We enjoyed our self-guided tour of the home. The woman at the front desk greeted us and gave us a little information along with a map that contained information on each room in the castle. This home of a former priest was built for himself and his mother, and later used by nuns. The caretakers of this castle have done an amazing job with restorations and placing information throughout the home to learn about the style of the room, its use, and the people who lived there. Gorgeous historical site. Visiting this museum takes you back to the original time period (1895). Very beautifully designed and maintained, everything in this museum demonstrated the care in preserving the authenticity of the time period. Given the chance, I would highly suggest having High Tea in the Queens Parlor—very unique experience that will not disappoint. The lady at the front was absolutely amazing didn’t waste our time or our money. We were short on time and she went through the directions as fast as she could. It was great because she helped get us to the starting point of the castle. Astonishing experience please visit any chance you get and make sure to tip the lady in the front she is one heck of a lady! Thank you for the grand experience!
