“One of the last places that still brings you a round of chips and salsa on the house. Chips were good, still warm. Salsa is tangy and mild. Had the traditional chili rellenos. Rice and beans on the platter were both very good! The rellenos were flat; mostly browned egg, not much batter. I asked for the hot green chili, but it was not even the slightest bit hot or spicy. It was also on the tangy side rather than savory. I have to admit I was disappointed in my dinner. The service was excellent, however, and everyone there kept a smile on their face. The atmosphere is more Cafe style, brightly lit.“
“This place is delicious! Everything was prepared fresh! They have lots of seating inside and out. There is paid parking in the front but there is a free parking lot behind the restaurant. Highly recommend the double-decker tacos! It's kind of on the pricey side for Mexican food, but it was worth it, in my opinion.Parking: Recommend parking in the back of the restaurant because it's free. They do have paid parking in the front if you can find a spot.“
“Enjoyed lunch here for the first time today. It was a great experience! The food is tasty for budget Mexican food. Our waitress, I think her name was Tish, is OUTSTANDING! We had a large party of our family (13 people) and she NEVER had us needing anything. She kept our drinks refilled, chips available and our order came out PERFECT despite many changes on many dishes! I'd highly recommend giving this restaurant a try and if you are lucky enough to get Tish, you will be greatly blessed! ?Vegetarian options: My mom is vegetarian and was able to have a plethora of options to order from. They will accommodate any dish for you and customize to what you need.Dietary restrictions: I have an allergy to MSG (monosodium glutamate). This restaurant was so kind when I emailed a couple of days before our visit to double check all of their ingredients to make sure it was safe for me to eat. I was so impressed with this customer service! Also happy to report that nothing (except for their tamales of which they couldn't confirm ingredients in) on their menu has msg in it! Also speaks volumes to them using quality ingredients!Parking: Large parking lot with ample parking space.Kid-friendliness: They accommodate children and their needs. They have kids meals, high-chairs and booster seats. They are super friendly and kind to kids.Wheelchair accessibility: My mom recently had ankle surgery and was in a wheelchair. We were easily able to get her in and out of the restaurant and they had perfect seating for her too.“
“So happy we stumbled upon this restaurant for my husband's pre-birthday dinner with me. I cannot say enough how much we enjoyed our meals and service! We got the elote corn for an appetizer. My husband had never had a taco salad like this before but he really enjoyed it. Among the many gluten free options, I got the street tacos with grilled chicken. The portions were amazing for the price! We'll be visiting again soon for their breakfast menu!“
“First time here. Just got the breakfast burritos. Mine with mild green Chili, hubs got hot. Both were delicious! Can't wait to come back and try the lunch menu. Thanks for being so nice!Parking: They have their own parking lot off Colfax, which is nice“
“I’m very picky about my food- this was absolutely delicious! I’ve never been so impressed by a salsa. Each bite had so much flavor. Green chille was fantastic, the meat in the tacos was super tender. This will be your new favorite Mexican restaurant once you try it !“
“Definitely a solid, consistent place for fast but quality Mexican food. Everything is made to order so it might take a little longer than a normal drive through but honestly that's why I go here. Love both the Asada Tacos and Lakewood Burrito.“
“They catered an event for us and the food was absolutely amazing. The fish and shrimp tacos were so good. They had a good spicy flavor but weren't over the top. We had about 60 people for an event and everyone got food in a timely manner and everyone raved at how good the food was. Highly highly recommend!!!!“
“Pregnant donkey made vegetarian with vegan green Chile is the bomb!! The salsa bar is fresh and spicy. I was happily surprised with the quality of Mexican food here as most places in CO suck. They could have used more help as they were very short handed however. Will definitely be back!!!“
“We had 4 people in our party and all of us loved the food! Two of us shared the fajitas for two and it was enough for three. The others said theirs were really good too. They were slow in refills but the food was hot. I would definitely eat here again!“
“Discovered this great restaurant when I used to work at the DMV in Lakewood over 10 years ago. I'm from Texas so I'm picky about my Mexican food, but Max's is great! My husband and I have no problem traveling from our home near Lowry out to Lakewood to eat at Max's. I meet old coworkers there for lunch as well. I highly recommend it!Vegetarian options: Veggie breakfast burrito smothered with cheese is great“
“First visit today, was craving ? tacos haha. Staff were extremely friendly and checked on me which I really appreciated! The food was good but I was disappointed that they would serve me tacos with bad cilantro.? I tried to eat around it but you know how it tastes when it’s gone bad? Yeah, and such a simple and inexpensive ingredient too. Maybe just an oversight today..More quality control please. Everything else was great. The staff even waved ? goodbye. Aww I was impressed by the staff! The taco sure had nice presentation!“
“Great service, great food. I tried a lunch combo and the amount of food was good for the price and a good portion for lunch. Food was not too heavily seasoned but there were extra sauces available to punch it up. I had to try the sopapias and was not let down - they were fantastic. Restaurant was clean and staff was very friendly.“
“Absolutely wonderful local place. It's a family joint that just does everything well. From the fantastic salsas that come with the chips, to super fresh and big oysters, to excellent menudo and tacos, I've yet to have anything here that I haven't loved. There are great specials every day and a great happy hour from 15:00 to 18:00.I'm always greeted by fantastic and prompt service and just peeking into the open kitchen you can tell how much care and attention goes into the food here. This is coming from a former chef as well.“
“I decided to check it out based on a 5280 mag review for best breakfast burritos in Denver. Nice little place in a strip mall. Fast service and pleasant people. In terms of the burrito, I got a breakfast with bacon. The tortilla was very good. The burrito itself was very potato forward which may or may not be your jam. They dice the bacon which I like. The burrito was very dry though. You'd want to be ready with sauce/salsa. Flavor was tasty. I wouldn't make a special trip there again, but would hit it up if in the area.“
“Came here for lunch on a whim this Saturday! Waiting for our server, Kevin came and greeted us very warmly and let us try a sample of the “boom boom” sauce which is a really yummy chili / queso kind of dip that I would highly recommend! Reece was our server and he was phenomenal, very timely and answered all our questions we had, tended to our needs efficiently and friendly. Honestly did not know what to expect coming in here walking off the street, but Kevin & Reece’s customer service was unmatched!! They were so amazing and deserve some praise!“
“Parking: Plenty of parking.Kid-friendliness: It's a family restaurant which serves adult bevergies. Reasonable prices, friendly staff.Wheelchair accessibility: Not sure. I would call them to make sure they canAccommodate wheelchairs.“
“Probably the Mexican food that I've had in a long time!I had the cheese quesadilla which comes with avocado, jalapenos, lettuce, tomatoes, and sour cream. So tasty and cooked perfectly. Be sure to try each of their four sauces- so flavorful and each is pretty different from rest. Will definitely be back again. And again.“
“We came on a Wednesday when they have a live Mariachi band! The owner came out and sung about a love lost. We had skinny margaritas that were perfect. As a confession, I actually hate avocados. This guacamole was so good, I thought I was going to eat it until I died. I had the menudo with the bolillo and my god. This was one of the best bowls I've ever had. They were even able to satisfy a vegan request my partner had. The only problem we had was how easy it was for us to get a table. Why isn't this place packed all the time? 10/10 will come here every chance I get! Also buy the the band a drink!“
“Stopped with by with friends for dinner and enjoyed their yummy drinks and food. We were able to get several drinks each from their margarita towers. Food was tasty and perfect! We had smothered tamales which were some of the best I’ve had. Ceviche and enchiladas were also great! Staff was friendly and welcoming. They also have live music which was a plus. Can’t wait to go back.“
“I love this place. The service is amazing. My service dog is allowed with no problems. The ladies that work on the floor Nancy and Delia are the best. So welcoming when we come in the door. The food is excellent. We eat here quite often. I'm a regular and one continued to be a regular.“
“We stopped in after seeing the”now open” sign. The staff were helpful and service was quick. We ordered a mixed taco plate and carnitas burrito. Both were delicious! The salsa bar was fresh with many good flavors to try. We highly recommend!“
“BEST MEXICAN FOOD EVER! Everything was just amazing and so enjoyable from the rice to the tacos to the SALSA the dessert, absolute 10/10 on food no questions. And the service just made everything that much better when I came in to order for the first time. Gonna recommend and come back!“
“If you’re hungry and driving down South Sheridan and you see the Taco Bell, pull right in. Then go through to the back for some of the best Birria Tacos you’ve had at El Palenque. Owner and staff lovely and accomodating. Support your locals. Screw the chains. This is the real deal 10/10 ~✅??✅“
“Really recommend place,Staff are so nice and kind, food is the best food ever,Overall the best restaurant!!Vegetarian options: it has salads and many more vegetarian food.Kid-friendliness: As i said staff are nice and very gentle with the kids,my kids loved it mostly the employees.Parking: Alot of parking, and options of parking“
“Señor Burritos is a neighborhood gem. Not only does Miguel serve up fresh food to order, but the menu includes some specialty items like the chicharrones burrito that you can't find in many other places. If you grew up in Colorado, the South West, you love hole-in-the-wall Mexican food (you know the vibe) and are looking for that comfort food with authenticity and decades of family history, here's your spot.I'm still exploring the menu, and will have to check out the sister location - literally Miguel's sister on 1st and Broadway - to see what's best across this family owned and operated business. With restaurants coming and going, Señor Burritos has survived the test of time for a reason!“
“After a very long wait, my family was able to enjoy a late afternoon at Casa Bonita! This place is truly magical and everything it is made out to be.Since the 80s...I've come here with my parents as a kid, with my sports teams, with my wife, with my wife and friends, with my family, and now with my daughters and grandkids. Very pleased and happy that it's open again...Atmosphere is just incredible...with the music, the characters, clean smell of the water, roar of the volcano, and the anticipation for exploring while eating a very good dinner. Our servers were outstanding - friendly and patient with us even though they were busy.... fantastic attitudes that embodied the spirit of the restaurant to the T!The four adults in our group had different options and shared - it was delicious, well plated, and so filling. I also had an extra sopapilla that the kids couldn't eat...so yummy! It is pricey and the reservation process is painful. Parking was crowded. Security is a new but welcomed twist to the experience.Once you get inside though, it's classic Casa Bonita - with shine!I can't recommend making the effort to enjoy this gem enough. The kids get a map detailing the characters that they need to "find" throughout the property. And don't miss the extra magic show, puppet show, and a revamped Black Bart's Cave (kids under 10 were terrified, so awesome job!). Also, everyone gets a coin to make a wish at the Wishing Well! These all share the same feel as the restaurant. Oh, and cliff divers are back, gotta see them at least a few times while there...The arcade is not the highlight I remember it to be, but the munchkins got face painting and balloons galore so nobody noticed. At the exit you'll find a small museum that shows the history of Casa Bonita. No treasure for the kids though. Still, it's a neat way to conclude your time at Casa Bonita. It was a wonderful afternoon. Thank you!“
“Really enjoy stopping in here. Quick and friendly. I orderd a burrito today with bacon and sausage but was given one with chorizo in it. Unfortunately, I couldn't eat it since I don't eat chorizo. But other than that I'll be back in soon to try something else.“
“I was starving after a long day and my family was at Colorado Mills visiting from out of town. I have celiac and when I tell you they were thoughtful, compassionate and knowledgeable about what they could serve me and keep me safe...it literally blew my mind! They changed gloves, washed their hands and advised me about what does and does not contain gluten. They were incredible and went above and beyond (as far as I am concerned) with helping me stay safe with my food choices. It is really difficult to eat food that is safe going out for people with celiac and these folks did a stellar job!! On top of it, my bowl tasted incredible!! The chicken was fresh, had no fatty texture and everything just tasted so good! 10/10 Go visit this Qdoba!! Not only do they make great food, they genuinely care about you and food safety. 100% recommend to anyone.“
“These days I find it hard to just find a good place to eat no matter what kind of food it is. Especially how picky of an eater I am. This is one place I would recommend especially the chili cheese fries. It does take any where between 15 min to a half hour to get your food so I wouldn't recommend it if you're in a hurry. But if you have a minute to wait it's worth it.“
“Had the queso Birria tacos. They where so good! The tacos alone are great, with the consome there some of the best I've ever had! Also had a plate with chicken, steak, bacon wrapped shrimp and it was extremely good too. Pictured is birria tacos and a smothered tamale. I think you can get any food here and it will be good; However the service though good has a downside of basically everyone speaks Spanish only so we had difficulty trying to get corn tortillas for the plate and they kept bring out flour ones. Maybe they where out of corn and where trying to play it off I don't know but very small issue for how good the food is, I will definitely go back!“
