“Maybe off the beaten path and a no frills location but TOP NOTCH BBQ. First time trying Roysters but will not be our last. Some of the best BBQ I have had in CT. We tried nearly every meat and side available (Brisket, Pulled Pork, Beef Ribs, Pork Ribs, and Jalapeño Cheddar Sausage plus both cornbreads, smoked mushrooms, baked beans mac n cheese and coleslaw). Every bite was fantastic! Excellent smoke rings and nice bark, great spice to the BBQ sauce. You gotta give it try if in the area. Keep it up Brian, it was nice meeting you Sat. We will see you soon!”

“I haven't gone out for a GOOD pizza in a long time. There has been a lot of hype over Fuoco Apizza so I was excited to finally check them out. They are conveniently close by from my work too. Don't know why I haven't been by sooner. Fuoco has really set the bar high with their coal-fired pizza. The pizza is slightly and perfectly charred (or burnt) that it elevates the flavor. The crust was not too crunchy and the bottom wasn't soggy from the sauce. We went simple with our pie choices: Original Mozzarella, Margherita, and The New Haven. What makes it The New Haven pizza? It's a classic tomato pie with crushed tomato sauce, garlic, oregano, olive oil, pecorino. The sauce, cheese and spices lived up to the hype. A few months back, Dave Portnoy of Barstool Sports visited Fuoco and gave them a 8.5 one bite review. If you follow his pizza ratings--that is very high. The pizza, in my opinion, was some of the best New Haven style. I liked that the cheese didn't slide off with a single bit and I did not kill the roof of my mouth (iykyk). It's probably the best pizza around without traveling into New Haven and the best pizza local to Cheshire. Next time we will kick it up a notch and try pies with toppings. It's is a great casual lunch spot with a small indoor dining area and a nice outdoor patio to enjoy on beautiful days. Besides pizza, the menu includes salads, sandwiches, appetizers, wings and desserts. They carry Foxon Park soda... The birch beer is an absolute staple! I love that the menu is simple and not overly complicated. You order at the counter that looks into the kitchen then you choose your seat. The staff were very friendly and the pizza comes out very quick. The pizzas came out at different times because they were pulling the directly from the coal fire oven. The restaurant was not busy either for lunch, but they had a lot of takeout orders. Anyway, if you are a pizza lover, put Fuoco Apizza on your list.”

“Delicious hot dog stand, the relish is A+, the Mint Rick Shake was solid, the cheeseburger was also very good. Hot dog had a great snap! Easy to get too off the highway. You know a spot is good when counter is full and no one is talking and just enjoying their meal!! Cash only & No Dancing!!”

“I saw a pic of their Penne al vodka in a review and it looked like they are generous with the sauce. So I tried it. They certainly are and I loved it. They use real cream. It was delicious.”

“Outstanding service. Split a rare porterhouse with spouse and sides of creamed spinach, mushrooms and mashed potatoes. Food was delicious and though I often think I could make it better at home, this was totally not the case last night. Definitely will return and perhaps go for cocktails to listen to the live music we overheard as we left. Great to have this outstanding restaurant in Cheshire!”

“We just had our baby shower at Counter Weight this past weekend and had an amazing time! The venue is beautiful and the staff was amazing! We worked with Nick to plan our event in the upstairs beer hall and even though we completely changed our contract the week of the event, Nick was super accommodating! The beer is amazing and they also have amazing non-alcoholic options. Thank you for helping us host a baby shower to remember forever!”

The hostess takes the call, they are always patient, answer and offer vegan options when needed with guests. Although the space is geared for pick up, it's welcoming and enough space for a brief wait or placing an order! Well done every time.”

“Toro sushi is the absolute best sushi place you can go to. It’s a little small hole in the wall place but they have such fresh and delicious sushi and rolls, I try to get lunch there at least every other week it’s so good and they are reasonably priced too. Highly recommend!!!!!”
