“Updated review; still one of my favorite places. I was reading some reviews: this is not Indian; it's Pakastani- slight different spices and presentation. And the fish and chips is solid; while it's not a proper 'Fish and Chips' pub, the combination of spices in the batter is phenomenal. It's a takeout place (you can eat there as well; just ambiance isn't 'wow'.) my preference: always the palak paneer (spinach with paneer), bangain archari (note; it's spicy eggplant dish), and kadhi pakora (veg dumpling in yellow yogurt sauce). Comes with naan, or rice; but get the naan: it's made fresh onsite and is huge and amazing. I always ask for tamarind sauce. If you're worried about spice level; they will accommodate you.“
“Wow. We were both very impressed. We got there as soon as they opened since we were in a hurry. We didn't wait long to be seated, and the service was quick. Now, we're no strangers to Indian food. My girlfriend often gets some Uber Eats deal (though I don't, despite being an Uber One member -- go figure) and we usually use it on one of the other two Indian places nearby. There's something about that spicy, spicey, fragrant cuisine that we can't get enough of. Bar Naan might be the best yet. Service started with tap water in a bottle, and the menu is a mix of traditional dishes and fusion items like a lamb burger and loaded masala fries. We ordered the traditional items -- it's a great way to compare places -- and it did not disappoint. The paneer curry had a wonderful flavor, and when I said "spicy", they did alright. My girlfriend's chicken tikka masala wasn't bad, either. We did get a little fusiony with the chili cheese naan, which was more like a quesadilla. Everything was probably the best I've had around here. Portions can vary wildly, but we both left full after having our entrees, a naan, and an appetizer. We'll be back. We'll order delivery if they support that. I think we found a new favorite.“
“Ordered take out from here recently. What a gem! The butter chicken was well cooked and the sauce was beautifully balanced and complex. The garlic naan was lovely-crisp on the edges and seasoned perfectly.Indian cuisine is not well represented in CT and many places aim for the middle to get by. Jaipore is putting out great flavors and textures that are worth the spend.“
“Stopped in when they first opened and got a burger and was pleased with the fast service and good burger. Recently stopped in for a sandwich made to order which was delicious! Friendly staff and a clean spot. Life saver for our bacon hunt on Christmas Day! If I could give more stars, I would! Stop by!“
“Absolutely amazing. Hands down one of the best restaurants I’ve been to (and I’ve been to a lot!)I’ve brought people who thought they didn’t like Indian food, only to love it somuch they couldn’t wait to go back. The atmosphere is subtle but sophisticated. The staff makes you feel at home. The food makes you dream about it until you can come back and then the cycle repeats itself.I feel so lucky to have Tandoori Flames as a local gem!Vegetarian options: I’m a vegetarian. My husband isn’t. This is a fantastic place for us because there are so many choices for both of us. Excellent in every way.“
“Just enjoyed lunch at this spot as it was a good meeting place for our group from New York and Rhode Island. We were pleasantly surprised! The food was delicious and the servers were friendly and helpful. A definite place to visit again!“
“My sister, daughter and I went today and we are so glad we did! Being not so familiar with the food options we asked for some help with the menu and they so graciously gave us descriptions and advice. The Butter Chicken was delicious and not too spicy and the garlic Naan was fantastic! We will definitely be back soon.“
