appearance as I am overweight. I love to report that there was never a need for that concern at this location. I've read many reviews regarding restaurants like this that indicated a cliqueish nature and a rudeness to newcomers. Our experience was the opposite. Our waitress was knowledgeable and friendly, with a lot of smiles. We had several seating options and chose the patio to the left of the entrance. We thoroughly enjoyed the Denver skyline and the warmth of the heaters outside. It was a very nice atmosphere. The menu is fabulous. Root Down caters to those with specific dietary requirements and needs without a hint of rudeness or hint to inconvenience. They were glad to accommodate, even though we needed none.Spring Salad and Veggie Burgers were what we ordered. Both delightful and delicious. We were impressed by the staging of the food.If you're searching for a friendly place, great atmosphere, and fantastic non-processed foods at a restaurant that supports sustainability, this is a place we highly recommend. It's perfect for vegans, gluten-free menu options, and healthy food options. You will leave feeling better and healthier than when you walked in.Thanks, Root Down, for such a wonderful experience and for providing amazing food options. This is what normal should be!Dietary restrictions: Fully accommodates restrictions and even willing to prepare without any cross contamination.“
“Best Vegan Pho in Denver! I have tried several places on Federal and this one beats them all with flavor. the tropical iced tea is super sweet and delicious just like they make it in the south!Vegetarian options: Vegan Pho by request with a vegetarian section on the menu“

“Y’all this place is SO GOOD. A must eat spot for anyone in Denver, vegans, vegetarians, and omnivores. Our party had all of the above and everyone loved it.We were visiting from Seattle and had our return flight canceled. After a stressful afternoon of rebooking everything, we came here to refresh ourselves with delicious food and drink, and boy did they deliver.I got a coconut orange cream Italian soda that was exactly the childhood nostalgia kick I needed, and ended up choosing the BBQ mac wrap with a side of the soup on our server’s recommendation.Speaking of, our server Austin was the BEST. He answered all of our many questions and refilled our drinks and split our check five ways even though he was very busy and we appreciated it greatly.I want to come back to Denver just to eat here again! The space is open and full of light, with cool light installations and art.Vegetarian options: All vegetarian! Pizzas have dairy cheese but vegan option availableDietary restrictions: Clearly marked. Most things are vegan, the pizzas have dairy cheese but vegan cheese options are available. Dishes are also marked if they are gluten free or contain nuts.“
“Went to have a bite with a friend, I ordered the pad thai shrimp. This place is absolute ? made it spicy and I was very impressed from the moment u walk in and the aroma hits u in the nose like a street sign staring at your phone to the taste of the food. 3 on atmosphere because ita so small but I can assure you if you're into thai food this is worth it.Parking: Park out on the east side walk through the ally good to go.“
“I had the vindaloo, described on the menu as "fiery". The waiter asked me if I like spicy. I do indeed, I told him. He smiled. When we got here, my head hurt, my back hurt, my shoulders hurt. After a single g&t (they make them with Empress gin, which is a lovely color) and a tidal wave of endorphins unleashed by the bushel or so of hot peppers that were concentrated into my bowl, nothing hurts.Five stars, would definitely recommend.“
“An easy 5 stars. As soon as we walked in, we loved the plant exchange, ambience, and spaciousness. Andrew Z made us feel immediately welcome and was so helpful all throughout our time here. He helped us navigate the menu, all of which was delicious. We enjoyed the cauliflower and seitan wings, the mushroom Philly cheesesteak (a must-try), and salad. We grabbed a babka to go, which looked great. Fantastic, attentive service, with a great menu. Loved that everything was vegan, including the bakery. Lots of specials and happy hour options. Highly recommend!“
“Tarascos is a must try! This is one of the best Mexican restaurants in Lakewood, in my opinion. Their food tastes authentic and incredibly flavorful. I highly recommend their chicken mole enchiladas and melon Aguas fescas. They also have vegan options too and offer a variety of healthy options, which I thought was so cool!“
“This place overall was very good, price point for what we got was really good in my opinion. It's nice that you can order in front and then sit down as if you're at a normal restaurant. I would highly recommend going here if you have no other options or cant choose a place, they have good options for just about everyone!“
“We were group of six. No problem paying seperetaly. The food was all good, Brussel sprouts, Wings, Slicers, Chicken tenders and more, everything was very good, some excellent. The beer selection is simply perfect and other drinks were good. The server was super nice. Best of all - it was not as loud as many similar bar/restaurant places I have been to.“
“The pho was delicious. The way you rate it would depend in your priorities. My pho kit was amazing. Lots of fresh delicious veggies. Good amount of tasty broth. Only lost a star because there was only about 2 ounces of chicken and it was dry and tough. The wings were good and the house sauce is tasty. Wings also come with scrumptious fresh veggies.“
“It’s the only restaurant I visited in Denver downtown. The food was healthy and delicious. Server was friendly. Feeling relaxed in the restaurant. They have so many seats so you don’t have to eat in rush. Please order their juice it’s so special.“
“Got a wonderful salad and ate outside. The service was excellent and there were many choices! This place is super clean and I loved every bite! As I was coming back in to return the fork that I borrowed the man at the door asked how my salad was. I told him great! He was smiling and said thank you!“
“This place is sooooo amazing, if you want amazing service and even better food come here. It is criminal that this place is not popping 24/7. Need a good date spot? Right here baby. Need a quick bite? Right here baby. Just want to enjoy the amazing Indian cuisine? Right here baby.“
