Never been to a Smash Burger, tried a truffle mushroom burger and got something the size of a Jr. bacon cheeseburger that looked like it was sitting out for a while cause the cheese was hard and it was COLD! My half full cup of tots with the pool of oil on the bottom was the highlight. Bad part is, I don't know if this is the norm for smashburger or not.
It’s a little steep and hard to fathom paying $14 for a single patty burger and tots at a casual dining restaurant. But the mac and cheese burger was quite good, especially because the mac is smashed into the sandwich, so it doesn’t fall all apart. The garlic aioli was way too strong of garlic, coming from someone who loves garlic.
