“This gas station Chicken shack has quite the reputation for good fried chicken. It did not disappoint. I had the jambalaya for a side ithat was surprisingly good. Throw out any notions of gas station garbage on rollers or microwaved junk. This is actually quite good. Not really anywhere to sit, although they have a long table with chairs that are not in use. I met the cook not only was he very helpful, it was quite clear he really enjoyed making good food. While I do not see any James Beard awards in the near future for these guys, if you're on the highway and want a quick bite to eat this actually good, this is the stop”

“Met people for coffee at Dee’s today. The frappe was perfectly prepared. The place is hopping! The baking is a feast for the eyes. The employees were singing and doing little dance steps as they prepared the coffee and baked goods. It’s hard to get a table but worth the wait to be in such a colorful, happening place that serves good food!”

“Visited here today for the first time and was pleasantly surprised with how good the BBQ is and how reasonable the prices are. I was the only customer at 12:15pm on a Friday. They had a ton of smoked food available including chicken, sausage, ribs, brisket to name a few. Opted for the 2 mean combo and got ribs and brisket. My total was less than $28 and there was easily more than enough ribs and brisket for two meals and I'm pretty good at eating BBQ. There was plenty of parking in the lot that the food truck/smoker is located in. They take credit cards and have plastic ware and plenty of napkins. I tried the mustard sauce on the ribs and sweet heat sauce on the brisket and couldn't pick one that I liked more - they were both excellent and the sweet heat was plenty hot. I didn't try any sides this visit, but I'm already looking forward to my next visit. Seriously good - and quick - BBQ!”
