We are Mexican food snobs. I could explain why, but it doesn't matter. We are. For the longest time, the only places we would go back to were Baja's in Orange (still fabulous) and Mexicali Rose in New Town (have not been for years - must return!). In a pinch we might go somewhere else, but really no place nearby satisfied. Until we went to La Fonda. It is in the corner of an ordinary strip mall on Main Street, around the corner from the shoe repair shop we love (Two Brothers)....read full review
Friendly staff in a very inviting atmosphere. Tasty food and a good size portion. ? very reasonably priced.Hubby had shrimp tacos... and I had their fried fish taco?... mine was off the chain... delicious... you get three tacos a side of cilantro sauce for the fish and hot sauce and green sauce for the shrimp ... I couldn't finish my fish tacos. While you wait for your meal, the serve up some homemade chips and homemade salsa dip... yuummm!!I must warn you, please dont be fooled...read full review

I always order the Molcajete Azteca but today I wanted to try something different. WOW!! The Seafood Molcajete is wonderful. The dish comes with rice and bread, but you can order an order of homemade tortillas on the side. The food is very very delicious, I recommend it.
