I’m writing this review with a heavy heart because I only just discovered Stockman’s Cafe, but at the end of the month (August, 2023) the wonderful owner is retiring and a new restaurant will take the place of this gem. As much as it makes me sad to not be able to have Stockman’s chicken fried steak and eggs anymore, I wish the owner well. Tucked away in a non-descript stockyard building, and needing GPS help to find, Stockman's Cafe is just that: a cafe to service the local stockyard tradesmen and staff. Of course all folks are welcome and the wait staff and cooks are very friendly and attentive.Think "diner" but with more attention to the food selections and preparation. Plus they are good folk.We eat there often and are working our way through the menu.

Old style cafe and that is not a bad thing at all. Had chicken fried steak, very good.1 of the best breakfast burrito around.Still a great place for breakfast.Still best breakfast burrito I have found. Patti, the owner, is most friendly around and takes care of her patrons.
