“I try to treat myself to their sandwiches once a week. As a native of New Haven area this is the only place that reminds me of the Italian delis at home. There sandwiches never disappoint and a great gem in the deep river area!”

“Was traveling for work and stopped at this adorable little shop with a great purpose. The employees were warm and welcoming. There is plenty of room to work, enjoy time with family and friends, or eat. The ambiance is beautiful with lots of plants, activities, and great lighting. The cappuccino and bagel I ordered were both delicious!”

“Some of the best bread I have had...comparable to Hungry Ghost in Northampton and Standard Bakery in Portland ME. Not just bread, great scones, cookies and sweet rolls. We haven't had the pastas and other things but they really do use the best ingredients and take their time with their yeast and sourdough breads. A true hidden gem.”

“Overall good experience.Appetizer was crispy duck wings which were delicious and perfectly cooked.For the mains I got the poke and my girlfriend, the veggie burger w/ truffle w/ fries. The poke included fresh tuna and the rice was cooked perfectly, however in my opinion the sauce was too tomatoey flavored and overpowered the rest of the dish. The veggie burger tasted good but would benefit from the patty being a little crispier.Had the warm chocolate chip cookie w/ ice cream for desert which was lovely.Overall good experience and would go back. “The Rusty Rail is at the top of my favorite places to eat after going there recently. The prices were very reasonable, everything tasted wonderful, and the atmosphere was perfect.I got the spicy chicken sandwich (I cannot remember the exact name of it) and a margarita. The sandwich was spicy enough to let you know you definitely ordered something spicy but nothing extreme. The amount of sauce on it was perfect to. Its not a sandwich drowing in sauce with a sloppy bun, but there is enough that you get some sauce with every bite.I'm very excited to go back. The hot dogs look out of this world.Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly, kids eat free on Wednesdays, which I think is unheard of.”

“Enjoyed breakfast on our way home from Old Saybrook. Small restaurant with very friendly staff and great food. Seemed very popular with locals which usually is a sign of good food at reasonable prices. Good place to try.”

“A very pleasant place, quiet, with a cozy fireplace, a bar and of course delicious food. The service is very nice, pleasant and friendly waitresses. I was there with my friends who almost a year ago moved to the US. They got in love with that place! Separate children's menu with good selection. Delicious cocktails, thanks to the bartender! And of course I was delighted with the food, thanks to the chef and his team! I ordered stuffed mushrooms for an appetizer- just great! I also ordered a harvest salad with pieces of steak - oh God it was just magical! My friends ordered smokehouse burgers and were absolutely delighted! I highly recommend this place! Me and my friends want to go back there in the summer to enjoy eating outside because they also have tables outside!”

“Wandered in with a friend. We were looking for a quiet place to have a drink. Sat at the bar. The pinot noir was yummy so we stayed for another. Atmosphere warm and cozy. Service excellent. Stayed for dinner. Had the tagliarini with seared scallops. Amazingly good. I'm trying to figure out when I can go back. Glad to hear they are extending their hours to 7 days a week”

“It's Dunkin Donuts. Cheap, predictable. I would prefer an indie coffee shop but my sons really like to stop here. It's usually clean, does fun holiday decor, and the staff is efficient.”

“The Fried Calamari, Greek & regular salad plus a sausage, mushroom and onion pizza off the chart’s delicious! My partner is a NY pizza snob and I grew up on Wooster Street pizza, etc. By far Grand Apizza in Deep River has the best and most delicious food. Plus they’re consistent in flavor, texture along with all the goodies.”

“Absolute favorite restaurant. I cannot say enough good things about this place. The food is amazing. The drinks are amazing. The atmosphere is ridiculously lovely. “It's not Ichiran, but the Tonkotsu ramen honestly comes quite close (for me). For the middle of Connecticut where there's a major lack of good choices of ramen, this place hits the spot. It's also fast: I ordered, ate, and left within ~25 minutes. Will absolutely be coming back!Vegetarian options: Ask for replacements”

“A gem in this pretty town! Ordered white clam pizza and cheese pizza. Pizza's crust was thin and fragrant. Both pizzas were fantastic. Cheese pizza was not too salty and tasted just perfect. White clam pizza was just so good too. Staff were also friendly and setting was very casual. Hope to be back!”

“Love this spot. It gives Cape Cod vibes on the coast of CT--truly quintessential New England. It's majorly clean with plenty of seating inside and out. Beer options are plentiful and the IPAs (my favorite) were phenomenal and may be one of the best I've tried in a long time. They have the beautiful color down-- I knew before tasting it was going to be lovely. The food menu is plentiful and there are plenty of options for all tastes. This is the perfect stop after the beach or really any time. I'll be back again and again and can't wait to come here in the warmer months.”

“I haven’t been to Deb’s in a while, but dropped in on my way home from the airport. I was greeted like an old friend. I treated myself to the Country Fried Steak with Sausage Gravy breakfast. Outstanding…the best Country Fried Steak this side of Oklahoma. I’ve never seen so much sausage in gravy as I had today. I plan on treating myself more often. Mark me.”

“I am not from this area, but I stumbled upon this little coffee shop in my travels. I was warmly greeted, and they took my order immediately (this was 11am so not a rush hour for a coffee shop) and they made me one of the best lattes I've ever had. Had great flavor, and was nice and hot. About the same price point as Starbucks, but worth every penny to support a local shop. I would recommend a stop here!”

“What a pleasant surprise! We have been visiting our son for years who is part a program for disabled adults. We are foodies and have never been impressed with any food on the shoreline. This brunch was beyond all expectations! We will definitely be back.”

I'm a huge football fan it and was nice watching the playoffs last night on their big screen! I would definitely recommend this place.”

Their only reply was, "we don't have a table available at the moment".That's it! we were turned down! We asked a few more questions were able to get a reservation for 45 min later.The food was great, the wines were delicious.The wine tasting flights were about $18.”

“I was very impressed! Great seasonal cider with quite a few varieties. I recommend their Jack O Lantern Cider and Rhubarb wine. They had a fried chicken food truck that was "farm to food truck." We loved the two massive fire pits on the property- kept us there for hours!”
